I'll start off by saying I am in a group of referral group partners Who passed business among one another And we are supposed to follow a code of conduct which holds us to a higher standard in this case It was gravely forgotten
I had my roof installed on a Wednesday. It rained Wednesday night Thursday night and Friday night Wednesday night and Thursday night. I had rain inside my back. Door due to this vendor removing my gutters and denying, they ever touched them and deleting existing drip. Edge, because they had been informed that I was going to replace my drip edge, so I guess they thought what was there was unimportant. And since I wasn't letting them install it, nothing was replaced. ( They were going to charge me $558 additional dollars for a drip edge on a $10000 roof when drip edge should not even be an option. My plan was to have fascia and soffit installed with one piece fascia and drip edge, so I decided to decline their additional cost option. And just have my siding guy, do it I have since changed my mind again and am just having the house painted so just because I declined their drip edge does not mean mine is unnecessary, as things can change as they very much did in my case)This also left a piece of the existing drip edge, sticking up, causing my shingles to pop-up for some reason. They had dropped the gutters off my house and claimed they were rickety and fell off.I'll have to say that I have an alarm set in my phone for every two Months to clean out the gutter inlets at the downspout connection
Because I don't have gutter guards. I have done this every eight weeks 4 years, and I mess with those gutters each time, and they have never been loose or rickety I was also told that I'd never had drip. Edge, and they could tell that from a drone I have to say, these guys are not even roofers, they never even got on my roof they hired subcontractors, they are Roofing company owners, the gentleman I signed a contract with never put his feet on my roof that should have been a red flag from this information. They decided to tell me that the drip edge that I spent all afternoon Friday cutting off of my roof after they never showed up to do it theirselves, they're telling me that I must have imagined this, because there was never any drip. Edge, to begin with
Here is my response to them 2 1/2 days later and two nights of rain later, when I was tired of waiting on their guy to come fix the gutters to keep the rain out of my house, Who they said came by and only addressed the siding issue I had in the front where they had manipulated my siding for their roof installation and not put it back
This is my message to them:
A couple of nights ago I informed you of my dilemma And distress and what was occurring due to the finished product Left by your crew, we both knew more rain was coming and you failed to send someone out yesterday or the day before, knowing we had rainstorms coming Every night, so ,today I fixed the issue myself. I thought for sure someone would be here yesterday and last night would not have occurred. I was up at two in the morning, drying up my floor and changing towels in front of the door and hoping like heck that the rain slowed down
You were friendly and nice during the entire. First portion of our initial meeting and consultation and completely friendly during our further communication. However, once I showed any level of displeasant, you became a brick wall, this did not go unnoticed.
I would never treat anyone like this and I am in the customer service industry.
I can see where it appeared as if Rob didn't do anything but I know he did send our crew leader out the following day to fix the siding and look at what was going on with the gutters. Which he thought he did, come to find out he just fixed the siding. To his knowledge we were told by our foreman that they did not touch the gutters and had no idea why it would be having issues. Rob knew they were old and you were replacing them, so it wouldn't be odd for something to happen with heavy rain. The crew should have communicated any problems with the gutters so we could have been made aware. We didn't find out until Monday that that the gutters had fallen and they nailed them back improperly. That is something we are correcting with the crew and unfortunately too late for you. When Rob found out they hadn't looked at the gutters, he had the crew leader come back out there the next day. He wasn't able to get there until 1 due to another job.
If there was issues with some metal we needed to see it on the house. Its the only way we can fix and correct and handle the crew so there are never issues again. I know you have mentioned there was drip edge on your roof a couple times in messages but there wasn't drip edge on your roof before the roof was replaced, maybe you are thinking of something else? They only remove drip edge when replacing drip edge which you told Rob you were doing yourself. We looked at the videos read more
