INTEGROUS - That is the only way to describe Joe Sirgy CFP and Trilogy Financial in West Covina,…read moreCA, our financial advisor. Not only is Joe an experienced, reputable financial advisor, but his staff is equally skilled. His upright character and masterful communication skills builds trust that has translated to $$$ for our family. My husband works for a very demanding international corporation that is draining his energy and "life" (as he puts it). We stay only for the health insurance. Joe helped us to find a solution and plan for an early retirement that will probably save my husband years of strife. Although my husband is 60 and still working, he is able to work knowing what to expect when he retires early, and now has the confidence to do so with the help of Joe. He also facilitated our relatively new marriage to transition from separate, non-disclosed, finances to transparency and merging our financial goals not only for our financial future but for a healthy marriage. And finally, not only did Joe increase our portfolio by several thousands of dollars but he did it by listening to our needs and wants and dreams, and partnering with us to build a solid financial future for our family. I have recommended Joe to many friends and family and he has exceeded all expectations.

From the start, Kyle was thorough and patient. He walked me through transferring all of my existing funds, helped me establish clear savings goals, and gave me concrete, actionable guidance I could actually act on. What impressed me most was his timing: all of this unfolded during a period of significant personal transition for me, and he handled every step with professionalism and calm. The results have spoken for themselves. My portfolio has reached record highs, and for the first time, I genuinely feel in control of my financial future. If you're looking for an advisor who is competent and steady under pressure, I can't recommend Kyle highly enough!

I've pretty much exhausted my ability to manage my retirement account now that it's entered…read more"Antihistamine money" territory (It's nothing to sneeze at) so I thought it would be a good idea to hire a fee-for-service fiduciary to look over my multiple accounts and give me some advice. Which ones do I combine? Am I investing too aggressively or not enough? What the heck is this fund? Nick Licouris did a fantastic job - we met twice, and he mapped out a detailed roadmap for me to get my financial house in order over the next few years, explaining everything in plain English anyone could understand. He confirmed I was headed in the right direction, but also pointed out a few things I was unaware of. He also correctly predicted how many hours it would take, so the cost was no surprise. I am very, VERY pleased with the results and I've recommended him to others and will probably hire him again, once I've executed the plan.

For years, our experience with America's Christian Credit Union was largely uneventful. We used…read morethem for most of our banking needs, and my mother-in-law has maintained a HELOC through them. As basic banking customers, we rarely needed special assistance and had no major complaints. That changed when we needed historical HELOC statements for a legal matter. We first visited a branch in person and were told there was nothing they could do at that time, but that someone would contact us by phone. That call never came. After following up ourselves, we were informed that obtaining the statements would cost $10 per statement plus an hourly research fee. We were also told that the statements had already been emailed monthly over the years, with the implication that we should have maintained our own records. While that may be a reasonable expectation for some customers, my mother-in-law is elderly, and many people rely on their financial institution to help access historical records when needed. That's one of the reasons people choose to bank with established financial institutions in the first place. For a HELOC that has existed for roughly five years, the quoted fees could have easily exceeded $600 before any hourly charges were added. To put that into perspective, Wells Fargo was able to provide years of archived statements in about 30 minutes at no charge. After expressing our concerns, we were eventually told they likely would not charge us after all. However, we only received approximately two years of statements, leaving the original issue unresolved. What disappoints me most is not the fee itself, but the lack of customer service and willingness to help. Between the missed follow-up, the inconsistent information, the excessive fees initially quoted, and the incomplete records provided, the experience fell far below what I would expect from a financial institution that promotes trust and customer care. If you never need anything beyond basic banking, you may never encounter these issues. However, if you ever need historical records, assistance with an older account, or support during an important legal or financial matter, be prepared for a very different experience than what you might expect.
