Not sure if Sam is still practicing- he seemed to know his business, but after losing a significant sum of money for us on a bad investment (ended up being a real estate ponzi scheme) he left the country and went to Mexico- Not making any part of this up- and we could not get ahold of him. We have a new advisor now- finally someone from his "office" called us but it was a really bad experience overall. read more

Met Sam at a WLA class on social security Medicare. I was very impressed by his knowledge so my husband and I booked an (free) appointment with him for retirement advice. We had been talking to 2 other advisors also, but Sam really got into the numbers and walked us through it all We have met with him quarterly, and each time I come away feeling so much better about the life changes we are making. Thanks Sam! read more

Sam is young, smart, and an amazing resource. Just finished a retirement planning and information session with him. He was able to provide a broad overview of retirement planning (401k, 403b, IRA, etc.) and provide retirement advice that was easy to understand and easier to implement. The session began with him asking very specific questions about my finances including yearly income, existing savings amounts, short and long terms savings goals. The purpose of these questions was so that he could tailer his advice around my individual needs. He even put his example on his window glass. Although it may be difficult to undetstand, Sam was able to make learning about retirement savings easy. I will begin implementing his advice tonight. This review may not do justice to his advice, but if you're in need of retirement planning you will be pleased with Sam's services. read more

Samuel Rad - Although this may look complicated Sam made it easy to follow. - Financial Advising Near Me - Beverly Hills, California

I was really impressed by Samuel. He's extremely knowledgeable and very good at clarifying financial issues which would otherwise seem like Chinese to me, a novelist. I have met with other financial advisors in the past and truly disliked them. I came away from this with a sense of clarity and ease about the right direction to go. He's very personable and never makes you feel like you are too dumb to understand anything. I really would recommend him to anyone. Honestly. We are officially his clients now after we were both extremely impressed by his great advice, kindness and insightfulness. read more

Being a doctor, my investments are the last thing that I think about. Like many other people I want to be responsible and smart about money but I don't always have the time or resources. Samuel Rad helped me with my 401K rollover and retirement planning without it being stressful and painful. I realized that he especially understands financial planning concepts that are unique to me as a woman. Highly recommended. read more

I had an in depth meeting with Sam Rad yesterday and I feel compelled to write a review to reflect my experience. With regards to seeking advice from a financial advisor, the most important aspect to me is trust. I have found that Sam is someone that has a very high level of trust and truly cares about helping other people. I had been scheduling meetings and doing research; Sam was the first to respond and he always held himself to a very high level of professionalism. I, myself, am a CPA, and I found that Sam was very knowledgeable. I look forward to working with Sam because I truly believe that Sam puts his clients' needs first, giving honest, insightful, advice in a manner that is easy understood by someone that does not have a degree in finance. Thank you, Sam. read more

There is no doubt in my mind that Samuel knows what he's talking about as far as money. And I really appreciated his offering a deal of $49 for two whole appointments (his regular rate is $300/hr), and his offering an intro lecture and dinner at Ruth's Chris. I was really looking forward to the appointments...which sadly, never took place. We never even made it to Appointment #1, which was supposed to take place with one of his junior associates, not Sam himself. No problem; my financial picture is not super complicated right now so I was cool with that. The appointment rescheduled FOUR times, until finally cancelled altogether and they refunded the $49. I know the world is being overrun by Covid-19 but c'mon, we do Zoom meetings at least twice weekly at my particular workplace and the appointments were originally scheduled on Zoom (or one of those other virtual conference platforms). Very surprised that Samuel and his team couldn't even do that much. I guess they weren't up to the task. Oh well. I guess maybe if they come back sometime, I wouldn't be opposed to meeting with them if they can give me the same deal as a second opinion is always good. In the meantime though, I will be finding another financial advisor. read more

I hired Samuel Rad as my Certified Financial Planner in Beverly Hills to do a 401k rollover. I have been with many financial advisors and financial planners in the past but Sam is truly unique.  I met Sam at a financial seminar he gave and was really impressed at his knowledge and his way of looking at things.  I enjoyed how he actually had my "back" rather than his firms. Unlike most advisors I've seen, he was truly interested in my financial success.  I would refer him to friends for sure. read more

There is no doubt the guy has a great pitch. He does a very good general summary of financial products and folksy anecdotes that subtly includes pitches for complex insurance-related financial products. That's why he's got so many great reviews. The bottom line is, we came in with very specific goals and tasks and instead of working on that, pitches us insurance-related products and sub-prime lending pools. He's very amiable, very likeable guy with his photos taken with celebrities in the digital photo frame on his desk. Maybe he helps others and doesn't pitch insurance products to them, but, definitely did not help us. Super sketchy. read more

After reading Sam's excellent reviews on Yelp, I decided to make an appointment with him. I had been wanting to accomplish this list of things for a while, but had no idea where to begin: *Rollover to Traditional IRA *Set up Roth IRA *Explanation of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CD's *Savings plan for purchasing a home Sam got straight to work with me and explained all of these things in a manner in which I could understand. He broke down my financial situation and helped me find a smart way to allocate into each of these categories. At no point did he ever try to sell me on a specific service or product. I left my consultation with Sam with a well defined list of objectives to complete in order to reach my goals. I soon realized that this list was not accurate and that I would not be able to contribute $5,500 in both Roth and Traditional IRA each year. I can legally contribute this amount between the two but not into both. My savings would accrue in exactly half the time, which simply would not work. Sam became much less available and less helpful when he had less to gain by assisting me. I'm not upset, as this is the world we live in. I am scheduled to consult with a Gerber financial planner, which also had great Yelp reviews. I will review them after my consult. read more

First impressions are important! Our first impression of Sam Rad is that he is professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. My husband and I came to him looking for financial advice regarding an inheritance, investments, and real estate. We left with not only sound guidance but also a feeling of reassurance, trust, and empowerment with our financial options. He spent plenty of time with us and answered all our questions. We are grateful to have found someone who is both experienced and well regarded in his industry. I have been working with Sam for a few years now. I rolled over my 401K when I left a previous employer. I trust him completely, which isn't how I feel about most others. read more

Never having dealt with a financial planner, I had some anxiety about meeting with one. I was concerned whether or not the advice I received would have a self-serving, used-car salesman agenda (gotta make those sales!). Luckily my anxiety was ill-founded. The 5 star reviews for Sam are completely justified. He is exactly what you want in a financial advisor: patient, knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. He asks the important questions to determine your future needs/goals and then "reverse engineers" to give sound suggestions on taking action toward those goals. It's very apparent that his first priority is to understand and serve his clients' needs rather than sacrifice trust and push products that aren't the most appropriate choice. His experience as a teacher at UCLA extension definitely shows. He deftly explains concepts in a simple, straightforward manner without making you feel ignorant... even if you suspect you are. I look forward to growing prosperity with Mr. Rad, a befitting name! read more

Sam is amazing! I do some business consulting and stock trading so I was not sure that a financial advisor could really help me or teach me things I did not already know. Have been looking for a good financial advisor that is less focused on selling you funds that make them money and more on helping make the right decisions with my money regardless of their profits. Sam fits this perfectly. He let me take as much time as needed to get all my questions answered. I left feeling like I knew how to put my best foot forward in the coming months and have my money work as hard for me as possible. I will certainly be going back again to get more insight as things change and look into using him to invest my money with as well. read more

My husband and I met with Sam last week to go over our finances and to discuss our future goals. We found the session to be incredibly helpful. Sam was patient, honest and professional. He understands our needs, is very hands-on and believes in 100% transparency. These are traits we believe are very important in a financial planner. I think what really sets him apart is that he sees the importance of educating his clients every step of the way, rather than taking over the entire portfolio and leaving them in the dark. I would highly recommend working with him. read more

I attended a Social Security benefits class that Sam taught (thru El Camino Community Education). How lucky to have someone so knowledgeable and successful in his field come down & share his expertise with us! I took him up on his offer to the students of a 1-hour consultation in his Beverly Hills office. Altho I know my financial picture is on the "small potatoes" side next to most of the clients that are served at that company, Sam made me feel every bit as important as those with large estates and investment portfolios. We discussed a difficult family illness situation I'm going through and unlike many others who advise me to only look after myself (I'm at retirement age), he urged me to do what I know is right, and that is to help family first while being more sensible about my financial picture. Sam must know that no matter how small one's bank account & holdings may be, one never knows if that client will someday acquire significantly more $ to manage. He's a CFP which takes 2 more years of study than to attain CPA status. I feel blessed to have met him, and hope to employ his services as needed in the future.
