I had them come and measure and was given a written estimate. I went to Couch Potato with checkbook in hand to finalize the job. When I got there I was told there was a mistake on the estimate and it would be an additional 700$. They would not honor the original estimate. They did offer me 10% off the price which then made it only 500$ over the original estimate. So the they told me they could give me cheaper carpet. What? I had asked for the cheapest carpet in the first place and was not given it. I found out the carpet they showed me the first time was a close out that they wanted to get rid of but it was not what I asked for. I told my realtor what was occurring since they are recommending them to their clients. My realtor called Couch Potato to see what they had to say and they told her that I did not like the cheapest carpet samples they showed me and I CHOOSE a more more expensive one which was an out right lie. Then Couch Potato proceeded to tell her that they could offer us even cheaper carpet. Wait I asked for the cheapest carpet the very first time I went there. Shady!!!!

I told them that my main priority was getting my carpet in as soon as possible, and they did what they needed to to accomplish that for me. They scheduled an estimate within 24hrs of my call. When Tom came to measure, he ensured to bring in carpet samples that they had in stock at all times so that we wouldn't have to wait for ordering of materials. He helped me choose an affordable option that accounted for my needs at home. Their padding is also higher quality than what home depot was offering. Couch Potato's pricing was so nicely simplified. Each price included the price for the carpet, padding, and installation together. Whereas elsewhere, they price all 3 separately. They asked for a deposit of half the cost before they provided the service, then the rest of the payment afterwards. Couch Potato was able to schedule my installation within 3 days. The day of installation, the gentlemen were respectful of my home and made sure to ask questions to verify what I would need. They cleaned up afterwards and called Heather prior to leaving to allow me to talk to her and verify her employees performed an adequate job. I could not be happier with the result and the customer service I received.

He worked with us to help find the cheapest possible price. He went to flooring suppliers with us to help choose the best flooring and related supplies for our needs. He then charged us $1.50 per square foot for labor. Reflooring 550 sqft for our home cost us around $2,000 for labor and supplies. He and his partner were respectful to our home and asked questions along the way to ensure we received exactly the service that we needed. Our home looks amazing, he hit every little bit that we didn't even consider needed replaced to make it look as perfect as possible. (Owner) to reply to my post & I did exactly as he suggested. I responded to the e-mail address he provided copying the General Manager and asking he be provided a copy as well. I outlined the 9 times I contacted Stronghold since April 1,2024 asking for a quote & appointment to repair my floor. I even provided my contact info and my Stronghold identifier SR-CSR-374 so they can locate my service request. Now 12 days later since my last request, still no response. I was really hopeful I would hear from somebody. I guess I was right, business is just too good; they either don't have time or don't care to address repairs. I'm truly disappointed as I've recommended them on numerous occasions, handing out their business cards to several prospective customers.

He actually gave a pretty reasonable quote with out apron wall. My issue is he told me that they don't really do apron walls and he discouraged me against them. My apron walls were pretty standard at about 8 incs. So I decided to call a competitor for a quote with the stem wall included and i mentioned to him that i've got a quotes and the company said they wouldn't do them. He assured me that they would do them and asked if the company was stronghold? The competitor said he had two other clients that went with his company because stronghold refused to do the apron walls. Just seems to me that a company that is so well established would offer this service, and want to please the customer. I also think it is worth wild to note that 3 possible clients will go with competitors because Steve doesn't want to do the apron walls, doesn't seem like it worth loosing business over. I also gave Steve a call back to ask about including the apron walls. Part of me wanted to give him a chance before i wrote this review. I asked if i prep them would they do them and he said he would have to add square footage on the job, but again tried to talk me out of it and told me other businesses would do it for me with out any problems. I said i will take my business to another company and he said fine. Sounds to me like he didn't care about my business or the companies reputation. My suggestion is to go with a company that will give you the service that they offer and you want to pay for, and not what STEVE wants.
