While he was applying the product, he encouraged me to raise my hand if I needed him to stop for any reason. That lack of a final check-in or conversation makes me feel like my experience and outcome weren't really considered, especially after such a long and expensive process. On top of that, I spent an additional $900 on retainers that may not even be useful if I move forward with further treatment elsewhere to achieve the results I was originally hoping for. I'm not confident there will be any reimbursement or acknowledgment of these concerns. From my perspective, it feels like once payment is made and treatment is completed, there isn't much recourse available, even when a patient is still unhappy with the outcome. I'm left feeling disappointed and frustrated with the overall experience and financial impact. I also feel that Invisalign may not have been the most suitable option for me. I had initially suggested braces, but was guided toward Invisalign with the reassurance that it would be effective, though I believe braces might have delivered a more cost-effective and better outcome. I needed 2 sets of refinement trays because my aligners were not fitting properly, and my brackets repeatedly fell off during treatment. In hindsight, these issues should have prompted a reassessment of whether Invisalign was the right option for me. Instead, treatment continued despite ongoing signs that it was not progressing as expected. As a result, I now feel I may need to invest additional time and money to correct the original concerns I sought treatment for.
