I tend to have a high pain tolerance and my go-to method of hair removal was brazilian wax and tweezing for underarms. The laser they use here apparently is one of the newest tech out. It doesn't hurt at all. Sara did a great job on constantly asking if I was doing okay and adjusting the laser intensity accordingly to my tolerance. Even when I was on my monthly cycle, Sara did a great job making me feel comfortable and working efficiently. (Just make sure you wear a tampon and take a shower before your appointment) The staff here does an amazing job at picking up their phones. They use online booking system to track appointments, sending forms you need to fill out before each session and processing payment. If you need to reschedule or want to come in earlier, they do a great job about being flexible and fitting you in. For underarms + brazilian laser hair removal, it always takes about 15-20min. They keep the facility very clean and very private. I have light skin tone with black hair so the laser was VERY EFFECTIVE on me. even after 1 session I had 80% reduction in hair growth! *If you have dark skin and dark hair or light skin and light colored hair the laser may not work so well on you bc the laser is shooting at PIGMENT so just keep that in mind before considering laser treatment!!! *

I moved to San Antonio, Texas from San Jose, California without any knowledge of the available waxing facilities in my new neighborhood. I searched for places close by and found a couple of facilities I would try out. I found We Wax to be the most suited to my taste (I can be picky). I was fortunate enough to get Linda as my esthetician the first time I had an appointment. She was very professional and listened to what I wanted. She also was very knowledgable and fixed an eyebrow shaping issue I had been living with since my last esthetician. Linda is awesome; she will always give you what you want and let you know what works best for you. However, I do wish the hard wax that We Wax buys was of higher quality. It isn't as good as the wax my last spa used, which meant fewer wax strips & nearly, no plucking afterwards. Thankfully, I found an esthetician at a place that is comfortable, professional and close to my house. read more

I was running late trying to find a place to take me in for a last minute fix up before a big 15 year anniversary date and so I googled wax places in San Antonio and found We Wax which just happened to be very close to where I work. Even though it was late Friday they were able to take me in - gave me a 10% discount for being a first time customer and did a great job. There was more plucking than I'd like - Brazilians hurt as it is so when you add plucking - it's just really no fun. But all in all I thought my brows were shaped nicely and the Brazilian - well those just hurt no matter what but I was happy she used hard wax in that area. Linda was great and I'd definitely go back to see her. The one thing I didn't love was that the walls didn't reach the top so you could hear other people and they could hear you but all in all I was a happy customer and will definitely be back. read more

I had a great first experience here. It's always a little awkward going to a new establishment, no matter how long you've been getting waxed. They were very professional but very personable at the same time. And the price was reasonable, cheaper than many other places I researched. My only change to the experience would be to just use the same wax for the entire process. They used a more "gentle" wax for the more sensitive areas, but I would rather have several small patches done in succession than one large one at once. I appreciate the intent, though it was a bit uncomfortable. I will definitely be returning though. read more

As an academic professional I always have to look my best. I had tried several places for eye lash extensions and paid good money (they did not last but a couple of days). This is the FIRST PLACE that did an amazing job & the lashes lasted 2+ weeks!!! This place is very clean and VERY affordable. I will continue going back and will continue to spread the word!
