Carmen absolutely has no people skills or maybe it's just because I don't speak Spanish. She sells a good product until you pay her and then she's very very nonchalant and aloof doesn't care about returning calls or trying to correct problems or mistakes she might've made. I filed for divorce years ago, I payed about $500 both me and my husband signed and never have been declared as divorced. I've emailed, called, and I never get through. Once they have your money, there's no follow up. I have emails I can show, where I've reached out with no response from Carmen from we the people. I filed in 2021 by the way. I recently needed a notary and We The People was quick to help last minute! I called on a Thursday around 5:00 and was able to get over within 30 minutes. We were immediately helped and got in and out within 15 minutes. They have a great location right on State Street and their notary helping us was so friendly. Months have passed and no updates, or returned phone calls. Yet being here phone has been answered multiple times. Very unprofessional. Do not trust your legal matters to this person. *Update Once questioned she took a few minutes to explain and offered to request files needed, as the courts may take a while. We opted to request ourselves at the court and received within minutes for $1. It's frustrating to see how my family member was taken advantage of. If you still decide to go with this office make sure everything is explained thoroughly and know they are NOT a law office. THE WORST EVER!!! Filed my case in June with Carmen. For two months she would not return my many emails or phone calls to see if my case had a date. I live in Florida and she knew that. I was visiting the area in August and walked in because she would not get back to me. You would of thought she saw a ghost. My case was never filed and she blamed the court. This is after I paid her in June all the legal fees. She is never answers the phone or follows up with you! She takes your money and you will never hear from her again. That three month delay cost me $3200 in back child support I could of gotten. SHE SUCKS! I never write reviews but want to help others from being taken by her. read more

Carmen took almost $1000 off me on the 20th of November 2020. Since that date she has not returned any of my phone calls or emails. When I call she says she is putting me on hold and hangs up on me. It is now almost 6 months later and I have not received any paperwork or my money back. 2022 walked in. Carmen was curt and hostile upon my 1st encounter. I did not have an appointment. She was extremly aggitated I entered her open door. During my return of my scheduled appointment she made a copy of my Living Trust to keep before we had an agreement. I hired we the people for my divorce, they made it very clear from the start that it wasn't representation just help with paperwork. They gave us a court date and advised us not to go because it wasn't needed, we didn't show up and a few months later I got a notice that our Divorce was vacated. I called the court to find out what was going on and they said they never filled out two of the last packets to make things official but were so easy to ask for payment. They tried to tell me that their office had issues and they had to move, but they completely abandoned my paperwork before all that. It's been over a year, several phone calls and now I'm left without a clue. I hope they would reach out to return my money or at-least help with the paperwork they promised. If you need help with divorce I advise you to hire a real lawyer. Also since they're not real lawyers don't listen when they tell you not to show up to a hearing. read more

I want to give advice to those of you who might find yourselves in my shoes. I went to We the People because I thought I could save money and I also thought I was going to have an amicable divorce. I have children as well. Do not use We the People if you have children. My first mistake. I strongly suggest that you be smarter than I was. Do not use We the People unless you know for a fact that your divorce will be 100% amicable and peaceful. I thought mine would be but I underestimated the situation. However, I would also advise against using them for one other reason. When I would be called that paperwork was ready I would go pick it up and notice that other people's names were on the papers. Where it should have been my name or my ex's, it was some other people. I believe they use a template and when they don't take out other people's names, it can be frustrating. If those papers are submitted to a court with other people's names, you're going to have a major problem on your hands later. Spend the money on a real attorney and don't bother doing divorces there. You will save a lot of headaches. You're welcome. The best advice the woman there could have given me was to have an attorney do the real work. I wish she would have given it to me. I wasted two years trying to muddle through that place and the paperwork. read more

It seems like a really helpful place that will make difficult and stressful events easier. But, they have constant difficulty with documents and they seem to have to be re-done or they incorrectly file things. Even with just that diffiuclty, it is very difficult to get ahold of them for answers or information regarding your situation once you begin with them. They don't consistently answer the phone. They don't return your messages. Usually when they answer, they will put you on hold, then come back and ask you to call back when they have a chance to obtain the information that is missing. When you call back, you are sent to voicemail and then they don't return your call. If you can't afford more, then it probably will do. But, it won't be easy and it adds to the stress. read more
