Other attorney/courier services I contacted who appear to be just a few blocks from the Santa Barbara Superior Courthouse, are actually located elsewhere and have a runner go to the Santa Barbara courthouse each day. This results in unreasonably early deadlines and a lack of flexibility. CCPS is different--and they get the job done quickly and correctly! I have been using Commercial Process Serving since approximately 2004 for all my process serving needs as well as court filings and complicated "locates". The folks there are all family and treat their customers like part of their family. They communicate regularly and often and always respond to emails, and most importantly, they answer their phones or return messages left within a very short period. Their accounting department is prompt and accurate and takes care of business. I am impressed with their technology which allows me to place orders and upload documents from the comfort of my own desk. All the information for each case is stored so I don't have to re-enter it or fill out forms over and over. This is an excellent development. Finally, their prices are fair and competitive. I don't worry about that, however, because for what they do for me as a solo practitioner, whatever they charge is very worth it. While technology is great, it is their personal support I appreciate most. On a number of occasions, they have caught my mistakes, corrected them, told me about it, and simply took care of things. I am grateful for their support. I am not a big litigation firm and have limited resources. These guys make it possible for me to get the job done.
