Afaf makes no effort to keep me up to date. There have been missed multiple promised deadlines with no explanation. These delays have prevented progress in finalizing my conservatorship and I am unable to properly advocate for my conservatee. I still have not received the documents I have been waiting on. I paid We The People to handle this, but after long delays, it appears I may never get what I need. Back in May 2025, I had to file some of the court papers myself, spending extra time, money, and effort. Afaf would not issue a partial refund to cover the court fees and other costs I had to pay. Looking at the other reviews, specifically the one from Chris L. on 11/11/23, it didn't surprise me at all. From my experience, I do not believe this was a fake review or one left by a competitor. I really tried giving Afaf the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately I do not find her to be trustworthy and professional. read more

i used w.t.p. a few years ago for a straightforward divorce. was relatively easy, although at one point i asked for a mistake on the documents to be corrected, & the woman kept saying "document changes $35 charge", & i would respond "this isn't a change it is a correction of a mistake made by you". well it went back & forth a couple of times, but she finally conceded. around $550 for the service including court filing fees. [ this was in 2017.] would recommend for simple procedures. read more

Dealing with these people was a horrible experience. What was supposed to only be a 2 month process took 5 months and that is only because I called them asking what was taking so long. I met my ex husband at the office of We The People in Pasadena to finalize some of our divorce/pension paperwork. That day was about 105 degrees, miserable hot. When I walked into the office I was melting, no one offered me a drink or even greeted me. There were only 2 people there in the office at that time. My ex husband was already present. Afaf asked us to take a seat as she opened her notary book and presented us with the court documents that needed to be signed. I had not seen any of this paperwork yet that my ex had filed. As I started glancing through the paperwork I saw a term that I was not familiar with. I asked her if she could explain that paragraph to me. She stated, "I dont work for you! I work for him!" Even my ex looked at her in disbelief regarding how rude she was being. As a matter of fact, my ex and I paid 50-50 for these services. He then asked if she could explain that paragraph to the both of us because he did not understand it either. All of a sudden she slams her book closed and stands up stating " I dont have time for this! You should have read through this weeks ago!" Afaf turns to my ex husband and states, "You said she was just going to sign the papers and this was going to be quick!" My ex and I looked at each other in disbelief. My ex urged me on, "just sign it. Its all in there and everything is correct." I was so drained emotionally and physically at that point, I signed the papers and left. I was literally in their office less than 20 minutes. I have never been treated so rudely before and was flabbergasted and upset. I was also disappointed at myself for not saying anything to her regarding her utter rudeness and how she treated me. I was already very emotional since this was our finalization of our divorce. I am a nurse therefore I understand compassion for what people are going through, but this woman seemed so clueless and heartless to peoples situations. BUT I got the last laugh. There was ONE good thing about what happened in their office. The next week my ex called me crying. He said that he took his paperwork in to be filed with his pension when the gentleman that was helping him, pointed out that the paperwork stated that I was getting an additional 50-60k from his pension according to the paperwork that We The People filed. My ex stated that, had Afaf explained that to us when we asked her to, we would have caught that mistake that was made. I told him that maybe he should sue We The People for the expensive mistake they made. I still laugh about it to this day... all the way to the bank! Thanks We The People! read more

I went into their office for a grant deed transfer service but the next day I called them to canceled it. I went in the office again to sign all the paper work and they told me they will refund the money back to me. It has been over a month but the fee has never Refunded back to my credit card. I called them a couple times and they kept on telling me to wait but no money has been refund. After I posted the review, the manager called and took care of the refund immediately. Had came to this establishment for divorce papers but the coronavirus hit and i was not able financially to go through a divorce so i asked for a refund and i scheduled an appointment to get refunded. I walked in after hitting my vape and i had a slight cough then the lady told me that only 1 customer at a time so i asked ill wait outside then. Mind you i have a noish approved N95 mask on just as a precaution for everyone. The customer infront coughed a bit and he didnt get kicked out... So then i waited outside in the cold cause it rained earlier and it was about to rain again after 30minutes i told the lady ill come in sign and leave she pointed at me all angry and said no you'll not come in and came up with another bs excuse even though she said and i followed all her instructions and even waited 30minutes outside in the cold.. Goes to show these employees have not had proper training and are not well educated plus a bit of racism cause Im asian i got kicked out but the hispanic guy didn't. FYI because the employees probably will read this review that the N95 mask protects others from myself not the other way around so there was no need for the scare anyways. And if the employees cant even comprehend this simple common knowledge how would anyone expect them to be able to prepare legal god dang documents amen. Lastly if they were so scared of the virus they should do some research, asymptomatic people are as infectious as people with symptoms. Walked in on a Friday morning needing a notarized document. I was greeted by a man at the front desk and was told to sign in. There was no one else there at that time. I didn't wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. The price here is reasonable. It was $15 for one notorized document. Same price you would pay at UPS or other places. read more

Feeling very jaded. I would not recommend this place. There's follow up with their clients on pending cases. I have lots to say and I would hate to think this company takes advantage of poor minority folks. My husband got deathly sick. I had postponed the divorce. He thankfully got better and now I'm trying to proceed with the divorce. I wasn't told that the index card expired within 120 days or I would of asked for a refund. I was told that "It was no problem to put it on hold". My question is " If it was put on hold, what index card did you send out?" We did the paperwork on a Friday and by the next Tuesday he was hospitalized. If the paperwork was processed and they received an index card was I not called to say we are at the next step? You know why - they got their money. It was no sweat off their back. I think a protest may be need! read more

I don't think I've been more hassled before. I came here to get a document notarized and they did not accept a foreign passport as ID. It's good enough for the TSA but not these people! What am I supposed to do, go to the CA DMV and wait weeks for a photo ID to come in the mail? I went to another place and the guy had no problem with a passport. read more

UPDATE 11/7: I've updated my review to 3 stars because the general manager AR contacted me today apologizing for his employee's rude behavior. He also offered to refund half of my fees, which was unexpected and appreciated. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews of anything--positive or negative, so it means something that I'm posting here. I'm using this office to help with my divorce because I can't do it on my own, and I can't afford a lawyer. The first few interactions were fine, but then I had some questions on some of the paperwork they typed up. I sent them the questions by email because I have almost no time to call during business hours. They ignored my questions and told me to make the corrections on the paper and fax it to them. Since they didn't answer my questions, I wrote them on the paper also. I was told to call on my way home so they could clarify my corrections. Fine, no problem. I call, and as soon as Afaf answered the phone, she spoke to me so rudely I couldn't believe it. I had to remind her that I was the customer, so she shouldn't be yelling at me. Then, I went in to sign some papers today, and things were fine until she started in again about how I have to call or come in person-they can't spend their time emailing back and forth. What am I paying them for if they can't be bothered to answer emails? I tried explaining that my main reason for being upset was not even the email thing but that she was so rude when I called her. After all this, she never attempted to apologize, even after I had pointed out that fact. If I hadn't already paid them my $500, I wouldn't continue, but I'm stuck now! read more
