My wife and I had a great experience working on our will and trust with Justin, Sandy, and Isis. All three of them are extremely professional while also being kind, friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. Thinking about your own mortality can be heavy, and they're empathetic and have really useful advice. One aspect I really love is how clear and concise they make the process. When you start working together, they lay out a process outlining three meetings, clearly describe what will happen at each one, and tell you the eventual fee up front. (That fee was very reasonable, by the way.) I don't consider myself an organized person, but even I felt like I knew what was going on at every step of the process. It's easy to refer Justin. He's genuine, sensitive, and most of all -- he will tell you the truth! He'll give you options and choices. No sales pitch! EXPERIENCE: My SO used him, but since my situation was so small, he actually genuinely understood my financial standpoint and reminded me there is legalzoom too (online, cheaper option). He already asked me the questions I would need to understand anyways for filling a legalzoom form out instead. He said he wouldn't take it personal. So it was a free consultation for me. SUCH A KIND and COMPASSIONATE person! Why can't other industry law be like this?! FYI, Will questions are deeper than what I saw it to be.... example are Will questions about who you're leaving your stuff with other than your SO, like #2 or #3 options people: 1. Medical Responsibilities: Since my mother is more empathetic, I'll probably want her to have more rights than my brother in this case. 2. Financial Responsibilities: My brother is more rational and financially reasonable, so he'll be given more percentage in decision making for this situation. 3. Organ Donation: This could include your skin, your face, down to specific parts, etc. You can be particular about parts, and more. Even if you plan to be cremated, family and culture and such might play a factor such as giving the face away. Its a weird but woke conversation to discuss or think over. If you and your SO will be using Justin, he'll just need to make sure there isn't a conflict of interest. So a document will need to be signed...basically saying its okay he represents both sides. EASY TO REFER JUSTIN: We were referred by a colleague Marcus. We loved our experience and price. We referred Kay J. who was looking for a good estate lawyer. He had such a great experience, he raved about Justin in his review and reminded us to share out experience. Apparently, Jay had a number of bad experiences from other lawyers, and it was refreshing to finally find someone whom actually cared. FUTURE: Justin is definitely someone you want to grow with. A few weeks ago, my brother and I had a free consult with Justin. Both Justin & his assistant Sandy were very kind and super helpful! Justin took the time prior to the meeting to review documents I uploaded to their secure cloud site. Not only was he professional and knew his stuff, he went above and beyond for us by sharing options for possible approaches, even when he realized he wasn't able to take on the case because he doesn't do litigation. He referred us to his former colleagues at other firms that are litigators, and even printed some real estate title search documents for us at no charge. Many lawyers would've probably ended the meeting after seeing that the case is outside of their scope. So it's heartening and much appreciated that Justin took close to 1hr of his time to be of service and advise us, even if we're not able to hire him on for the case. On our way out, Sandy gave us extra validation vouchers for parking so that we don't have to pay the overage at the garage, having been there longer than 20-40 mins.
