I never write reviews. I don't like to speak badly about anyone. But I'm sitting here tonight not knowing what to do next, and I feel like I have to say something not out of anger, but out of heartbreak. Maybe it will help another mother avoid what I'm going through. I left my first attorney after he let me down in ways I still can't fully explain. He told me he did this work because of his own mother, a domestic violence survivor who had just passed away. I believed him. I trusted that story with my whole heart. And somehow, I still almost lost everything. When I met an attorney from this firm in the hallways of the Pasadena Courthouse, I thought maybe this was meant to be. She seemed kind. She seemed like she cared. I thought, this is the person who will make sure my children stay safe. I was so hopeful. On the day of my hearing, she was two hours late. I asked her several timesshould I be there? Should I go? She said no, she'd handle it by phone. Something in my gut told me to go anyway. I've learned to trust that feeling. But this time, I listened to my lawyer instead. I don't know how to describe what happened next except to say that everything I had given her every piece of evidence, every truth I asked her to present it's like none of it was there. It felt like she hadn't even looked at my file. She just started talking, and I could feel it all slipping away. The judge wouldn't hear me. He said I needed to appear in person. I was screaming, crying, begging for someone to listen. But my voice didn't matter. I am a single mother. I left a marriage that was destroying me. My ex-husband has been a lawyer for 24 years. I needed someone sharp, someone present, someone who would fight for me because I don't know how to fight this alone. This firm says they volunteer with domestic violence survivors. I believed that meant something. I honored that. I thought it meant they understood what's at stake when a mother is trying to keep her children safe. Maybe I was wrong to hope. I chose H Bui Law firm because, when I called to setup a consultation. I explained the situation i was in and the urgency that it ment to me. Valerie was able to get me threw to Hanna (sorry if I spelled it wrong). I spoke with her over the phone, explained the situation i was in, having to deal with a Restraining Order, Child custody and soon to be Divorce. I asked a bunch of questions. When I asked if I can setup a consultation, she replied this is your consultation. Short story: I can't say enough great things about Hannah and her team of attorneys. I have used this firm three times. For my initial divorce (2019), a modification for Spousal and Child Support (2022), and now I'm planning to have Hannah set up my trust. I am grateful for their professionalism, responsiveness, and empathy getting through my cases. You know you've got a great attorney when your ex-spouse even admits and says, "Your lawyer is really good!" Highly recommended!! Long story: As mentioned above, I initially went to Hannah in 2019 to represent me when I was served with a dissolution of marriage. Given the short window to respond to the petition, I went in a frantic search for an attorney. I visited/spoke to a few, and I knew Hannah was the attorney for me after she answered every question I had. She didn't give me sugarcoated answers and shared realistic expectations of what the divorce and child custody proceedings will entail. Hannah and her team got me 50/50 custody and more or less a fair deal for spousal and child support. From the beginning, Hannah was clear I was going to be paying spousal and child support being the breadwinner in the household. Fast forward to 2021/2022, I reached out to Hannah to represent me for a modification on spousal support. After discovery, Hannah and my assigned associate attorney Sara felt I had a strong case for getting not only spousal support modified, but also encouraged me to request modification of child support. After a lot of back and forth with declarations and even appearing before a judge, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I was given this number by US Legal Services contacted them on 8/3/21 for a phone consult on 8/9/21 spoke with an attorney that sounded annoyed and very vague when answering my questions I was told an email would be sent on 8/10. I checked the entire week and decided I would call back on 8/17 was told they would follow up and get back to me later that day. Of course that didn't happen had to call back on 8/18 to hear the secretary tell me the attorneys said they are busy have new cases and cant assist. WTF this is how you do business? What a waste of my time. Update: After leaving this review I received a call explaining the mishap with my call and request. The apology is big of them because most people don't apologize when wrong. I had a scheduled appointment only to get a call from one of their attorneys' administrative assistant to notify just 1 hour to tell me that they need to re-schedule because the attorney was out of the office. I was very disappointed by the explanation and lack of courtesy. UPDATE: The office manager called soon after and was very apologetic. And explained that the attorney had an ex parte that took much longer than expected which was why the administrative asst called to reschedule. He was very apologetic and explained the admin was new and the communication could have been better. All things said while it's unfortunate my appointment got cancelled on such short notice, I do appreciate the apology and explanation. Much more professional than the first call. read more

I wish I can give 0 star. I looked for Yelp review and decided to choose this firm for my case of divorce. Their service is expensive though but I want to trust them. Since I started the case I got many contacts from them several times a week and almost every week. I saw my bills charge increase a lot. I politely ask them to give me more time to work with my spouse, so we can solve the problem faster and simpler. They still contacted many time even though I requested politely no more work on the case several times. Then I decided to call them to put the case on pending and no need to contact me, so I have more time to work with my spouse. I still received the contacts from many attorney but all working only on one matters. I talked on the phone and asked for completely cut their service. They refused and asked me to send email. That is ok, this is law. Then I sent them email and got no response. I still got contact from them (email, call, voice message : all of these accounts for charge). I send another email and got no response and still receive contact. Then I sent email to one attorney, she called me with very bad attitude, she even did not want to listen to my talk, just cut my words and rudely hung up my phone even I was still talking to her. I told her about getting no response in the email. She said her firm did not receive any email before - That's total lie. Then later when I talked to her she said her firm got my email but it didn't state clear I want to dismiss the email. Then I sent the email again to dismiss the service and asked her to check and she still said no and said that the case still in active and hung up the phone, but I already sent the email. I am now really disappointed with their service. What they care is money that is they are very active contact you every week just to work only on one thing. But when you want to cut off the service, that is when they become "who they are" and do not care about you anymore even though you already paid a lot for their expensive service. I am really sad. I divorced with my husband, I spent money on their service and they treated me so bad in the end. Be careful and be smart when you choose the firm to work with your case. read more

Hannah Bui Law Firm is an inadequate organization with members without people skills, nor suitable expertise when it comes to creating Will and Trust. I stepped foot at H Bui Law Firm's office in June 2018 to have my Trust and Will updated into the state of CA after my relocation. The transaction was completed in February 2019. That is 7 months for only an update on the documents. I had to return to the office after 3 months to re-do the document because it was not properly drafted the first time. It was not until the document was signed when they informed me that additional cost is required for the records office. This was not revealed at the beginning. My take is either they did not know the process, did not know how to communicate the process, or they chose to forget explaining the full process to me from the beginning. Before I went on vacation, I requested that I should not be contacted. But a day into my trip, I received unnecessary phone calls that could have waited a couple of weeks. That ruined my day. I do not recommend their service, as it appears Will and Trust are not their office's main expertise nor their priority, and they do not treat clients well. The process was slow, as my case was placed into the back burner several times. There is little to zero emotional/social intelligence in that office. I felt disregarded. If you have urgency in your Will and Trust, don't engage in their business. You could die first before they get anything done. read more
