This is a really lovely bubble tea spot down in Vestal New York which is a lovely part of the world with the mountains on either side of the valley, and there are actually quite a few East Asian things around here, and some really great eateries and some surprisingly decent bubble tea places. The bubble tea here is good and would probably warrant a 4-star, but the reason it gets 5 stars is because the woman here is a total angel and one of the friendliest people I have gotten Boba from in a long time. read more

First of all, I have attempted to go to this place multiple times without ever finding it. But yesterday I decided I wasn't giving up. I parked got out of my car and walked around. I eventually found it on the backside of the businesses directly across from Panet Fitness's enterance. There were a ton of flavors ranging from black tea, to green tea, to juice tea. I went with Jasmine black tea. It was absolutely delicious. I think I'll try lavender next! They also serve sushi! I had the roll of the day which was tilapia. It was very good and came with a side of spicy Mayo which paired perfectly. Best of all the prices are great! $5 for a sushi roll! Really good bubble tea in various flavors, you can get either tapioca or multiple flavors of jelly (for no extra charge!). The tapioca is well made and soft. They also sell food items but I haven't tried them yet. The lady who works there is very nice and accommodated my orders (I needed bubble teas with no ice since I was fasting for Ramadan and didn't want the ice to melt into it over the hours and she accommodated that every time without a problem). I enjoy an occasional bubble tea. When I do, I usualy visit KK's teahouse. They tend to be expensive, but are usually pretty good with bubble teas, even willing to make it a bit stronger. When I heard there was a bubble tea place a lot cheaper than here, I wanted to go. As seeing some great reviews about We Tea (with the same amount of stars for lesser reviews in fact), I expected it to be the case. However, all I got was a bland tasting bubble tea. What was even more disappointing was when I said this was too bland and wanted it to be stronger in flavor, they were visibly annoyed as they told me they don't know how to make it "stronger". Well guess what- your competition does it for me. In fact, this will be the last time I am going here- I will rather pay the extra few dollars and get a bubble tea that actually tastes decent, rather than get this. Went in for the first time. This was awful. Sushi had frozen salmon that she defrosted in the microve and it just got worse from there. I think her tapioca pearls are fresh made daily because if you come later in the day towards closing times, there would be no more tapioca left. I don't even understand how there is even low stars. I've been coming here for years, and every time I walk in she always remembers my order. She is super sweet and I am always happy with my tea. I have not tried the food as it's not for my taste, however I have never had a bad tea. I've tried k&k and they always mess up my tea and is extremely over priced and very powdery. So I'm a little wishy-washy on this place. If there was a half a star option I'd give it a 2.5. On the one hand, the food is quite tasty and the decor is very cute and modern. On the other hand, the food doesn't seem the be...the freshest, bubble tea is over-sweetened, and service is slow. So here's the 411. The Inari-zushi is a must have. They are little sweet tofu-pockets filled with rice topped with a choice of seaweed, sesame, carrots, eel, shrimp or caviar. Mmmmm, so nom. (But pst, you can totally make these yourself - get the tofu pockets and Wegmans, shh). The sushi rolls are good, not great, but certainly passable when you need a sushi fix. The appetizers (shrimp dumplings and such) are meh, not worth the price. I've also ordered the unagi rice box which is tasty BUT (big but - I come back to the not fresh here) they literally just take the eel out of the package and microwave it, which honestly, most places that serve eel do that, I just don't want to see it. But the worst part was that the fried egg that came with the dish was pre-cooked, so they microwaved that up too -_- (big -_-). So seeing that happen on two occasions really made me question....uh well everything they serve. And like I said before the bubble tea is a bit sweet for my taste but still tasty. Service is also a bit slow because generally there is only one or 2 people working at any given time (yes, that includes cooks and waiters). But they are so nice, ah tis a shame. read more

My coworker and I had stumbled across Wetea and decided to try it out for lunch today since we both enjoy sushi. Neither of us a big fan of Bubble Tea. I suppose if we were and had tried it, that might have been a redeeming factor. Overall we were very disappointed. The miso soup we had for starters was good, but there wasn't much else about the meal that was good. I was disappointed to learn the only beverages they had were teas. I'm not a big tea drinker, but had to settle on plain black tea so I'd have something to drink with lunch. I selected a spicy crab roll and the Philadelphia roll. Neither was fresh. The rice seemed stale, bordering somewhere between rubbery and hard. The seaweed was very difficult to chew and neither roll had much flavor. In the Philly roll all I could taste was the cream cheese. Hands down the worst sushi I have ever had. I wound up paying $15 for a lunch that I barely touched. A couple other negatives: 1) They only take cash or check. I personally never carry cash and prefer to use my credit card, but had to make a special trip to the nearby ATM. 2) The place is VERY small. My coworker and I sat at one of the four tables available. My advice? If you are a fan of Bubble Tea the place may be worth a try, but skip the food! read more

The bubble tea... ehhhh. It tastes like powdered tea to me (which it is), nothing all that special. I purchased the Thai Milk Tea. It isn't as strong as you are expecting Thai tea to taste. I have never ordered food here so I can only rate this based on their bubble tea, but We Tea's bubble tea is the best that you'll find in Binghamton. The tea is consistently good, the tapioca is always good, and the service is great. Whenever I go, it is usually just one lady working at the counter, but she's so nice and gets the tea out fast. There are tables and couches in the shop so there are plenty of places to sit. The store is a little hard to find but it's behind Tully's, right by Planet Fitness.
