I wasn't sure what to do, so I turned to Yelp to find someone to help me. After putting out a conversation looking for a handyman to help me fix this door jamb Chris at C&L was the first handyman to contact me. He was super helpful in offering prompt service and told me he could come out the following day. He gave me a really great quote, I thought it was too good to be true. After getting a few more quotes from other handymen I decided to go with Chris because he could get to me the soonest and he actually gave me the best price. Chris and his son arrived with a door jamb kit ready to rock n roll. Upon arrival they took some measurements and realized my door jamb was extra wide. They ran back to the hardware store and got the appropriate sized jamb. From the time they arrived, ran back to the store and completed the job it was just under 2 hours. These guys were awesome, quick and efficient. Chris's son did all the cutting and carpentry work on the new jamb while Chris cut out the old one and got it installed. They were also cool in letting me watch, I wanted to learn a little something because it seemed like a hard job but they did it with ease and Chris explained every step of the process along the way. In fact during the installation Chris explained why our door jamb broke, when the door was originally hung to the jamb the hinges weren't drilled into the stud but were drilled into the drywall. It was weak and only a matter of time. Once they were done the door jamb looked great. I was really blown away by their work. Before they left I showed Chris a couple other things I wanted to get done to my house and he gladly gave me a quote for the work. These gentlemen were fantastic and I WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE IN NEED OF HANDYMAN SERVICES! Thanks again fellas, I appreciate your help in my time of need. We will be in touch soon. -Turtle

When they were ready to leave they went back and said goodbye to my parents. Their courtesy made them stand out from the other potential vendors that did not even acknowledge my parents, who were the ones paying for the painting of their home. They also provided solutions to a problem we had, removal of old furniture and taking it to the dump. The solution to this problem made it easier to say yes to starting the work. We were looking to have the interior painting done quickly and they started right away. They moved furniture as needed, being careful with each item. I also appreciated the care they took to contain the paint fumes as much as possible and protect items with plastic and tarps. Painting a large home with an elderly couple living there is not an easy task, yet Kevin and his crew worked diligently to get the job done as quickly as possible. They were sensitive to our needs and adjusted the schedule as needed to accommodate. At the end of each day they said goodbye and thanked my parents and I for the work. These guys are polite, and friendly problem solvers who take pride in their work. I highly recommend them and we will be calling them again when we are ready to do the exterior painting of the home.
