My rental agency contracted O'brien Electric in Barstow Ca., to change my electrical outlets on Nov. 3, 2015. The electrician requested that the power be shut off, so we showed him to the electrical box outside. When he returned inside he asked where he should get started first and we took him into our bedroom. He then asked that we move the Television stand away from the outlet and we did, and he began doing his work and we went into my daughters room. Not long after maybe ten minutes we heard a loud crash. When i went to see what happened the first thing the electrician did was apologized to me. The tv stand was knocked over and the tv was between the stand and bed with glass on the floor.y wife asked what happened from my daughters room and I brought the Tv to her. She then asked the electrician to turn the power back on so that we could see if the screen was showing even though we could see cracks on the screen and he turned it back on. And my wife started crying and said one curse word about five times .The electrician immediately called his boss and stepped out side. My wife called my rental agency who contracted O'brien Electric. After that she stepped outside and asked to speak to his boss. He told her to be calm because thats what insurance is for. Shortly after that he arrived at our home and spoke with his electrician outside for a bit, and they knocked at the door and we let them in. He asked to see the Tv which I purchased in September 12 2015 and was delivered on Sep.15 2015 though Amazon.com. He took at least ten pictures of the box that I still had in a closet. And the 50 inch smart tv. Next he wrote his email address down and asked me to email him the purchase receipt. My wife my showed him the electronic receipt and asked him to physically put his email address in the phone and he did . He told her he would send the information to his insurance co. He stayed until all of the outlets where changed . He was walking around whistling carefree .My wife called our rental agecy to keep them informed and found thst email address given to them obrielec@yahoo.com differed from the email address he wrote down and manually put into my wifes phone Scotobrielec@yahoo.com. Six days later my wife contacted him to see what's the next step and he informed her that his insurance didnt cover the loss and he would be responsible and doesnt know what happened and he doesnt see himself paying out of pocket. The electrician who knocked the tv and stand over, was kind and apologized. His boss Scot O'brien was sly, very disrespectful, and unprofessional.I wouldn't use O'brien Electric ever again, the sole proprietor Scot O'brien is unprofessional. read more
