Everything from her black coral and gold rings to her gold marquise wedding ring.. as well as this very particular small batch floral braclet that my dad added and deleted details to for my mom's liking. Growing up I was always fascinated with how beautiful and sparkly this braclet was and I knew it was real diamonds, not a ton of diamonds but clusters throughout and to a little girl, that makes you feel like a princess. As I got older and had my first real heartbreak, my mom gave me the braclet and told me I deserve nice things and I'll meet a man one day who will make sure the jewkery he gives me is meant for me. I wore this braclet every day since and would receive compliments on it quite often.. probably not really because of the braclet but because of the confidence it gave me, the sentimental value. On a work trip well over 2 years ago in Texas this braclet was stolen from me. This trip to texas also contracted me to a stage 4 terminal illness that I am currently battling, I am going throw the University of Washington studies to try and beat this disease (I'm only 30 and am on the UNOS list to receive my life saving organ transplant next month). ANYWAYS, I never gave up searching for this braclet. Through Google AI Photo search id plug in screenshots of videos of me wearing the braclet in hopes one day the jerk who stole it from me would pawn it. The cost of Gold is up so that inclined me to run around search and for the first time in over 2 years, my braclet showed up! I contacted the store and explained my story to the owner, sent over all the proof I had and encouraged him to run a search himself to see he is the literal only person in possession of this braclet due to it being truly 1 of a kind. The owner could have said "tough luck, but it at asking price" and he would have had every right to do so considering I don't have a sku number or receipt, just my truth. The owner did what you would not expect someone who runs a Pawn Shop did, he is getting it back to me at break even for him. He could easily get probably 3x the cost of this from a stranger but the owner decided to believe me and do everything he can do to be fair. This owner, Sam is truly an example of a good human being. The shop was cluttered and unclean, setting a questionable tone. They tried to convince me that I needed to apply an additional 54% reduction on the 14-karat gold price, even though the spot price of $71 per gram was already adjusted for purity. This was just a tactic to lower their offer even more. They also lied about the weight of my gold, claiming I had only 9.7 grams when the reality was different. In contrast, Dublin Jewelers offered me a fair and honest price of $760 for the gold and an additional $105 for the gemstones, totaling $865. This stark difference highlighted how much Guy Edward's was trying to not just shortchange me but completely rip me off and take advantage of a potentially unknowing customer. They were not only undervaluing the gold but also ignoring the actual weight and the value of the gemstones. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I initially went in, I pretended not to know anything about the actual gold value. Once I mentioned the correct spot price, they looked surprised and tried to gaslight me one last time, but ultimately they gave up once it was clear that I knew exactly what was going on. The entire Family and Staff joined in on the dishonest tactics, collectively trying to gaslight me and push me into thinking the other shop made a miscalculation. It was a coordinated effort to rob me. Gold price is easy to see there should be no games played with the price they knew there is zero excuse for this even removing the value of stones they were trying to rob me as Dublin Jewelers offered me 760$ for gold ALONE comparing that to Guy Edward's offer of 404$ it's clear this wasn't just them offering a bad rate but them completely trying to take advantage of me and steal from me.
