Had issue with no AC or heat coming out of blowers for Volvo car. Local garage looked up how to fix but he informed it was too complicated for his shop. He reached out to a couple of locations, but it was a no for repair. Found location via Realini Auto Repair in Braintree. His garage said no to my car they but informed me of this location. Cheaper that going to the dealer and it's a repair that needs to be done by mechanics who work on Volvo's the shop said. Fixed this and a problem with fob not opening driver's side of car(key needed to open driver's door) However, website needs to updated. Site claims that at a cost, you can have a rental while car is being repaired. No more rentals. And they do service other makes and models. Gave the location name to my mechanic too in case he has other Volvo's that are too complicated to repair for his shop. read more

I've been taking my cars to WCS for 15 years and what I appreciate consistently is that Wally's team is able to diagnose the problem quickly and get the repair right the first time. They are absolute experts on Volvos but also work on many other makes and models. Volvos can be quirky, so utilizing a specialist is vital. If you have a classic Volvo this is the place to go, they are skilled at sourcing difficult-to-obtain parts and have dealt with all known model issues many times. They just as frequently work on the newest models as well. Also, when your repair is complete, it can be taken right to the inspection bay so you can get your Massachusetts sticker all in one trip. Saves a lot of hassle. WCS has many longtime customers and the same team of mechanics has been there for many years, so I think that says a lot about the consistent quality service it provides. read more

I recently recommended them to a family member who had issues with the Muffler on her Chevy Malibu .... they gave her a reasonable price ....gave her a ride home/picked her back up (she lives close to the shop) fixed the problem and then took 20% off because she was a first time customer. I was far from home & every alert and indicator went off; the wipers wouldn't stop wiping and the door locks weren't working. I was fortunate to pull off the highway kind of near this business. I was only "kind of near" and at the first autoshop I went in the guy stopped me before I could fully describe the problem to say "take it to WCS". The garage was full but they heard I was far from home and couldn't leave it. They got the car diagnosed, gave a ~quick fix and had the car back on the road in about an hour. They explained how they diagnosed, what they fixed and showed me how I can prevent the same issue in the future. Working in the exact same business as Wally does, I like to think that I know most of the tricks. I can see them coming a mile away. Overcharging, fudging the truth, selling things that aren't needed, etc. It sucks to admit, but these things happen. None of this has ever been pulled on me by WCS Automotive. I was referred to Wally through many people. I could see right away that he had built quite a name for himself. More so than any dealer in this area has. I was referred to WCS in the early 90's. I was a loyal Volvo guy and place more importance on a good mechanic than a good doctor. If you own a Volvo you'd be nuts to go anywhere else. he knows them so well, I'd call and start to describe a problem and he would know what it was before I could finish. I stop checking price a long time ago, his are the lowest. In 20 plus years I would say only Legal Seafood and WCS have never disappointed me. Lets face it, honesty is the only thing that matters with car repair and I would trust Wally with my kids. WCS is the best. They specialize in Volvos but they will work on any car. You will bring your car in there for an oil change - they check everything and let you know what may need work. They are honest and are not trying to get your money out of you. Before I bought my first car, I brought it to Wally to take a look and let me know if anything was wrong with it before I purchased. He gave me a list of things that I should ask the dealership to do before buying it, and they ended up doing everything. I have been taking my car (a Mazda) exclusively here for maintenance for the last year because they work quickly, are thorough, and are detailed yet use layman's terms in explaining what they fix or what needs to be done on the driver's end for the vehicle for proper vehicle health. Everyone who works here is great with people and passionate about the job. They charge a fair rate for the work they do, and often work out payment plans for expensive situations. I have never received my car back with new problems suddenly popping up after the old ones were fixed. The location is convenient, off of 139 where the Hanover/Rockland town line meet. There is a lot of parking available but it seems they're so popular that most of it is eaten up. They work by appointment or by walk-in - I would recommend calling ahead to ensure your car is back to you ASAP from the time you drop it off. read more

They are extremely knowledgeable, honest, courteous, affordable, and go the extra mile. I heard a high pitched noise in my car, that I brought to three different shops to identify - and none did so correctly. Here they identified it immediately, and were able to repair it on the spot, as well as another needed repair, within my budget. Never mind saving me the costs of potentially misdiagnosed repairs. I own my first used volvo, and am shocked at the repair costs. I had a computer module break and 2 friends suggested WCS automotive over a volvo dealer. They claimed service is better and prices are cheaper. I called and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and professionalism of the mechanic on the phone. I dropped off the car the next day and it was repaired the following day. When I picked up my car, I had to point out to the mechanic, who I later learned was the owner Wally, that I had never had such a pleasant experience at a repair shop. Everybody was polite and professional, the shop was neat and organized which is quite a task seeing the huge number of work bays they have. I thanked them, paid them a fairly large amount of money, ( far less than I would have had to pay volvo), and was on my way happy. I made it home about 5 miles fine. Leaving my house later that day, I made it about 1 mile before I experienced the same problem. I immediately called them to tell them, and they told me to bring it back as soon as I could. Well, like most of us I dont have the extra time to spare and I need my car so I had a dilemma as to when I could get back. Early the next day I got a call from Wally asking if I could get the car back that afternoon and he would send me off in a rental car. Wow, never asked for this attention but was overwhelmed by it.Well 5 days later Wally calls me and explains at length the steps he took. The problem I had was also discovered by him but then it diasppeared. He spent countless hours diagnosing it without being able to reproduce it. He took numerous modules out and cleaned all contacts, he checked all wiring, even drove it 170 miles test driving it to find any failure. His only explanation was a possible computer glitch where the computer took a couple cycles to recognize the new part. All this extra work and when I asked about cost I was shocked to learn it was ZERO. Ive only had the car back for 4 days but it seems to run like new. Hope to never see him again, but if I have to I know I'll get great honest service! read more

WCS Automotive replaced my heater core with factory installed Behr heater core in my 2000 Volvo on 9/27/2012 and I paid $632.23. I noticed the issue was never fully resolved and I took the car back to WCS. They told me the leak is not from heater core and changed expansion tank on 12/22/2014 and I paid $267.76. I took it to the Volvo dealer on 12/8/2017 and they told me the heater core is the issue and it is leaking and need to be replaced. I have driven about 35,000 miles since WCS replaced my heater core and I was told the life of heater core is about 10 -12 years. I called WCS on 12/8/2017 and they quoted me $780.00 to replace the heater core. Wally and his staff are friendly and smooth talkers. I would not recommend WCS Automotive to anyone based on the workmanship or quality of their work. read more

We've owned Volvo's for over 25 years and were in the market for another one that we wanted to purchase from Specialty Auto in Hanson, MA (I would totally recommend Bob at Specialty Auto). Anyway, we live about an hour+ away and wanted a good Volvo mechanic to check out the car. We found WCS Automotive and took the car to Wally to check before we bought it. They were extremely thorough and we were in and out in about 45 minutes. We loved the professionalism of everyone there, the shop was chock a block full of Volvo's and everything that needed to be done to the car was courteously and patiently explained. The waiting area is one of the most comfortable I've ever been in. I would love, love to have Wally service this car but driving an hour+ each way is a bit much. Maybe we can convince Wally to move closer to us (LOL). Whatever car you have, if you live anywhere near Wally's shop, take it there. read more
