Rent from here!! If you're looking for personalized and unparalleled service, this is the best place to get your Lake Powell rentals! Bill and his wife were so kind to me and my friends: upon arrival, our rentals were already loaded onto Bill's truck and they gave us a cooler, noodle floaters, and water-resistant pouches for our phones and speaker! We followed Bill's truck to the Marina at Antelope Canyon. He unloaded everything and we were on the water with no hassle at all. He gave us all the tips and directions that we needed to have a worry free time on the water. Renting kayaks and paddle boards are so worth it. You're able to go into small caves that jet skis and speed boats could never reach. And booking with Bill will make your experience even better!!

My friends and I were on a road trip that went though Page, AZ where we decided we wanted to kayak last minute through Antelope Canyon / Lake Powell. The sights were beautiful, but what really blew my group and I away was the hospitality and accommodations that we received from the owner, Bill Andrews, and his family! Bill genuinely wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed including hydration by giving water as well as checked to see that we had protection for our phones by offering us a Ziploc bag. He also had excellent communication to confirm everything before we arrived. They were very friendly and wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible with the little time that we had to spend kayaking, which was only about an hour and a half unfortunately. Bill made suggestions for us on where to go kayaking, if not through Antelope Canyon (most popular destination spot for water activities there), and being that we weren't from the area, we took what we felt were his honest opinions. Perhaps next time we'll try another location he suggested like Lone Rock to go kayaking with them next year if we're able to make it back out. FYI - they also offer the option for delivery and pick-up for $60, which may be a convenient option for those who aren't able to do that themselves. Their prices are quite reasonable for as low as $30 for single kayak rentals, and $40 for paddle boards and tandem kayaks. ** Not included with your rental - You will need to pay a $30 National Park entrance fee per vehicle if you didn't already do that (the Zion National Park pass won't work), but if you booked a tour for Antelope Canyon or perhaps another tour in the area, you may be able to show that to the toll person who will give you a hefty discount, which allowed us to only have to pay $2 to get through. All-in-all, I can say with certainty that my group and I enjoyed our time. This is a new family business within the area, and I'm so glad we went to WazSUP Kayaks to make our trip a memorable one where they made us feel like family as well! We'll definitely be back again and of course recommend them to anyone considering going through Page for a memorable experience! Thanks Andrews fam! We'll be sure to be in touch again! :)

We had a great experience renting paddle boards here! The owners were very helpful and made it an easy experience with plenty of time to get through antelope canyon. Highly recommended!!

Just Do It! We had a blast. WazSup Kayak Rentals was 100% a smart choice. We had a blast. Paid for dropping off and pick up (smart choice) and Bill recommendation of early morning paddle was spot on. We miss the crowds and the heat. It was a fabulous day, got in a work out and we got great photos. Bring water, snacks and get ready for a beautiful hike. We didn't regret one minute. Thanks Wazzzsup!!!

The best Kayak rental place in town! We were new to the area and called other places but were turned down due to being completely sold out. We called WazSup kayaks and told us they would hold our rental for us ! They were extremely kind and helpful. The owner and his boys loaded our kayak onto our car (no roof racks needed) and told us exactly where to go and what section of the lake to visit. If we needed any help or got lost the owner let us know we could call with anything we needed. The absolute best service ! If you're ever in town visit WazSup Kayaks!!

Decided to kayak the night before so we went to the rental shop just down the street from here which was sold out of rental kayak before 8:15 which is when we showed up. Honestly I think they were sold out by last night thru online reservations. After a debacle of an experience there. We stopped by WazSUP and Bill was loading up kayaks. He said he'd be back at 10:30 after doing some drop offs and get us hooked up. He apologized that he was the only person working and couldn't help us right then due to some deliveries he had to make. He said that this is supposed to be off-season. During our wait we called two more rental places before 8:45 and all of them were sold out of kayaks. At a little after 10am Bill was back at the shop and rented us his last two single kayaks and delivered them to the boat ramp. It was about 150$ total for the rentals + delivery. Bill had us on the water by 11am and gave us some helpful tips. Overall great experience and would rent here again based off good customer service and to support Bill and his business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING RESERVATIONS ONLINE, apparently COVID has made spontaneity a thing of the past.

This a very long overdue review, but I can not RECOMMEND renting from WazSUP Kayak Rental enough!!! My family and I were in Page for a short stay and decided to go kayaking at Stateline Boat Launch. Bill was extremely helpful even with our last minute rental. He brought the kayaks over right away and was so kind & helpful. Bill even made suggestions on which places to kayak to in our three hour rental time frame! The only thing I'd mention is to leave your belongings in the car because the kayaks don't have a water compartment in them and there aren't any water bags provided; however, he did lend us a little cooler and gave the option of an alternative bag to clip onto the kayak (we opted for the cooler). The kayaking was perfect UNTIL we got hit by a super random FLASH FLOOD. Two of us got back to shore beforehand because we saw the storm coming in, but the other two in our group were out on the water still (no knowledge of the storm or what to do in the storm). Needless to say, the two on the water got stuck out there when the storm hit and it was scary. Boats (with inexperienced boat renters) were coming in super hot trying to get out of the water and didn't help our family in the kayak until finally one boat did, which ended up making the kayak flip over. WHOLE MESS. Anyways, long story short, Bill came back early after seeing the storm and stayed with us through this entire experience. We lost our phones and car keys after the kayak flipped because the zipper of the cooler broke open from water pressure. Bill helped call all the right people, drive us around to all the places we needed, and stayed extremely humble and professional at the same time. He cared for us like a father would care for his kids and it left the best impression. We could not have gotten through this without him! RENT FROM BILL!!!!!!

We rented a kayak for one night, picking up at closing and dropping off around noon the next day. Bill and his family took care of us very well and offered very useful tips and directions. They were very accommodating and had such a willingness to help, we will definitely be returning customers in the future and would recommend others to rent from them. I also appreciated Bill asking for feedback from our trip in case we had helpful tips that he could relay to his future customers.

Great kayaking trip with this organization. Communication was prompt and directions were easy to follow. Very knowledgeable about the area and gave us tips for navigating our journey into antelope canyon. Arrived early to drop the kayak off for us and on time to pick it up! Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing. Made a reservation online for drop off and pick up at Antelope Point Boat Ramp for 1 tandem kayak. Bill was super nice and helpful. Gave us directions to get to the ramp and where to meet him. Made the day smooth and seamless. We got cell reception and were able to text him out ETA on the way back so he was able to meet us for the pickup! Highly recommend if you want a stress free to get a kayak on Lake Powell and don't want to tie it to your car (we had a Chevy Sonic, wasn't going to happen) Kayaks have their names on them and so do the life jackets so you can tell them apart from the others if you go to Antelope Canyon.

Bill and his family were super friendly, easy to get ahold of and helped us unload and load our kayaks. Would love to come back and use them again! I was also able to take my dog in the kayak for the trip!

Stumbled upon this shop while visiting town for a few days, it was meant to be! We met Bill who is nothing but helpful, welcoming, caring and kind. He is a local who gave us all the knowledge and places to see in Lake Powell and Page. He told us everything we needed to know to make the best of our trip. We planned to rent paddle boards but the wind was too much, he offered to refund us but we went out the next day instead. Kayaking through the Antelope Canyons was an unreal experience! We didn't know where the beach was so we followed BIll as he delivered the paddle boards right to the water, super helpful because it's not easy. He genuinely cared and watched out for us each day. Couldn't be happier with our experience with WazSUP Kayaks and Bill and his team!

    Taylor H.

Bill at WazSUP was the best! I was recently on a girls trip and we did some poor planning on our part and failed to book kayaks in advance. We called probably every single rental place in Page with no luck. We even went door to door basically begging for for kayaks lol... we gave a few places our number in case any kayaks came back early but figured it just wasn't gonna happen at that point... Until Bill saved the day!!!! He was the only place that called us back and it was a miracle -- he had kayaks for us!! We are so thankful for the amazing customer service from Bill and the WazSUP team. They were all so nice and helpful. Kayaking on Lake Powell was the highlight of our trip! I highly recommend booking in advance though ;)

A friend and I booked this event for her 40th birthday and it was the absolute highlight of our trip! We were thinking of renting kayaks and doing it ourselves but are both so grateful that we didn't because our tour guide, Ryan, was fantastic-- extremely knowledgeable, helpful, witty, and patient with us, as we were both beginners. He made it really fun! We learned that Britney Spears shot her video "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman" there, too! This was so worth it and will definitely be coming back and booking with Ryan!

She said yes but the benefit of using them was they carried the boards down and up a steep hill. We were there on Saturday April 25th. So we rented two paddle boards and she warned us about the winds. It was like $155. She was nice so we went for it. We get to the site and are waiting around. They haven't even taken the boards off the truck, but we were fine waiting. Layla finally made it up the HILL and had 2 boards taken off the truck and laid on the ground. I asked if any of the MANY men who were there and carrying kayaks down, was going to carry them down. She said no, you carry them. And that hill was STEEP. I figured meh, okay. I was annoyed since we were told they'd be ready for us at the bottom. Layla carried my paddle. Once I saw the hill, I was even more annoyed but I already paid $155 plus $30 entry to the lake. When we got to the bottom, she mentioned when we got back I had to carry it back up. I said I'm not doing that. lol. She held my leash so I could climb on my board. Not an easy task where we were. The paddle boarding was rough but we knew that, the girls at the office warned us. 5 miles later we returned. I STRUGGLED getting off the board and trying to haul it up by myself, my body was shaking and I was visibly exhausted. A young man who worked for this place, WATCHED me struggle. Asked how it was, I said it sucked. He mentioned me carrying the board up that steep hill, while I was shaking from exhaustion and out of breath, and I said "I'm not doing that" and he replied with "why is it heavy?" I did carry my life jacket and paddle...but after that comment I REALLY didn't want to. Layla gave me a water at the top and said to take a breath, I was breathing very heavy. I'd say don't rent paddle boards. You will have to carry them up and down the hill and will get no assistance getting off the board either. But they did carry the kayaks and help those people who also paid like we did, in and out of the kayaks. So maybe rent those and not the paddle boards.

The day before our tour, Julia called to let us know strong headwinds were expected and asked if we wanted to adjust our time. We already had a different morning tour scheduled, and they were incredibly accommodating with our plans. At the launch site, we met our guide Logan, and we were lucky that it was just our family of four on this tour. Husband and I wore aqua shoes and my daughters opted to wear their Birkenstock sandals and go barefoot, which was fine if you're okay with getting red mud on them. Logan was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous since I'm a beginner kayaker, but he let us move at our own pace. It ended up being a great workout while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The canyon was quiet, beautiful, and not crowded at all. We paddled across Lake Powell and into the canyon, and the cool lake water felt amazing in the warm end-of-March weather (mid-80s). They provided life jackets, offered bottled water, and Logan even took photos of us both on the water and at the end of the canyon, which we really appreciated. He also shared helpful paddling tips along the way. The entire tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours and was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Highly recommend for families and beginners looking for a scenic and well-guided kayaking experience!

Our group completed the kayak and hike which were very much worth it! We needed slight accommodations and Sid and John were reassuring and supportive for both my mom and I. This tour is really for everyone and I can't recommend this tour company and John enough. Because we traveled during off season, we had the entire lake and trail to ourselves. John left much time for us to take cool pictures and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure to engage with each person in the group and was successful in getting the more shy individuals to step out of their comfort zones. John and Sid (the other employee) made this tour worth it. They provided awesome recommendations for things in the area and also future outdoor related activities in the U.S. Be sure to pack enough water. Remember you are in a kayak and your items will likely get soaked. Luckily they provide one water proof bag per kayak which can hold your phone and camera. If you feel the need to pack more, I recommend that you bring your own waterproof back pack. I opted to go barefoot in the kayak and wear shoes on the hike. You will have to walk through water to get on and off of the boat. Do not let your size and fitness level deter you from this tour. The team is incredibly accommodating and reassuring, making this the perfect tour for all. Highly recommend this tour and either Sid or John!

I never made one negative comment against Steph she was great. I just made some suggestions on my other reviews and the direct response from 'Paddle Express' "was to place blame while lying" instead of accepting the suggestions in peace. The owner Sean is very unprofessional and a bully with narcissistic mannerisms/behaviors. If you look at his responses to his clients that don't give him 5 stars across other review sites you will definitely see a pattern!! "He takes no accountability" 'HIS TACTIC IS TO PLACE BLAME WHILE GOING INTO a full rant against his clients ". The best response for a professional business owner is 'OH' "not everyone is professional"! "Take some accountability and stop bashing your clients". Nothing and no one is perfect but when you go on an entire rant attacking your previous clients it shows your character. I'm really sorry I chose your company when I booked. There were so many companies I didn't expect blatant bullying. I must say it's okay you can't make everybody happy but one thing you can do is stay clear of people like Sean. Paddle Express asked us how we were feeling about paddling in this weather and they offered no pressure for us to continue. They allowed us to decide independently of the others in our group if we wanted to continue. 6 out of 8 backed out and they didn't force the last two to cancel which I thought was very professional. We were able to receive a full refund and I would most definitely book with them again. They offered us dry bags, nice life vests, newer paddles and their kayaks were clean (even though I didn't get to actually use one). I would definitely recommend Paddle Express to anyone and I'm looking forward to using them on my next trip out here.

Lake Powell is gorgeous but this is insane. Customer service isn't second, it's non existent. Absolute clown show. The concession hasn't been put to bid since 1969. Kick Aramark out.

Here are some takeaways from our most recent trip on a houseboat in June 2022…read more.. 1) You have to book this boat 1 year in advance. Expect to pay around $8k plus gas, plus insurance. It's roughy $10k for a middle of the road boat for 5 days when it all adds up. 2) We had the 62' Journey. It did not look like any of the pictures online, it was much dated, but it worked, for the most part. Make sure you check everything before you go - the fridge, freezer, are so important, the generator too! 3) We did a "pre-board" and I recommend doing this if you are renting a boat in Powell. What a pre-board means is that at 5pm the night before you can board the boat, vs. waiting until 3:30pm the following day. This way, you wake up the next day, get checked out and you are on your merry way to find a spot to dock your boat. It's a great way to go. It does cost extra, and also know they will not let you on that boat anytime before 5pm, we tried. If you go this route as well, know that the people working on the dock are busy with the people who are boarding for that day, they are driving golf carts with their luggage and food, etc. and will not likely be able to help you until the next day, if not later in that day, so be prepared to carry your stuff to your boat, if you don't want to wait for someone. 4) Get the insurance. Do not sign up to pay for anything that breaks on that boat, it's $70/day for the insurance and trust me when you look at your boat you are going to want that. 5) If you are not savvy with boats, don't attempt to do anything if it's really windy or there are other poor weather conditions. You will have a hard time, and if there are any conditions like this I recommend waiting til it dies down to move your boat, park your boat on shore, etc. We were listening to the radio at the dock and we happened to come back in on a very windy day. It was A MESS. People losing anchors, things breaking, hitting other boats, etc. Just sit still if the weather isn't good and wait for a nice calm day to move your boat. Honestly our kids enjoyed their time being parked at the marina and on the boat, you aren't missing much and you will be safer. 5) Here's some general houseboating tips -- the slide is fun AF :), bring an iphone cord that adapts to the standard outlet so you can play music or bring a portable speaker, bring DVDs, bring a UHF radio so you can connect with the boat, and/or bring walkie talkies, you will want binoculars to see the numbered buoys, plan your food each day so you don't overpack, keep your meals simple. You do have a cooler and you will need quite a bit of ice, put some ice in your freezer so you have backup during your stay on the boat, ask the dock for a tow rope for your speedboat, and ask the person checking you out for recommendations on where to park, do your research first but ask them, they know best! For the price they charge you could go to a tropical island...the beauty of Powell is that 1) it's beautiful and 2) you don't have any service. #2 is a huge draw for me. It's truly a place to disconnect. You are basically camping on the water, just keep that in mind, it's an experience for sure! We saw Antelope marina on our way in/out of our camping spot. I would consider them next time, their boats looked nicer and they have good reviews on Yelp, they are closer to Padre Bay too, just a thought that was going throug my head...no idea how the experience is there but maybe take a look at them as well. Also the Axiom Star is the best boat, if you can get it. It's really lovely inside. The other one that is on the nicer end is the Wanderer. But if you can get the Axiom -- it's very very nice. Much nicer than what we were on! I had tried to book that a year in advance it was already taken.
