Beyond wear and tear

This was suppose to be my daughters 12th bday present. We are bought owners... Super Air NAUTIQUE from Dallas. We had lowered our standards for a Bayliner but for $700 this is unacceptable. A piece of trash. We tried to make the best of it but the motor barely would start. Power steering out. Inside of boat horrendous and disgusting. Other reviews have mentioned this. They are not lying. Please do not rent from here .

This has been the best boat rental service I have ever received. Our family and I were so amazed with all of the friendly service we received. From making the reservation to pick up and at the dock. Andrew was so sweet and he even helped my family with loading. Peter was so nice and understanding with my transaction. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Carl's marina. The nicest team! Great service Easy check in and check out

We came in from out of town and wanted to visit Antelope Canyon. Since the only way to do that right now is via Lake Powell, we wanted jet skis. This place was amazing! They were so accommodating and helpful. They gave us tips and pointers on where to go, how to stay safe and what to watch out for. They made sure we had everything we needed, included plastic bags for our phones. They dropped the jet skis off at the marina and then picked us up when we were done. The jet skis were great. We had no issues with them at all. They were fast and fun and safe. I highly recommend this place. From the beginning to end, it was a smooth transaction and experience.

Everything was pretty much sold out and my friends reached out to Carl's Marine. Service - Its a small independent husband and wife business, they're very nice people and will go out of the way to help you. They even picked up some parts I needed for the RZR while I was out on the Pontoon. I really can't explain how kind and nice the service is here. Rates - Very competitive compared to the other boat places out here. Equipment - We rented 4 Jet Skis, and 1 Pontoon the Pontoon is a bit on the older side and has no system, but it drove great with no issues and served it's purpose. Overall this place has great service and they go above and beyond to help out. Will be using them in the future if needed again.

The BEST in the lake Powell area. All employees were kind and extremely helpful. Went above and beyond to accommodate us. I called around 7-8 different locations and these guys had the best price in town. They also deliver the boats for a reasonable fee. When I return to the area, I'm not going to anyone else. Plenty of boats and toys to choose from. Everything worked great and was a blast to use.

Damage we "caused" but obviously was already wrecked

We called the morning of to check for availability, and Tony was incredibly helpful. Despite it being a busy holiday weekend, she was able to accommodate us and even provided a valet service to the marina, which made the whole process so easy. Compared to other options, B&T was the most affordable! Tony really went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared and safe. She walked us through all the essential equipment we would need for the day--including a waterproof bag, water bottles, and life jackets--and gave us a detailed map with some fantastic local pointers. She also took the time to give us a thorough tutorial on how to operate the jet ski, along with some great safety tips and tricks that really helped us feel confident on the water. Tony is such a pleasant, friendly person with a great sense of humor, and she made our day even better. We spent four hours on the water (from 12 PM to 4 PM), and although it was a busy holiday, Lake Powell is so massive that it never felt congested. The main canyon area she recommended was absolutely stunning, and since there were no kayaks around, we were really able to enjoy the speed of the jet ski. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back to rent from B&T Marine again!

This place is more of a place where people can bring their boats/kayak/paddle boards/ or swim…read more FYI: this review is only for bringing rental kayaks/paddle boards to this location. We didn't do the boat tours. Entrance costs $30 for 1 week. There's a person at the entrance collecting money. We rented it through an a company where we lived and brought the board/kayaks. We swam in the lake and kayak/paddle boarded on the lake. Very easy to find. We got the map from our Paddleboard rental place. Our rental place told us the location for kayaking and paddle boarding, we drove, staying to the left road and keep going to parking lot near the end. They suggested us to drive down the ramp and unload and reload everything on the ramp so we don't have to carry it all the way to the parking lot. If you're going, HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY BRING at LEAST 1 gallon of water/PER PERSON!!!!! You'll need it. You don't want to be dehydrated and can't paddle back to shore. We didn't bring enough water and sunblock! We had people turn tomato and were dehydrated. Most of us had our skin peeling within a week after our little excursion. There's a restroom, but I'm not sure where exactly it is. The length to the end of the canyon is 2 hours in and 2 hours out. So I stress the importance of water. Esp when we went it was 110 degrees in August!!! We hiked 1/4 of the way and turned round because we were so hot and thirsty. I suggest taking your time and don't over exert yourself. Have fun! And see the magnificent view! When there were flat surfaces I saw ppl securely placing the paddles at the plat parts of the rocks and just hung around in the area and swam in the lake. It was really fun over all! I highly recommend it!! ****tip*** if you're renting kayak/paddleboard, make sure you know how to set your kayaks and how to strap it onto your car. You'll have to do everything yourself. No one to really help you, unless you ask random people who knows.

She's a true gem with fabulous visitor service skills. Highly recommend.

The PWC's we got were brand new. One had 17 hrs and the other 21hrs. We rented them for a full week and the price was by far the best in the entire area. Not just Page, but all the places between St George and Page. We never had a problem but Rick said if we did to call him and he'd take care of it. We had 28 family members on the lake for a week and between the boats and the PWC's we rented it was the best time ever on the Lake. She said yes but the benefit of using them was they carried the boards down and up a steep hill. We were there on Saturday April 25th. So we rented two paddle boards and she warned us about the winds. It was like $155. She was nice so we went for it. We get to the site and are waiting around. They haven't even taken the boards off the truck, but we were fine waiting. Layla finally made it up the HILL and had 2 boards taken off the truck and laid on the ground. I asked if any of the MANY men who were there and carrying kayaks down, was going to carry them down. She said no, you carry them. And that hill was STEEP. I figured meh, okay. I was annoyed since we were told they'd be ready for us at the bottom. Layla carried my paddle. Once I saw the hill, I was even more annoyed but I already paid $155 plus $30 entry to the lake. When we got to the bottom, she mentioned when we got back I had to carry it back up. I said I'm not doing that. lol. She held my leash so I could climb on my board. Not an easy task where we were. The paddle boarding was rough but we knew that, the girls at the office warned us. 5 miles later we returned. I STRUGGLED getting off the board and trying to haul it up by myself, my body was shaking and I was visibly exhausted. A young man who worked for this place, WATCHED me struggle. Asked how it was, I said it sucked. He mentioned me carrying the board up that steep hill, while I was shaking from exhaustion and out of breath, and I said "I'm not doing that" and he replied with "why is it heavy?" I did carry my life jacket and paddle...but after that comment I REALLY didn't want to. Layla gave me a water at the top and said to take a breath, I was breathing very heavy. I'd say don't rent paddle boards. You will have to carry them up and down the hill and will get no assistance getting off the board either. But they did carry the kayaks and help those people who also paid like we did, in and out of the kayaks. So maybe rent those and not the paddle boards.

The day before our tour, Julia called to let us know strong headwinds were expected and asked if we wanted to adjust our time. We already had a different morning tour scheduled, and they were incredibly accommodating with our plans. At the launch site, we met our guide Logan, and we were lucky that it was just our family of four on this tour. Husband and I wore aqua shoes and my daughters opted to wear their Birkenstock sandals and go barefoot, which was fine if you're okay with getting red mud on them. Logan was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous since I'm a beginner kayaker, but he let us move at our own pace. It ended up being a great workout while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The canyon was quiet, beautiful, and not crowded at all. We paddled across Lake Powell and into the canyon, and the cool lake water felt amazing in the warm end-of-March weather (mid-80s). They provided life jackets, offered bottled water, and Logan even took photos of us both on the water and at the end of the canyon, which we really appreciated. He also shared helpful paddling tips along the way. The entire tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours and was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Highly recommend for families and beginners looking for a scenic and well-guided kayaking experience!

I think compared to many reviews, I feel fortunate that it could've been worse. The pros were we had a professional airline and military aircraft pilot who could fix and understand all the mechanical and electrical dilemmas we had, we rented a starlink from a guy in Page Az which made music and entertainment actually existent. That is a pro move. It was $144 for 5 days that was more than worth it. Starlink gets 6 stars. Their satellite tv setup was janky af and even the pilot couldn't get it to work because cables were literally missing. But that's fine, we're there for the friends, family, views and water. The "staterooms" were better than sleeping in a coffin but the mattresses were the next step up from a jail mattress. Yes. I've been to jail lol. There was a small mouse running about. But it was kinda of a cute little dude. We got stuck on shore, but I blame that on us not being professional houseboaters. We did contact them over radio and they came and got us out. So I give them props for that. I'm an outdoorsman and I like roughing it, so I was fine with a lot of what went down on this trip, but my wife... different story. If you go on this trip, your perception is key. Expect the worst and hope for the best. Make sure someone in your crew is a badass with mechanical stuff. Focus on disconnecting from creature comforts, and get a boat along with the houseboat and you will be better off. Lake Powell resort and marina houseboat Journey 62', you get 1 star. Just be honest on your website and say something like "you get what you get, good luck" and I will give you 5 stars. Just don't BS people. Not cool. Overall 2 stars

AVOID WAHWEAP MARINA -- WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE…read more We rented two houseboats here mid-July to the 24th. Ours, the Discovery XL, was a filthy, falling-apart wreck that should've been retired or burned years ago. Half-broken range, ripped canvas top, spiders and webs everywhere -- and it reeked like a sewage dump the second we boarded. We had a cleaning crew sent out before departure, and even they told us straight up: the boat had NOT been cleaned before it was rented to us. They did their best to clean the boat and make minor repairs in the one hour they had, but it wasn't enough. There was a raw sewage smell that blew through the A/C vents at random times for hours-- and we couldn't shut the A/C off in 100+ degree heat, so we were stuck breathing it in for the entire trip. Imagine trying to go to sleep and your stuck breathing in raw sewage. On top of that, every single sliding door on the boat is old and busted. The tracks are so warped that the doors are a struggle to open at all. The slider in the back has a broken lock, so it just slides open and shut on its own all day long wasting A/C and letting the heat in-- every door on this busted up boat needs to be replaced. Another employee told us the real problem: this company doesn't actually repair the houseboats. They slap a temporary fix on it and hope it holds. That's exactly what this boat felt like -- a floating liability/ porta-pottie. Josh, the manager, should be fired. Zero empathy, zero accountability. When we complained, he tried to blame US for not asking to switch boats -- even though we were told everything was booked and no one offered us that option. A manager who already knew the boat wasn't cleaned and blames the customer anyway has no business managing anything. Do yourself a favor and rent from Antelope Marina instead -- their boats look like they are actually maintained. Don't waste your time and money on a houseboat from this marina like we did, it was a vacation from hell.

I arrived about 20 minutes early, but the staff offered no guidance or assistance. Instead, they were rude, slow, and acted as though helping customers was an inconvenience. It honestly felt like they were making it difficult for us to get where we needed to be. After waiting in 106-degree weather, a golf cart finally arrived and combined my family with another family before taking us to the boat rental office. Because of the delay caused by their own transportation process, we arrived at 3:32 p.m. Despite this, the front desk staff refused to rent us a boat, even though they didn't close until 4:00 p.m. The employee was dismissive and unprofessional throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for a golf cart to take us back. Overall, the entire experience was frustrating due to the staff's poor attitude, lack of urgency, and unwillingness to help. The customer service was among the worst I've experienced, and I would not recommend this business.
