We hit a rock in Lake Powell and bent our boat propeller. Called 5 other boat shops in town and they were all rather short and rude. Called Rob from Surf Lake Powell and he was incredibly helpful. He spent time on the phone with us and several text messages back and forth. After we got off the lake, Rob took a look at the prop and wouldn't sell us a new prop. He had one in stock and easily could have just told us we needed a new propeller but he examined the shaft and rudder and determined we might be able to get the prop fixed back home in SLC with the Prop Doc instead. My husband and I went to the lake today for the 1st time and although we didn't use this company, I felt they still deserved a review. I don't know the gentleman's name but possibly the owner who drives a white Dodge truck. This man came to our rescue when the van that was about to load our rented seadoo blew a tire. This man took his trailer up the ramp to unhook his and came back down to attached the trailer that had our seadoo and helped load it in the water. Extremely nice and professional. This place has fantastic service. On the way to Lake Powell we had our Lilly pad, rafts and life vests stolen off our boat in Flagstaff. Rob saved our trip by renting us a Lilly pad for the week at a very reasonable price. Jake and Mike are awesome and definitely go the extra mile for their customers. We did a two day rental and they handled everything for us; they launched us in the morning and pulled us out at night. The boats are really nice (brand new 2019 axis) and Jake gave us a bunch of useful tips to get the most out of surfing experience. We were unlucky the first day and had an alternator go out on the first day in the center of the lake. Jake had me drop a pin and showed up with a new boat and batteries within 45min. The owner and staff are incredible! Rob came to our rescue when our new boat would not start. It was a new boat and our first time on Lake Powell. The dealership told us we needed an oil change, which wasn't the case but they wouldn't help until we did that. Surf Lake Powell I am usually not one to write a review, but I felt impressed to do so, after the experience we had after renting with Surf Lake Powell. We have rented other places in the past, but I never will again. I have finally found a rental company that looks out for their client. The service was second to none. We had some issues with one of the SeaDoos we rented. After a quick text, a properly working machine was swapped out and we were back having fun. The circumstances at the ramps, due to launch restrictions and water levels were not ideal, yet they jumped through some significant hoops to ensure that my family's vacation wasn't interrupted. They even made an adjustment on our invoice to make sure we felt that we were being treated fairly. At other rental companies, you will understand my next statement. I have always been made to feel "guilty until proven innocent," not here. This is a company that understands customer service and takes pride in providing it at a high level.
