Wayne is a fantastic and meticulously honest man, and a great mechanic. He works his butt off, and he's truly an expert in all types of cars. I was blown away by his service: he got me in immediately and was very kind and reassuring when I was stressed about my car troubles. He updated me frequently, got my car done FAST (despite it being a weird old '88 Volkswagen van with lots to fix), and he gave me a very fair price. Probably thousands of dollars less than what I would have gotten at the dealership. Wayne even showed me the exact parts he replaced one by one, and walked me through every item on the bill, without me even asking. He makes sure his customers feel totally valued and informed. He has a smile on his face the whole time, and is truly just a great guy who takes pride in his work and in his shop. There is a all star performance here at this small shop so I say help support the small business local in your community and give this place a try the next time you are in need of excellent repairs, fair pricing, and customer service that you just can't find places these days I tell you! They just don't have honest mechanics like Wayne at Wayne's Automotive readily available and I was seriously lucky that I stumbled across his shop tucked in behind the businesses on pinefalls off Brea canyon on the opposite side of the street from farmer boys and the gas station. Especially being a woman I am used to being thought of as a easy target to be ripped off or sold more then needed. The thing is I have some automotive experience and tend to diagnose issues and do my own research before I bring my vehicle in for any repair so I am not your average woman that can be told and charged wrong. This is my new go-to auto shop. I came here to remove my wing/spoiler, which another shop quoted me $500 to remove the wing and fill the holes. Wayne removed the wing for $40 and filled in the holes for free (of course I had to buy the silicone sealant for $8, because he didn't have it in my car's color). Wayne is also very polite, courteous, and he feels more like a good friend than someone providing service. His mellow personality is accompanied by a genuine love and passion for cars--this isn't just a job to him, it's an Interest and genuine desire to fix cars. I think this is very important especially when there's no other choice but to leave your hunk of metal (that's worth thousands) with a complete stranger! I love my car to bits and pieces and ALWAYS watched over it with other mechanics because I know they were just out for money and efficiency (hint: chain company auto shops), but it wasn't like that with Wayne. Finally, his passion is joined by his knowledge as cars... and from just speaking to him I could tell that he knows cars like the back of his hand. I asked him every possible question about all those things underneath my hood and patiently answered them all. I was surprised that he still wanted to help me out and even talk to me! Can't start my car on saturday after 5pm. I was in a parking lot with no one can help. I was lucky enough to find Wayne to fix my car for me on the weekend night so I don't have to worry about can't start the car 2nd day in the morning. Wayne is very honest and charge is reasonable. He didn't ripe me off just because I was on the road and can find no one to help. He even told me to get the parts from AutoZone myself in order to save some money. He gave me a quote over the phone before I head over. He finished the job shorter than what we expected. I will for sure go to him again if I have problem with my car in the future!! read more

Wayne is as honest as the day is long, when it comes to car repairs. He has been my family's only mechanic since 11 May 1991. We found him because of a friend's parts house business. He's repaired and kept on the road a '76 Ford p.u. truck, a 1977 Chevy caprice, a 1975 Chevy caprice wagon, a 1970 Plymouth duster and a 2003 Buick century. Since I personally do a lot of driving for my job, my car(s) needs to be in good running order all the time. Yes, his price is kinda high, but you get what you pay for. I have referred all my friends and family to him and everyone has been happy. The bad review for this business sounds and smells like sour grapes to me. If I could give negative reviews I would. He is extremely dishonest and is hurting for business. Therefore he justifies this by charging us $525 for storage fees we had no idea about. He said he would look over our car for free but instead changed the battery and charged us for it. On top of that, he said he would examine our car, but when we went to go pick it up, he said he was going to charge us $75 an hour. He's hurting for money, but is a cheater and a liar who will do anything for some quick cash. He screwed us over and will do so with anyone else. Avoid him. He is shady. When we got the cops involved, the cop agreed that he was a shady individual but he could do not do anything because it was a civil matter between the two parties. Not only is he extremely rude, but he is manipulative and a scammer. AVOID so that he can go out of business and not scam others out of hundreds and potentially thousands of dollars. read more

We were on vacation on the way to Universal Studios and out rental broke down on the way, it started overheating sitting in traffic. Where is there a traffic jam at 11 in the morning ? Not going back to LA anytime soon. We limped down the exit ramp and the Gas Station had 5 kinds of coffee 10 kinds of fountain drinks but no mechanic. The clerk sent us across the street to this guy Wayne. The shop was crowded with old cars and stuff but looked at our car right away. The radiator hoses had a cut in it and burst. He had the car running in no time for less than $150.00. He put the bad hose in the trunk and sent us on our way. The rental car agency (rhymes with rational) checked out the parts and was happy to reimburse us for our trouble. The guy at Wayne's Automotive saved our day and gave us a fun story to tell our friends when we got home. read more
