What a wonderful and entertaining show!! We loved this show so much the first time we saw it that we decided to see Wayne Newton's show once again. If you want an extraordinary experience that is very unique to Las Vegas, we highly recommend that you come see this show.

I love Vegas. So much so that I've been here a couple dozen times. I'm fascinated with the glitz, and I'm fascinated with the history. Wayne Newton is a Vegas icon, and I've thought about getting tickets for a long time. It just so happens that he had shows scheduled this week, so I decided to go. Newton is an outstanding performer. He knows how to captivate the crowd and engage them. That is especially true in this intimate, up close and personal venue. While his singing voice has diminished with age, he can still belt out a tune. But the real gem is in his storytelling. Through a simulated Q&A the audience is taken on a journey of his career as a singer, musician, and actor. He tells stories and augments them with clips from performances. You also learn interesting facts about his career. It appears that he was always where he needed to be at the right time and that the legendary performers he encountered early in his career nurtured him and protected him from the industry. There is a reason Newton is known as Mr. Las Vegas. It is not a self indulgent title but one he has earned through hard work and artistic showmanship. Want to know more about this legend? Then treat yourself to his show and enjoy his enthusiasm for his craft which carries over to his audience. He mentioned that you can take people's money without having an impact but when you take their time you are taking a part of their lives. The time spent with Wayne Newton was well worth it, and I highly recommend his show whether you are a die hard or just a casual fan.

More musical experience than you can believe.

As you are aware Wayne has been around for more than a minute. The show at Flamingo Las Vegas is a must see if you love Vegas and its history. His small band was outstanding. His stories and history were fun and informative. More talent and musical ability than most. I was thrilled with his new show and encourage you to check it out.

Granted, Wayne Newton's voice is not as strong as it was, but at 83 who's is? But what he has--what he always has had--is the magic gift of entertainment. His show Up Close and Personal show at the Flamingo is pure enjoyment. Even after thousands of performances over 70-plus years, he still looks like he's having a blast. The cabaret is so intimate there's not a bad seat in the house. He was everything I expected-- and more. Danka Shein, Wayne.

Let's just start by saying it was worth the money. Wayne is an icon and has had a long career. This show was a very intimate look into his career from Wayne himself. The theater is nice and small and allows you to be up close and personal with him. He interacts with the crowd and also plays instruments in his act. I loved going over the history of his career and the many fun facts about those he worked with in the show biz industry. I especially loved the fun facts about the Vegas Vacation movie he was in. Absolutely hilarious. They allow you to bring in drinks and there is a bar right next to the entrance for you to buy some. Please have enough respect to silence your phones, turn off the flash and do NOT take FaceTime phone calls while he's performing, so rude.

Mr. Las Vegas still has it! What a fun walk down memory lane with Wayne. All the hits, the one-liners and behind the scenes stories of his legendary career. Touching moments remembering friends Glenn Campbell, Elvis, Bobby Darin, Jack Benny, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin and others. Great intimate theater setting. Not a bad seat in the house. He seemed genuinely appreciative of the laughs, applause and ovations. Danka Shoen, Wayne.

The fact that Wayne Newton is 80 years old and still performing is pretty amazing. While he can't hit the notes he used to, he can still sell a song and knows his audience. You have to respect that. Without giving too much away, there's more talking and video clips than singing. Watching some videos on YouTube, the show continues to evolve but I enjoyed his live duet with Sammie Davis Jr. He also plays a few different instruments which was fun. The theater is great. Honestly, there isn't a bad seat in the house. The sound wasn't overly loud like some shows, but the sound mix was sometimes off. If you want a possible interaction with Wayne, you will want to sit in the front. If you are celebrating anything, let them know when you are seated and he'll mention you in the show, and depending on your reaction, you might get a little more attention. I'm bummed I never saw Wayne Newton live in his prime, but the stories of a bygone era are priceless.

What a fantastic show. I've been to plenty of Vegas shows, to be wowed by feats of acrobatic skill, magic, strength, mind reading, so on and so forth. All of those are like watching an online video; great, you got to see it in person, but there's no soul to it at the end of the day. My wife and I got married in Vegas and have been visiting for decades; we love the city, its history, the gambling, the shows, food, etc. I've of course been familiar with Wayne Newton for quite some time, and yes I've seen Vegas Vacation like everyone else, where he easily steals the show from Chevy Chase's dated comedy bits. I thought you know, maybe we should go see what is really the last piece of living Vegas history spanning several of the past eras, given he's the only person who's both performed consistently in Vegas across the past six decades, is still alive, and is still performing. Did I go in expecting to hear him perfectly reprise a bunch of his musical hits? Of course not, he's 80. Honestly I don't really care much for his music. After reading reviews about this show and learning that it's much more about interacting with the limited audience, offering stories and history, showing photos and videos from back in those days, and just going on a tour of his life in Vegas, I thought this is something I have to see. We absolutely loved it, even as probably one of the youngest couples in the room. Seriously, there were people there who'd come as part of 40, 50, and even 60 year wedding anniversary celebrations. He just came across as such a genuine person enjoying what he does, and who will likely do it until the day he dies. He still has his wits and charm even if not all of his singing voice. His wife, and some band members who've been with him for decades, are also part of the show. It was just a really pleasant experience that we'll remember fondly in ways you don't remember other Vegas shows.

Wayne Newton telling us a funny story about when he appeared on The Dean Martin Show. And we got to see it via a video clip. Great story!

Yes, I recommend getting tix and seeing this show! WAYNE NEWTON: Up Close and Personal, at Bugsy's Cabaret, at THE FLAMINGO HOTEL, in Las Vegas. I saw the show Wednesday, May 4, 2022, and LOVED IT!! What a treat!! To see a true show business LEGEND in a small, intimate, cabaret setting is truly a ROYAL TREAT!! Any seat will be fine. Just get there!! Wayne Newton is a man of many talents. He is a singer, (hit songs-yes!) actor, musician--he plays many different musical instruments. You may have seen him on The Lucy Show, Bonanza, The Dean Martin Show, The Jack Benny Show, And, he played himself in an episode of the TV Show "Las Vegas", with James Caan and Josh Duhamel...a fun episode!! One of my favs. And to give you an idea of how beloved this entertainer is, when the writers/directors of the HBO MAX SHOW "HACKS", starring Jean Smart, heard that Wayne Newton is a fan of the show, they wrote him into an episode! Legendary!! The Flamingo Hotel has Bugsy's Cabaret, and that is the place to be for WAYNE NEWTON: UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL In case you are not familiar with WAYNE NEWTON, he has performed with so many SHOW BUSINESS LEGENDS, like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jack Benny, Sammy Davis, Jr., Glen Campbell, Cher!!! AND MANY MORE!! He has also performed in USO SHOWS where our military men and women have been stationed. Mr Newton shares some wonderful stories, as well as never-heard-before behind-the-scenes stories, too!! And video clips, photos, it is all totally WONDERFUL!! Whether you are a baby boomer, and grew up watching him perform, or just learning about this legend of show business, you will enjoy this WAYNE NEWTON: UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL SHOW, at The Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas. Of the many shows he has appeared on...including charity shows, with LEGENDS IN SHOW BIZ, did you know he appeared on BONANZA?!!! Did you know he plays a ton of musical instruments?!!! I recall seeing him on The Lucy Show, and many other shows. And, you will enjoy the DEAN MARTIN behind-the-scenes story, complete with VERY COOL black and white video---I LOVED THIS STORY!! If you're someone trying to break into show business, then you should see this show. The behind-the-scenes stories will give you an idea of real life in show biz, from one of the LEGENDS in the business. And Wayne Newton's stunningly gorgeous wife appears on stage, too! I love the way they met. And in the show, you'll see a beautiful wedding photo of both of them cutting their wedding cake, and the beautiful big smiles, just wonderful to see. I'll post a photo of it, so look closely at the photos here, because it is a photo within a photo. I will post a lot of photos, so take a look. YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE WAS A STANDING OVATION FROM THE AUDIENCE!!! See this show, for sure. BOTTOM LINE--SEE THIS INCREDIBLE PERFORMER, TRULY A LEGEND IN SHOW BIZ. BRAVO!! A SHOW WORTH SEEING.

The show was amazing. I'm 36 and went with my mother and we both had a great time. It was nostalgic and fun to see a Las Vegas icon. I smiled the whole time and even had some happy tears! The theater is so intimate, you can't go wrong with any seat. I would definitely go again!

I had the absolute honor and pleasure to attend this show with my wife last week. I must say that Wayne was someone that I didn't know a lot about. I knew he was a child prodigy and remembered him from the Jerry Lewis Telethon and of course, Vegas Vacation. Wayne came out and sang many more songs than I expected and although his voice isn't what it once was, it was perfect for who he is today. He was personable, funny and his stories and videos were top-notch. I laughed often and even shed a few tears during the performance. It was honestly one of the best shows I've seen in over 40 trips to Vegas. You can take photos and video during the show and I'm thrilled to come away with memories that we can re-live. I only regret that we won't be back until March, but if he is still playing, we'll be there again, 100% certain. We bought just the general admission tickets, but we were so close, as it is a very small theater. Even if you don't know Wayne well, like me, give this show a shot. I promise you'll be glad you did. Thank you Wayne (and your wife!). You were the highlight of our trip.

I've been to this show three time, most recently this past Friday night (April 7, 2023). Wayne's voice was a bit tattered after doing shows in California the prior nights, but totally expected for a pro of 81 years. He didn't let it bother him at all, and plowed right through the show. The show hasn't changed in the three shows I've seen over the past years, and the questions supposedly put forward by the guests earlier in line, were still the same questions at every show, but the wonderfully dynamic historical videos and Wayne's fabulous way of retelling the stories far out ways the repetition of seeing the same show. I just love it every time. Emotional, historical and simply wonderful. Highly recommend it for anyone, but especially the older generations.

They had amazing craft cocktails with genius combinations. Surprisingly, it was Friday night around 10pm, and it was pretty empty. My husband and I aren't partiers or clubbers, so this was a wonderful experience of craft cocktails, a calm environment, not loud music, and chill, attractive ambiance and decor. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the bartender's name - but he was wonderful. Also a CA expat. I know this won't be the same for everyone that goes there, but pretty much had a one on one experience, because there was really no one else there. The food options looked great, but we just ate a large meal. They sounded great, and the prices were fair. Cocktail prices were also fair given the absolute quality and craft. I was disappointed by the simulation. $36 per person I think, for 3 races. Mind you, it is a simulation of an F1 car. I don't think all the kinks and knots were worked out on the machines, because they didn't work very well, races were short and didn't really seem worth the price. Now regardless of your skill or lack thereof with consoles and games, even my husband, who has a lot of experience playing driving and racing games with manual mode, found it troublesome It's a cool experience - but I wouldn't pay for it again. We absolutely love cars, so in general the theme is awesome (even if you're not a gearhead), but would come back here again for the amazing cocktails, especially if it's as chill and quiet as when we went here.

As MOH, I planned the party and spent a lottt of time going through reviews on Yelp and Reddit bc there was a lot of pressure to find the best option and decide for the group. After all my research, I'm SO glad I decided on Frederic -- the bride said this magic show was her favorite part of the trip!! (and we went to Tao dayclub the day before lol) :) I love that it was in a small, intimate theater, so that you were up close no matter where you sat. And there was SO much audience interaction -- our bride even caught a frisbee and got to go on stage -- which was fun and helped make it even more special for her. The mentalism was such a cool departure from traditional physical magic tricks -- we all loved it and had many *gasp* moments. We even got to meet Frederic after, and he performed more mentalism up close, which was cool. HIGHLY recommend this show!! (Also, it was $30/ticket, which is a price you cannot beat in Vegas)

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop wondering how he was doing any of it. Mat Franco is probably best known for winning Season 9 of America's Got Talent and now performs his residency, Magic Reinvented Nightly, at The LINQ in Las Vegas. I don't want to say too much because part of the fun is experiencing it for yourself. What I loved most was how much he interacted with the audience. It didn't feel like he was just performing at the crowd. He involved people throughout the show and made the entire room feel part of the experience. We opted for the $70 tickets that were in the first level, back area towards the bar (there is a semi-obstructed view because of the lower ceiling, but I felt like it was worth the money saved because you really only miss like when the performers are high up in the air). It was also kind of an emptier show, so we got moved from the very back to the FRONT of the back area since the seats were empty. Which worked out for me because as an audience member I typically do not like being touched or interacted with by the performers. (pretty much a guarantee if you buy one of the seats in that inner circle area, you will 100% be touched, get bread thrown at you, or have to answer questions lol). Pros: - Very easy to get tickets the day of, but make sure you check various sites because they're randomly cheaper on some websites than others. - Honestly, a pretty entertaining variety show! It's different from Cirque shows because most of the acts are either pairs or individuals, and there's a LOT of variety. There's acrobatics, singing, dancing (tap, clog), some magic from the nuns, what I can only describe as breakdancing with a gigantic ring, comedy, etc. So it's not very repetitive and you see a lot of variation in skill and talent. Since you're also so close, you can literally see the performers flexing their abs and it's honestly a miraculous display of human skill and flexibility. Even though there's sexual innuendos and undertones, I honestly didn't feel that uncomfortable because the talent is very impressive. just packaged in a raunchy show haha. I had a good time and laughed a lot. - I could not stop laughing at the constant bread throwing. - Pretty decent drinks at the bar. I got a $12 matcha mocktail called the discos cowboy and it was actually DELICIOUS and so cute. - The entrance area was easy to find and all the staff we interacted with were pretty nice. - Very lively show and plot, again hats off to the acrobats and skill performers. Cons: - When you first go in and doors open, there's a "waiting" area with a bar that you have to wait in until the staff let you into the main seating area. This area was EXTREMELY stuffy and hot, with very little air circulation, and bodies packed pretty close to each other while waiting to get drinks at the bar or just waiting for the show. I really didn't like the 15 mins we waited in this area and would have just preferred to wait in the casino hallway outside the venue. - The comedy, while raunchy and entertaining, was a little too cheesy for me at times. Especially the jokes from the matriarch Irish lady who acts as the brothel owner - I felt like those jokes were very dad-ish and way too cheesy. - I personally really dislike crowd participation or being touched without warning so this part wasn't for me LOL. But I'm grateful we sat in the back. If you are super into this sort of thing, you will love it and you should sit in the front pew area or in the main circle area. Definitely don't bring your kids lol. I think I would be open to coming back and seeing a different variety of actors, since they say they change it up sometimes. Also the show is early enough in the evening (we went to the 9:30pm showing) where you could totally still go out to the club after. I don't regret this experience haha.

Absolutely spectacular! This is hands down the best show in Vegas…read more My family and I booked this show for a Saturday night with no knowledge of what it would be like and were simply amazed. We had seen the Cirque du Soleil Show "O" before and this just does not even compare. I recommend getting seats in the center, facing the middle of the stage, as close to the front row as possible. Sitting in this section immerses yourself into the show. Logistically, this is a great venue. It is located in Treasure Island. It is in the back of the casino. Although there are signs throughout the casino leading you there, it is quite easy to get turned around on your way there. Once you find it, it is simple to enter. Use the restroom before you get in though because it is located outside of the theater! We arrived around 20 minutes prior to showtime and had no wait at all to enter. They offer commemorative photos for purchase, which we declined. There was no security which surprised me. There were no metal detectors or bag searches. Inside the theater, there is a large concessions stand with snacks and drinks. Even close to show time, there was no line there either. They have a lot of staff available to guide you to your seats - it's very efficient. The seats were actually very comfortable. They were soft, spacious, and had a lot of leg room. Even though there were no lines for anything, you absolutely need to get there early. The "show" starts before is set time as there is a comedic character that hilariously interacts with the crowd. This is a must-see and had everyone cracking up with the unexpectedness of it. The show itself is pure spectacle. It is a bizarre exhibition of talent and creativity. You will see everything from trapeze, contortion, acrobatics, dance, balancing acts, comedy, and live music from an orchestra, band, and singers. Seeing these athletes push the limits of what the human body can do in such a beautiful manner is incredibly thrilling. The costumes are beautiful and the sets are amazing. Every scene change and act is so unexpected and really leave you at the edge of your seat. You quite literally have to keep your eyes peeled open to make sure you don't miss anything. There are so many different things happening at once all across the stage, on the floor, the ceiling, and even along the walls and walkways of the audience. There is no clear plot so you may find yourself sitting there trying to figure out what it all means. Some people may find this boring but it truly makes the whole thing more fascinating. There is an obvious intention behind every little thing, it is just unclear what it is. It is truly a mystery. I have recommended this show to everyone I know and I would love to see it again!

Most of the show is nonsensical, so don't look for a plot. Something to consider if you think to yourself, I've seen this before, the fact that the show HAS been running for 30+ years means those other shows stole it from this one. Logistically, I had to pick up the tickets at will call, and when I arrived 35 minutes before show time, the line to get in was already snaking through the casino. While I panicked a little, the line moved super fast when they opened the doors. I didn't need to get into that long line. An important thing to remember, if you pick up your tickets at Will Call, you need some ID and the credit card you used to buy them. I was lucky I bought them online the night before, while I was already in Vegas, but I often use a different credit card when buying from home. So to cum up, depending on your taste, this show represents the original Cirque du Soleil concepts, and that's what you'll see.
