Paid them $4k for a new door and motor and after 18 months the trim popped off, the paint is peeling (revealing cheap aluminum frame with one layer of paint), and the motor itself has had two circuit board issues and a gear go out, yet the have the audacity to charge me an additional couple hundred of dollars in labor to come out and do one hours worth of work to fix it. HIGHLY frustrating and disappointing they don't stand by their work. Hope the $160 service charge is worth the horrible reviews and word of mouth. As a business, you had an opportunity to make it right and you chose the exact opposite. Absolutely do NOT recommend their services or their cheap products. read more

My double garage door had a Wayne Dalton Torquemaster system installed and the spring broke. I contacted this company and although I waited a couple of days for service due to my location, I can't praise the service technician enough. He arrive at 8:00am for an 8:00-12:00 window and replaced the whole assembly in rapid time and tested and set all adjustments necessary to get the door back to 'New'. Pricing was very reasonable. Wayne Dalton garage doors are trash. They have leaked water through the panels since day one and I had pools of water inside my garage when it rained. When I ask them, they said it was normal. I don't know how that is normal when my other garage doors from early 2000s that are still used do not leak water through the panels inside my house garage. read more

Do not use Wayne Dalton. I Bought 3 doors from them and waited 9 months to be installed. The doors have never worked right and I had to have them back for service several times so I could get the doors to close. Two years after I made my final payment they came back and said I owed more money and turned me into collections. I have only had the doors for 2 years and I just had to pay more money to them and 2 of the 3 doors they installed will not open or close. Extremely frustrating and a waste of money. read more

I purchased an opener and door and had problems from day 1. I have contacted them many times with terrible follow through. They will schedule you 2-3 weeks out and charge you for service calls even when their product doesn't work. The sales person even got involved. If your door goes bad they won't come for weeks to look at it and then will tell you nothing is wrong. Finally after 6 service calls and being locked of if my garage 20-30 times i got sick of it and called another company. The door wasn't installed correctly and the genie side mount is a terrible product. We installed a liftmaster 8500W, new springs and ball bearings and we are finally working after 2 years of headaches with Wayne Dalton. I paid them $4800 and the service I received was beyond unacceptable. Use another company, once they sell you a very expensive door and opener they don't care about customer service at all. I know finding good customer service in the time of COVID is hard, but Wayne Dalton has brought it to a new low. They are required to replace a garage door opener on a new home construction. I now have to schedule a 6th service call after waiting for their technician that did not arrive after the last rescheduling. I had to called to ask the status. I was told they are out of stock for parts that are required even though they knew the part would be needed when they scheduled with me. As with the other scheduled service calls, there was not notification, just a no show. I understand supply chains are disrupted, but scheduling when parts aren't available, or not tagging the part for a scheduled install shows a basic lack of inventory control. Plus, each time they were scheduled, they did not show and didn't even provide a courtesy call to update the me the customer. I see they have low ratings on Yelp and don't appear to care. read more

They came out to replace the spring on my golf cart garage 5-6 months ago. They took everything apart and then discovered they did not have the parts they said they had. They were supposed to order the parts and get back to me. They never did. I called them back a couple of times - And was left with: "let me look into that and I'll get back to you" Of course they never did. When my garage door would not open, I first called Wayne Dalton, the company that had installed my door 12 years ago. I made an appointment for 2 days later, which was the first opening that they had. I then called A-1 Garage Door Service to see if they could come any sooner. They said they could come the next morning and that there would be a charge of $39 to diagnose the problem plus whatever it would cost to fix the door. Fortunately, I did not cancel the Wayne Dalton appointment because A-1 quoted me 2 prices to replace the tension bar - over $1500 for a 5-year warranty and $1839 for a lifetime warranty. I then called Wayne Dalton and asked what they would charge to replace the tension bar, and they said $458.90, so I paid A-1 $39 and told the technician I could get 4 tension bars from Wayne Dalton for what he wanted to charge me. Wayne Dalton came the next day and Russ, the technician, was very experienced and went above and beyond, lubing the door and adjusting the Lift Master. read more

We currently bought a garage door and all parts to switch out ourselves. Shortly into our "project" we realized it was much more complicated then we thought due to the weight difference of the two doors. Long story short we put the door up and had called nation serve to come out and service it to loosen the spring. Brian was the service technician and cannot say enough great things about him. From his attention to detail and experience to know what needed to be done all the way to coming back to fix everything and switch out parts we had purchased because he noticed last time they weren't what we needed. He was so personable and knowledgeable and I can't thank him enough for everything he did to get our garage working. Lack of attention to detail. Called them to replace a Wayne Dalton garage door opener that that no longer is in production. They were not able to service it, ok, I understand it's an aged opener. My issue starts with the quoting process that happened on site. Was quoted on a brand name garage door opener and was told that it was wireless so there would be no need to bury the line in the walls. Also was quoted a price on a 7' door, when in actuality it's an 8' door, (I have a tape measure if you needed to borrow it). As well as told that it connects to the internet so that a smart phone can be used to open door remotely. Day of installation, find out that it's an 8' door so there is an up charge for additional rail. As for the wireless, that was a false statement as there is now a wire stapled diagonally across the ceiling. The standard wire is also only x number of feet long, so now the open button is not near the interior door.....but 18 feet from the interior door where the existing wireless button was located. Lastly, the internet connectivity mentioned would come with an additional purchase of hardware so is not native to the garage door opener itself. At the end of the day it was a low ball quote to win the business with none of the proposed features delivered. I didn't stay in the garage to micromanage installation so the end result was a lack luster completed job. There has to be a better service out there. Should have went with the referral from a friend instead of the manufacturer's contractor. read more

I will never do business with them again. They installed my opener and door originally and now needed to replace opener. I was scheduled out more then a week in advance with a window time period. When i called them on install date mid way through time window , i was told they will not make the window but will be a bit late. I was last call of the day. When i challenged that of how i was last call, more then a week in advance...they told me the scheduling put others ahead for routing purposes. I asked to speak with GM Matt M and was put into a VM. When i called the corporate offices, there was no commitment to time of call back or type of resolution. This is very poor service on each and every front and they lose in my book. I'm very disappointed in my second experience with Wayne Dalton Garage doors. I had a really good experience with them about 7-10 years ago but this time was nothing like the first time. My tenant's car rolled into the garage door so we got a quote back in July but my tenant wasn't in a position to pay for the repair at that time. With all the craziness of Covid we weren't able to get the work done until December. The quote went from $264 a panel to $428 a panel. I understand a bit of a price increase due to everything going on in the world. But, almost double in a matter of months?? I called and asked for a small price break and was told they would get back to me. I had to call several times with never receiving a call back. I finally got an answer that they would not give me any discount even though I was a repeat customer and needed 3 panels so I was paying almost $600 more. I was also told if I got the work done I would be reimbursed the $60 trip charge for the estimate in July. By the time I made phone calls and waited in between for call backs and then finally ordered the panels and finally got on the schedule it was April 6th when the work was done. I do give kudos to the man that came and did the work. He was very nice and did a great job. After I paid the remainder of the bill I realized no one ever mentioned taking off the trip charge. During all my exchanges with different employees no one ever mentioned I would have a trip charge to have the work done. I was told the cost of the panels and $155 for labor. Never a mention of a trip charge. On 4/13 I called and inquired about getting the reimbursement I was promised of the $60 charge for a quote. Again, I couldn't get an answer from the person who answers the phone and was told I would be called back. Yep, you guessed it, no call back. I just called them and was told I would not get reimbursed as promised. I am building a new house soon and will need two large garage doors. I will NOT be doing business with Wayne Dalton again. Blaming bad business practice on Covid is getting old. read more

My garage doors stopped working. I originally called a different company (A-1 Garage Repairs) to diagnose the problem and the technician told me that both motors for both doors needed to be replaced and quoted me $900. My dad referred me to Sean of Nation Serve (previously Wayne Dalton) in order to get a second opinion. Sean was able to diagnose the problem with the doors in just a couple minutes and said that my motors are fine and that if the problem continues, it is most likely an electrical problem in my condo. He did NOT charge a service fee. Very knowledgable and very kind. This company has high integrity and smarts and I recommend it above all others!!!!! read more

Wayne Dalton came to service my garage door today. They told me 1-4 pm, but called at 830 am saying they were on the way. So I missed work to run home to be there. I got home and was told it would be 15 minutes 3 times in a row for the tech to arrive. Missing work by the way. When the tech arrived he told me the price of the door was almost twice I was told on the phone. I called the company to seek resolution, they told me it was MY misunderstanding and they weren't responsible for MY mistake AND they were not going to do anything to resolve the issue. I spoke to the manager of service and general manager and neither even acknowledged the inconvenience and mistake by their sales team. So I miss work and charged extra because of THEIR scheduling mistake and pricing mistake yet somehow it's on me. Do NOT go with WAYNE DALTON in Arizona. the garage door and opener were installed by WAYNE DALTON. after several years the motor burnt out and the technician that WAYNE DALTON sent out said it was cheaper to replace the whole system. He removed the tracks and motor and THEN TOLD ME it would be "A FEW DAYS BEFORE " he could get back out with a new door opener. 7 DAYS LATER he showed up 2 hours late and installed the opener, he also advised me how to oil and maintain it. 12 months and TWELVE DAYS LATER the door jumped it's tracks. i called WANE DALTON who told me rather roughly that the unit was not under warranty, that they did not offer information on how to oil or service the unit and that i should have another tech come out to fix the problem. i WAS TO PAY for this however. i called another garage door company who came the same day, tapped once on the rollers and put the door back in place. everything has since worked perfectly. i asked how much, the service guy said all it took was one tap with his hammer and as he was in the area, NO CHARGE !!!! WAYNE DALTON, you not only have lost a customer but i tell everyone in my investment group (over 150 at the last meeting) about your SERVICE and about the other company.
