I'm so happy Waxmi is around for my waxing needs! I cannot imagine going anywhere else. Space is modern, bright, chic and clean. Wency is the sweetest person ever and makes you feel extra comfortable from start to finish. She's also super friendly and chatty, keeping your mind off the fact that she's waxing your bits. This a new and wonderfully designed place! It's very clean and has a chic atmosphere. There is a waiting area with some candy and magazines to enjoy before your appointment. The wax room is well organized and also very clean. There is also a partition between the table and door. There is a paper underwear to wear and a towel to keep yourself decent while waxing. I love how professional everything feels! I went in for a Brazilian appointment and the technician Wenci is amazing! Her technique was quick and painless. I love how she kept talking and guided me through the entire process, even though I've done this like a billion times. Absolutely amazing, fast and efficient! Didn't feel too much pain for the first time because she kept talking to me to keep my mind busy. She was very kind and outgoing. As a wax virgin (now ex!), Wency created an environment that allowed me to relax and surprisingly make me laugh! Quick and efficient, Wency is a waxing goddess and the only person that is allowed to rip hair out of my body via wax! I've been a customer of Wency's for almost a year now and as I said in my previous review she is incredible, marvellous and amazing all combined in one human being. As soon as you walk into the salon you are immediately greeted with a smile, warm welcomes and hugs. Her salon is impeccably clean, with amazing decor as if you're looking straight out of a magazine. She always has candy at the waiting table for individuals who are waiting for their turn to get waxed next. I'd also like to point out that when you book an appointment you are sent a email confirmation as well as a text from Wency just confirming that you are ready and set for your appointment. I absolutely adore these messages where she double checks that you're set for your appointment with smiley faces emojis, it just makes the experience so much more spectacular even before you get into the salon! The waxing rooms are by far the biggest rooms I've personally seen in my 7 years of being waxed. They are very spacious and are extremely spotless, orderly, bright and clean. When you get in the waxing room there is a towel and a throw away thong waiting on the bed. I just want to add that most waxing salons do not provide a throw away thong, I think this is a great bonus when getting waxed as it doesn't make you feel as naked as you already feel. For me personally it makes me feel a lot more comfortable and secure having a nice throw away thong on. Wency's waxing is unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable. You unquestionably feel absolutely no pain when she's waxing you, it's as if she has magic fingers. The wax is the right warm temperature and as soon as she puts a strip on you and waxes away you feel nothing no pain what so ever. I can have a whole conversation with Wency and in 15 minutes it's all done with not an inch of irritation. Wency never double dips (which some waxing salons tend to do, after 7 years you see a lot.) Honestly after going to Wency there is no exceeding her capability to make you feel at home and comfortable. The cleanliness, friendliness, and exquisitely painless Brazilian waxes just make her an overall waxing angel. She is a one woman show and it's amazing to see how much her company has grown since I first started coming to her. I live in the area, and the signage alone caught my eye. I have been looking for a great place to trust with my brows and honestly Wency did an incredible job. Her shop is beautifully and elegantly decorated. She made me feel comfortable, offered a heating pad (A welcome change from the rain outside), refreshing cucumber water, and had a sweet, soft and accommodating demeanor. She was diligent ensuring she shaped my eyebrows properly, there was little to no redness, and it didn't feel rushed at all like some other waxing bars I've been to. Studio is clean with a calming chic decor. Feels like a very high end spa as beds have heating blankets, bathrooms are fully stocked, and everything you could possibly need is provided. Fresh towels and disposable underwear provided for coverage and discretion as your service is being performed. So I've been looking around for a great waxing place since I moved back to Vancouver in 2012. I finally found WAXMI! Wency, the awesome owner and waxer did an amazing job of my eyebrows!
