What is going on with Wawa here 1660 US-22 E, Union, NJ. The clerk is charging me for a cup for ice even when I'm buying a sandwich. He claims ice is no longer free. I travel all over the country and I'm happy Wawa has expanded to many states. It's one of my favorite places to stop and fill my tank and buy a huge bottle of water and a sandwich. Today I still have water in my car so I ordered a sandwich and free cup for ice and the cashier is charging me a cup like I'm getting soda. I have a medical condition I can't drink sodas. Yesterday Feb 6th 2025, stopped by to get a hoogie at around 1am. I regret so much doing so! The lady making the sandwiches made such a horrible product that was wet in grease from the meat and on top of that it had so much sauce in it. Well a few hours later I started with a stomach ache so bad that wouldn't allow me to sleep, it started getting worse and started throwing up, i spent the whole night in the bathroom with diarrhea and vomit. There is one guy who is always working and is respectful. The rest of the staff just plays games and do as little as possible while they are working. Whenever I make a mobile order for pickup. No matter what time I select, my order is NEVER ready. Lastly it would be nice to not have the staff say, "oh it's you again." Especially if I'm just shopping and they should be WORKING. This location is still my favorite. The area has undergone continued new construction. Since my last review, there's now a brand new hotel and popeyes next door/walking distance. The main downside is the increase in traffic, which is just as much expected as it is annoying (the usual entry/exit route 22 shenanigans). That aside, I like the separate counter that contains two self-checkout kiosks. The lines can become long quickly, especially with only one cashier all of the time. The Union Wawa is a disgrace to the community it services and frequently deceives its consumer. It is poorly managed by General manager Lou. Today 12/4/24 I placed an order fir my staff via UberEats with WaWa. The order consisted of 4 hot items (2 sandwiches & 2 soups), 3 cold items (1 orange juice, 1ginger ale, 1 Wawa half gallon tea) and 2 shelf items (2 bags of Dorito). The driver obtained the order from Wawa. Upon delivery to my school the driver left one bag containing 4 item. The school has a camera at the entrance and shows the actual delivery drop off in its entirety. The security team was asked about an additional bag and they stated that the driver only provided one. I went to the UberEats app and notified them about the "Missing Items." Uber informed me via chat that could not refund the items and to contact WaWa for the refund. Wawa's Supervisor Jamell was informed about my issue and I informed him that I wanted to come to the location to obtain my refund for the items not delivered. Jamell requested arrival time and I provided him 3:30pm. Jamell informed me that he would not be present at that time. He then proceeded to notify General Manager Lou. Lou rudely and dismissively said "You purchased the items through a 3rd party and there's nothing we do". I asked if I could come to the store to obtain the items. Lou replied "No" I explained to Lou that I am a homeowner in the area and that this is an ongoing issue for this specific location. Lou became defensive and stated "Take it up with corporate ". The Corporate representative Sean stated that Wawa is not able to process the refund even if they are at fault for not providing the items that should have been pulled from the refrigerator and shelf. Sean then advised me to contact Uber. Uber representative Sucy stated that the refund could not be processed and that she would forward the issue to management. The manager identified is Andrea. Wawa in Union is the primary culprit robbing the community and not remedying a solution to its consumer. They frequently utilize this practice and rely on its 3rd party barter as an escape to steal from the community. I will be filing a police report against Wawa and Uber. I will then be filing two separate petitions against them both. One customer may seem small, yet this is done frequently and the community deserves fair policies. If the goods were not delivered Wawa should not profit. Uber is also at fault as they continually are aware that the merchants have poor practices and yet they renew their contracts annually. This is robbery and I will report this to the civil courts of Union, NJ or which ever courts will fine both parties for their fraudulent actions against the community. These services are created to employ, provide goods and develop a relationship. Today you developed a concerned citizen who was robbed by giants who take advantage of the community. read more

NJ is known for a few things. Good wings, best bagels around, pizza, and Wawa. I came here today as I was doing a client visit on Route 22, and this place has it all. There is ample parking, in the front and the back of the building. There is a PNC Bank ATM, and a NJ Lottery machine. The bathrooms were very clean, and their selection of drinks was plentiful. Their touch-screen computers were functional and I ordered the Travis Shorti with swiss. I am a fan of spice and I selected to add jalapenos. The machine gave me my ticket and I went to the self service lane to check out. My sandwich was ready 3 minutes later, yes I did time them, as it is a crucial part of the experience. My sandwich was made to my specifications and was fresh and delicious. Keep up the great work Wawa. I will be back. read more

What's Wawa? Jersey folks love Wawa. Welp to be a connivence spot this chain offers an array of items from chips, drinks fountain drinks, etc. My go to order is the tuna on wheat roll. You are able to make your selection of add-ons via the kiosk - perfect. Oh and many locations offer their own gas pumps. Now in Jersey we don't pump our own gas- love it.
