I highly recommend!

I'll be honest, the location isn't exactly ideal. The area is sketchy, and the place itself is…read moredefinitely a hole-in-the-wall. My advice? Go in, get your food, and head out. When you walk in, grab a number from the right-hand side. They'll call your number when it's time to order, and once your food is ready, you'll head to the register on the left to pay. Now, about the food. This place is part deli, part liquor store, part dessert shop, and somehow they also give away random fresh bread. I know that sounds like a lot, but stick with me. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and every sandwich I've had there has been delicious. My personal favorite is the pastrami on rye with coleslaw and Russian dressing, served warm. The pastrami is tender and flavorful, the rye bread is fresh, and the combination of the creamy coleslaw and tangy Russian dressing takes it to another level. It's one of those sandwiches that has you thinking about it long after you've finished eating. The portions are huge & you can easily split one sandwich into two meals or share it with someone else. While the prices are a little higher than what you'd expect from a deli, the quality and portion sizes make it worth every penny. They accept cash and all major credit cards. They also cater & sell sandwich platters, so keep that in mind!! If you're looking for atmosphere, this probably isn't the place. If you're looking for an outstanding sandwich, it absolutely is!!

As a Midwesterner, I had no idea that it wasn't the same ground beef/bbq sauce concoction that we make. The roast beef and swiss Sloppy Joe was AMAZING! I have never had anything like it before. It was so great, that I made him stop in before we left town and we got two more for the road. I had mine with turkey and cheddar, which didn't matter because the coleslaw and Russian dressing mix is the star of the show!!!! I enjoyed this so much that I am going to try to replicate it at home in Minnesota! If we ever get back to Summit again, you can be sure that we will be stopping by again for the BEST SANDWICH EVER!!!!!

Krauszer's has a few locations across Newark, but this particular one is my favorite. Why? Because it's never busy and the workers are all very courteous. The main guy with the mustache (forgive me, I forget his name) greatly appreciates every customer, so I will always go out of my way to support businesses like these. I usually get their honey turkey spinach wraps--always fresh and very affordable! They don't have in-store seating, so it will be takeout at this location. **TIP: The made-to-order items come with a free bottle of water or a can of soda.

USEFUL INFO -There is ample parking -At 11 am the deli portion of the store opens up -Lottery is available to buy -If smoking is your thing, they have a wide variety that you can pick up. -Wide selection of snacks After taking care of some errands today I decided to stop by and pick up a sandwich from the deli. As usual, the two guys behind the counter, Charlie and Neil, have always been friendly and helpful. Today I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich which will put you back about $6.50. The portion size is fair and I would say they don't skimp out on value. If you are not a fan of chicken, their Italian sandwich is satisfying as well. FINAL THOUGHTS In my opinion, this convenient store has always been a staple of my town and really serves its purpose well. I regularly see locals and classmates from my high school stop by and I really think it speaks to the reputation this place has. Although this store may not get enough credit from an online perspective, I believe from a local standpoint the regular clientele speak for themselves. This may not be a high-end 7/11 or Wawa, but it'll get the job done.

I ordered the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich and was just given a plain chicken sandwich. No pepperJack cheese that's supposed to come on the sandwich and no bbq sauce, which I requested. It was listed on the box. I also ordered the collards and mac n cheese. Now my expectations were kind of high going into this meal bc of the celebrity name attached, and boy what a let down. The Mac n cheese was very creamy with some collards mixed in it but the cream to noodle ratio was off! It felt like a noodle cream soup Lol. So the first strike was the sandwich, the second strike was the noodle soup aka the mac n cheese with collard greens... I don't think I want to wait for a third strike... especially when the sandwich gave Chick-fil-A ... I won't be ordering from here again.

First off they offer boar's head deli meat which is by far top of the line. I've ate sandwiches for a year now from this place and every time it's never disappointed. The best part of the sandwiches besides the deli meat is the bread. They get their bread from Texeira's bakery and it's delivered twice a day. The bread is never stall and always fresh. The deli offers you whole wheat sliced, rye, portuguese roll, white or wheat. Parking for the place is easy to find and it's easy to get to. One deli sandwich is usually around $4. They offer tons of variety and great taste at a great price.
