Main St Market in Smyrna is quickly becoming a local favorite of mine. On my first visit, I stopped…read morein just before closing and was impressed with how friendly and attentive the service was, even at the end of the day. I tried the wings and a cod sandwich--both had good flavor, though they seemed previously frozen, and the cod was a little chewy. The wings would've been perfect if I had asked for them fried hard. Dessert that night was a slice of cake that was absolutely delicious. Since then, I've gone back twice and left just as satisfied. For breakfast Friday morning, I had eggs over easy with home fries and bacon--everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Saturday's lunch was a massive Italian sub (or "hoagie" as they call it in Delaware) that was so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Their baked desserts are amazing--my personal favorite is the yellow cake with chocolate icing. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the food keeps me coming back. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Smyrna.

Capriotti's in Smyrna knows how to do a cheesesteak right. I ordered mine with onions, peppers, and…read moreprovolone, and from the first bite it was clear this wasn't just a quick sandwich -- it was carefully crafted. The steak was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned without being overly salty, and every bite had that satisfying balance of meat and cheese. The provolone melted beautifully, coating the steak in a rich, slightly sharp creaminess. The peppers and onions were sautéed just enough to bring out their sweetness while still keeping a little bite, which added great texture and contrast. And the roll deserves a shout-out too -- soft and fresh on the inside, with just enough chew to hold everything together without falling apart. On top of the food, the service was warm and efficient, making the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Capriotti's has definitely mastered the art of the cheesesteak, and this location proves why they're such a beloved name.
