Plenty of parking in their lot, including curbside pickup spots and 2 drive through windows. Inside was clean and this is the first McDonald's I've been to with the kiosk ordering system. You could still order at the counter but I wanted to try the kiosk. It was quite intuitive and I could customize my order easily. I wanted to try the big arch so I ordered the meal with large fries and coke. The sandwich was ok, I still prefer the simplicity of the quarter pounder, but it was good. 15$ for the meal is a bit pricey for fast food, but I guess that's a sign of the times. The girl that delivered the food at the counter was very friendly and personable. Everything was hot and the fries as usual were delicious.

I got in the drive-thru line to place my order. I wanted to try the new spicy crisp chicken sandwich so I opted for the Medium size meal with fries and a Diet Coke (I'm working to reduce my overall sugar intake). After placing my order I moved up to the first window to pay for my meal and the young lady at the window never greeted me, repeated my order back to me, or repeated my total. She just stuck her hand out the window for my money so I repeated my order and asked her what my total was. From here, I moved to the next window to pick up my food. My soda apparently had a hole in the cup but the server quickly noticed this and replaced it with another soda. I checked my bag to confirm that I had the right sandwich and fries. What I failed to do was confirm my fries were hot. I was irritated that I had cold fries to go with my hot sandwich but pressed for time, I let it go. I did enjoy the spicy chicken sandwich from McDonald's. It had the right amount of sauce on it and a pickle.

My son and I got there around 11:20pm and they were packed up and closed for the night (even though the hours say they close at MIDNIGHT). We were hungry so went across the street to Lucky Star Food Market. This used to be a 7-Eleven many many years ago. I always see this market when I'm waiting for the 36 Trolley and never went inside until now. It's a nice little market with about anything you could think of inside. They also sell cooked food. My son and I decided to give the food a try. I ordered: Cheeseburger Platter with French Fries -- $5.50 Chicken Nugget Platter with French Fries -- $5.50 3 Chicken Wings -- $3.75 My order came to $14.75 and I also purchased two TastyKake products at $1.00 each and a bag of potato chips at $1.89 The cheeseburger platter was delicious even though the burger was larger than the bun it was on. They didn't use a frozen burger. The French Fries were not fried too hard. My son loved his chicken nugget platter, except they forgot his honey mustard on the side. The chicken wings were another story. They were rubbery and hard to pull apart to eat. They didn't look right. I'll stick to getting my chicken wings from Asian Cuisine near my mother's house. My son and I agreed that we would return if we every got hungry super late at night. This place is apparently open 24 hours. It's in the hood, so be careful.

I wanted to find the best cheesesteak possible without detouring too much from my route and without going into Center City. I mapped it out, scoured reviews, and set my heart (and my GPS) to Leo's Steak Shop. It was easy enough to navigate to from the airport and there was plenty of street parking nearby. You could definitely call and order ahead, but I didn't have a long wait since the lunch rush was likely over. They were still busy and I probably waited 15 minutes for my sandwich. I went with a large cheesesteak which was insanely large. This could easily be split between two grown men. Lucky for me, I had leftovers the next day. I also snagged a bag of chips from the giant selection and a soda for the road. There are no tables inside and it was winter so I took it to go. Even though I hadn't eaten all day, I held off until I got to my hotel about 30 minutes away where I proceeded to devour half of this overstuffed cheesy monstrosity of a sandwich in the front seat of my car (had to wait to check in). I was in shaved steak heaven for the rest of the day. Then after a night of drinking with my buddies, I woke up to the second half in the fridge and proceeded to devour round two of this steak bomb which at that point was the only thing I had eaten for the last 24 hours. Next time I fly into PHL, I know exactly where I'm going.
