Went here for a quick stop with my friends. I had never been to a Wawa and they kept raving about how for a gas station, their food was good so I was excited. It was about 12AM, my friend pumped some gas while the rest of us went to the bathroom. The women's bathroom left everything to be desired. What a mess! I had to wait for the only other stall to be vacant as the one that was, was full of paper and other stuff. We came out and ordered food, I had a steak and cheese, so did one of my other friends as he said they are usually very good. Keyword, usually because not this time. My steak and cheese was dry and I could not find the cheese I requested. Overall, the store was clean, it was busy, a lot of people in the parking lot that were just parked there. Not sure I'd be going back, at least not to this location. read more

Right Hear - RICHMOND - Crowd was "Tough" - Nevertheless, nobody gave me a hard time - This location is really busy and you better have your order ready. You get the feel that you are still in Northern Virginia for a touch more. This may be the "Most Southern" Wawa in the Commonwealth of Virginia - Hence, that's why I stopped. I've been to several Wawas in the area and this one is by far the most sketchy. There always seem to be people hanging out in the parking lot, which is a bit off putting, and the cashiers are not super friendly. Wa-wa walk on in to Wawa for quick bite and a fill up! For a busy Wawa, right off the interstate, this convenient store is remarkably clean. But I was really impressed by the friendly service. It was Hoagiefest at Wawa, so I ordered a couple of subs for my mom. The kiosk was easy peasy, after giving the screen a few taps, my sandwiches were being prepared as I finished picking up a couple other things. The lady behind the counter was super nice, and the checkout clerk was just as kind. The subs are meaty enough, but I ordered extra! They were made to order and delish! My mom loved hers too! There's a grab and go case full of salads, sandwiches and snacks. The hot case has the best breakfast sandwiches, English muffins, bagels -I like the bacon, egg and cheese croissants! And the gas prices are some of the lowest around! read more

The most poorly maintained Wawa I've been to in the 20 years since I was a Wawa employee myself. Things are dirty, broken, outta stock, in simply disgusting condition . The lady's room was as creepy and filthy as a public latrine at a run down park. Actual spiders in webs in the corners, toilet paper all over the floor, a plunger laying between the stalls, anything that could've been ripped off the walls has been. I have more to say but I think you get the point. It is... Not good. read more

Not sure what I was expecting when I pulled into Wawa. I've heard nothing but great things about it. The place was packed when we entered. People exiting with fresh made sandwiches. All I wanted was coffee. I heard the coffee was great. It wasn't. The build up was too much. I'm a coffee snob and I don't know why I thought great coffee would come pouring out of a carafe that's been sitting there for god know how long. They had a ton of choices though. Specialty drinks as well. I didn't get a sandwich because I wasn't that hungry. You could have talked me into a donut, if the case didn't looked so picked over and empty. All and all, not an overwhelming good experience. May give it another go on another trip. read more

Pulled off the highway with my favorite pizza sub in mind and yet again they left off both sauces I requested including the pizza sauce that actually makes it a pizza sub. So now I'm angry holding a piece of bread and pepperoni which is worthless. This is twice in a row at 2 separate locations in 2 days, will never get a chance at a 3rd as I'm tired of dealing with their constant failures in simply adding what is selected and paid for on a sandwich. I noticed it was very skinny and light weight for a large sub and of course they also put less than half of the normal amounts of meats as well. I would honestly avoid this location at all costs. I was driving through yesterday and needed some gas. Opened up GasGuru and let it point me to the nearest, cheapest gas - that was this Wawa by a good margin. I pulled in with my dog and got out to start the gas pumping. I was immediately approached by someone asking me for money I told them no, and they left. I got the gas going and took my dog out of the car to let her use the bathroom. I was then approached by a second person asking me for money. I again told them no and walked my dog over to the side lawn - this person followed me, telling me that I surely had something I could give them. I told them I did not and to leave me alone, and they left. Walked back to my car, got my dog settled back in and a THIRD person approached me asking for money. I told them no.. I wanted to leave right then, but badly had to use the bathroom and get something to keep me awake and alert the rest of the drive. A spot had opened up immediately outside the front door, so I drove up and parked. Set my dog up with a full bowl of water, locked the doors, and headed inside. Quickly used the bathroom, came out, and ordered a quesadilla off one of the screens. While I'm waiting I can see a man circling my car, looking in the windows - I have Christmas gifts everywhere from my holiday travels, along with my dog inside. I feel nervous, but also don't want to just leave while they are making a hot meal. I pay and wait, and then grab the quesadilla and head out - the man immediately approaches me and tells me to give him my phone. I say "excuse me, what?" He repeats his demand, I say no - and told him to get away from me - at this point a good bit bothered by all of this. A man pulls up in an SUV next to me as this is happening and parks next to my car. I get into my car and immediately lock the doors, then try to get my dog settled so I can leave. The man walks away, but the driver in the new vehicle rolls down his window and says loudly to me that he was going to f*** me up. I immediately put my car in reverse and got out as quickly as I could. I pulled over when I felt I was a safe distance away and tried to settle down. Opened my quesadilla, which turned out to be warmed meat and unmelted cheese on a warmed tortilla - nothing resembling a cooked quesadilla. I ended up throwing it out. What a ridiculously bad experience. I was over 6 ft tall and had a dog, so I shudder to think of how anyone else would have been treated. Obvious the staff and/or owners do not care if they have let this place get to this state. Avoid. read more

We came in for a cool drink and left empty handed, along with about a half dozen other folks. The employees were not so nice, maybe because it was hot and lots of people wanted to purchase the fountain drinks. The store was a little messier than other locations around Richmond but the food looked and smelled consistent. I was told I could wait for ice to refill or try another store. I chose the latter. It's a sad day for me to write a bad review about this place. However, it seems as if they'll hire anyone there days. I was up at the wawa on west broad street in Richmond and they charged my card three times and kept telling me it declined it yet it charged me three seperate times. The "manager" couldn't come up with a solution even though I could clearly show her there was an issue on there end. Needless to say I ended up leaving with $0 in my account, no gas and no cigarettes. It still says pending on my account and I'm now having to get my bank involved. MUCH better than the west broad location, i got a breakfast hoagie with roasted beef and it was great, i got the mocha coffee was was delicious and had a large soft pretzel for later which was delicious my beef with this establishment if you are going be serving a full breakfast, provide some chairs and tables. no one can truly enjoy a hoagie and coffee holding onto the steering wheel that being said, i wuv u wawa ;) read more

This isn't the nicest Wa-Wa that I have been to but it was clean and had a decent selection. Hubs & I both got hoagies. I ordered a hot one with chicken, spinach & tomato sauce. It was actually ready before my hubby's and he ordered a traditional cold hoagie. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Really disappointed with this location. Every time I come in here it's always something. For someone (like myself) that works for Wawa at a different location, I can't believe the things I've seen here. Watched a deli worker rinse a smoothie blender in the hand sink, which, if you work with food, you know that's a big no no. I guess one day they also ran out of classics, so they decided to give me a shortie roll, and a second one with the end cut off. Almost everyone I go in there, the snacks are over an hour out of code. Bathrooms are always dirty and there's always someone outside harassing customers for money. Wawa is such a good go-to spot for a quick lunch or snack. I discovered their store brand drinks are pretty darn good... I love the green tea and mango tea right now. I managed to stay away from the big soft pretzel today MIRACLE! I had to pretend they werent right there on the counter looking at me! This location is always super busy with lots of people. I think its popular because theres nothing else quick with cheap gas nearby and its just off the highway. read more

Wa Wa is always at the top of my list due to the fact that I can get CHEAP GAS and a GREAT sub/sandwich all at the same time. I have never had a bad sub here and the fact that you can order all the trimmings via a touch screen makes it so that there are rarely any errors. I love the fried ravioli and the big pretzels at check out as well. They just do it right, period. OH, the BIG thing I learned is that the ATM here does NOT charge any fees....ever! I never go here for gas, but it's a good place to stop in for a snack or quick meal. Parking is always available and staff is friendly.

Fast and friendly staff! My wife or I pick up Subs from here every once and a while and have never had an unpleasant visit! She gets the Italian on white roll and I get the turkey or ham and Swiss on a white roll! So good, the bread is some of the best I have had! read more

Just at Richond City-Henrico Co line @ I-95, very busy WaWa, sometimes overrun with customers. Staff & Mgmt do remarkable job of keeping everyone happy! Great front end customer service - my experience with day shift mostly. Busy more like a store in NoVa - they do the best they can keeping it clean and well-run. Lot could use more cleanup and keeping fresh windshield cleaner, but hey they still do better than any other of the gas-marts in the area. Wild & wooly customer base at times, expect panhandlers, but overall a great gas shop. read more
