Great food and great people. HOWEVER, absolutely no enforcement of masks. If you have a mask hanging from your ears that is enough. Nothing is ever said to the countless idiots with their noses and even mouths hanging out. Please do something about this so people can shop safely again. It shouldn't be too much to ask for the managers to enforce proper mask wearing. read more

Do you even know what a Wawa is? ... No! 7-11, QuikChek you were all good in your time, but finally Wawa has invaded North Jerz. This location is extremely clean, big, and has a friendly staff. If you want pre-made sandwiches, freshly prepared sandwiches, coffee, or any kind of snacks you can think of by all means stop in. A lot of people that have never experienced a Wawa just don't get it but when you will soon learn. Just have faith. read more

I'm a big fan of WaWa's. Usually has fairly clean bathrooms and a nice convenience store selection. I even order a sandwich from time to time. Their quality surpasses Subway at even a better price. Some also have gas stations connected to it (.s this location does). Prices are fair and lot is well lit. read more

This is hands-down the best Wawa in NJ. They're so incredibly spacious and efficient, aisles are always clean and they make great subs and sandwiches. One of my fave places to get quality breakfast for under $3 (turkey sausage, egg & cheese on pretzel bread is my fave). They have premade items, made-to-order selections, and the usual chips, dips and array of snacks. They're also 24/7 so you can stop in any time of the day for great eats and beverages. Oh, and there is a gas station outside too that usually has much better prices than other stations in the area. read more

Being from North Jersey, I was only exposed to Wawa a few months ago, on a trip down to Philadelphia. My boyfriend told me repeatedly that we needed to stop at one during our time there. We did, and it was great. Fast forward a few months, when I remembered that they built a Wawa in North Jersey! I decided to try it out because they seriously have the cheapest gas I've seen in my area. For a busy road during rush hour, their service is amazing. My tank was filled in mere minutes, the gas is great*, and I was back out on the road before I knew it. I stopped inside once to buy a newspaper, and it appeared to be very clean and well-organized. When the line grew to about 4 people, they quickly opened another register to get the line moving. I haven't tried the food yet, but I'm just waiting for an excuse to do so. They also play pretty enjoyable music over the speakers, for whatever that's worth. *I'm one of those people who think that their car "likes" and "doesn't like" certain brands of gas. I'm very particular about it. Fortunately for me (and my wallet), my car seems to love the Wawa gas. read more

I enjoy getting gas here cause the quality and price are incredible. While you're getting gas you can also grab a snack, sandwich, iced latte etc. Which always is pretty good. The ATM, which is PNC bank has no atm fee so I always find myself looking for a wawa due to convenience and affordability. read more

In the past, when I said I wanted to go to WAWA land it had something to do with shrooms and such... Now-a-days to go to WAWA land all I have to do is drive up 280 and stop in their parkinig lot. This place is conveniently located one exit from my work and gets my respect due to the fact that they charge the same for gas (chargeing or cashing). They deserve to be rewarded for that! Keep in mind it is a gas station, but not just any gas station... a gas station of magical wonders. The sammie line is electronic, so just punch in your order and soon enough they call your order. Efficient, Clean, Friendly & AWAWAesome... read more

Everyone knows the wonders of Wawa. But this WaWa location in particular is heaven on earth. Located conveniently off 80, it's a nice big clean store. Their drinks are exceptionally crafted. Service is fast in the store, as well as the gas station area. This WaWa trumps all other WaWa locations!!! read more

Anthony the gas attendant should not be asking younger women from their cars while giving them gas about their political views and harassing them when they don't agree with him. read more

Competitively priced gas--same price cash or credit. Polite, efficient attendants. Clean store with friendly helpful service. Pretty good coffee that seems to be brewed regularly so it's fresh. Decent enough sandwiches--not epic, but certainly on par with Subway, if not better. Very convenient to both 280 and 46, with plenty of ways in and out. Ample parking. Great to have a Wawa in North Jersey. read more

I get why people love Wawa. The coffee is good, there are so many choices for packaged food - from sammiches to salads to fruit. And the touch screen ordering for the deli is GENIUS! I am super picky about condiments so it's awesome that I can just choose what I want and not have to worry if it gets lost in translation. The gas station attendants are super nice (they still pump your gas at service stations in NJ, I though Oregon was the only state that still did that.) Yay Wawa! Thanks for making my stay in NJ just a little more tolerable. read more

I love Wawa's! I wish they had these in California! It's a gas station, convenient store, and kind of a deli all rolled in one. They have the typical food mart stuff along with fresh fruits, on-the-go containers, and fresh sandwiches! If 7-Eleven had a gas station and a Subway, I would wish we had a Sub-Eleven! A one-stop shop for late nights or late nights that turn into early mornings ;) There's something for everyone. Whether it be a drink, fresh fruits, cheese/crackers, snack, pretzel, donut, you name it! Wawa rocks! read more

If you like efficiency, cleanliness, quick service and excellent sandwiches take a pit stop at this Wawa just off 280 or 46, depending on which way you arrive. The sandwich makers are friendly and fast and the sandwich is always as ordered. Speaking of ordering, there is nothing better than ordering a sandwich (and sometimes some piping hot cookies) from a touch screen.* You hold the fate of your sandwich in your own hands and the options are never ending. Step up to the podium and create it the way you want. If you don't know the system, it's easy. Touch screen ordering, take the printout to the register, pay, bring paid receipt back to the counter, get called, take sandwich(es) and stuff your face while washing it down with some Wawa diet iced tea lemonade. ____________ *Okay, there are plenty of better things, but this is pretty awesome. read more

Got a roasted chicken hero and a gobbler (carved turkey, gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce). Both made it back to Montclair still hot and not soggy. I'm a huge fan of Wawa sandwiches. read more

I grew up in North Jersey. As like any good Jersey boy or girl when summer came around you go to the Shore. No this is not gonna be a story of how we are nothing like the clowns on that show. (We're not by the way) This is a story of how you knew you where down the shore when you started to see the Wawas on Route 35 or once you got off the Parkway. Wawa is a PA based company that made its way through Maryland, Philly, and stopped in South Jersey. For some reason it never made its way past the Driscole Bridge. A few short years ago while riding up 280 North I got off at the end in Parsippany and I saw it. Wait? Is it true? Are those wonderful fresh made sandwiches and tons of coffee varieties available a mere 30 toll free minutes away from me? Well golly yes it is! Oh let me tell you these places are great. Little pre-made breakfast sizzlies, hard boiled eggs, and plenty of other snacks to meet your needs. Sodas, water, and even fuel for your car. Honestly all the Wawas are great but this one being the closest to me makes it my favorite. Welcome to North Jersey Wawa. Its been long time coming. read more

I LOVE Wawa. Having a Wawa in North Jersey is my dream come true, especially since it's dangerously close to a few of my accounts off 280. This one has a nice big parking lot, ample gas pumps and the inside is big and clean. The lines always move fast, everything is stocked and of course the food is delicious. Hope to finally see more of these in North Jerz! read more

I come here whenever I'm near the area just for the banana smoothie (no whipped cream) w/ the immunity protein ($1 extra). I've had the breakfast chicken burrito. It was ok. It's not something I would order again. However, my husband finds that and the steak burrito to be satisfactory. I've also tried the buffalo chicken balls in the hot food area near the register and it was tasty. The customer service is always great. read more

See all

Damn you 287 traffic keeping me from the wonders of the Wawa. I was so happy when they opened up I can't even explain. So they have gas, and it's pretty moderately priced whenever I've been there. The service is always pretty fast and pleasant--but the fun is in the store. This is what convenience stores should be! Clean, efficient, chock full o goodness at all times. I don't often order hot food from the Wawa but the few times I have (hangover special) it's always been good. You get to order via touchscreen, which is cool cuz who really wants to talk to someone anyway and describe all the little weirdo things you do or don't want on your sandwich....would I like to add a warm chocolate chip cookie onto my order? Heck yes I would.... I do love their coffee as well....as I'm no longer drinking it daily, I will stop in on occasion and grab a cup to treat myself. I like that they have all the different crazy creamers available as well as a multitude of coffee flavors to choose from. The bar is big enough so a bunch of people can be making their coffee at all times. What cracks me up is that for years working at Starbucks we could never keep that stupid condiment bar clean, but the Wawa condiment bar is pretty much spotless all the time. They have an excellent selection of pre-made foods and platters to take with you, like hardboiled eggs, or fruit and protein plates (whole wheat bagel, pb, grapes, cheese), cottage cheese, yogurt, pudding, hummus w dipping things. There's candy, there's cupcakes, there's a whole section devoted to tastycake? or hostess...one of the two I try to stay away cuz it could be my downfall. I like their big pretzels that they stock up by the register...they're always good to chew on. Again the staff inside is always pleasant and happy. Even as much as I like the new 7-11 that opened up in Lake Hiawatha this place is really the poster-child for what convenience stores should be. Always clean, always stocked, always friendly. loveyou Wawa read more

I fill up my gas here weekly as it is conveniently located off of rt 46 and by other highways. If I have to wait for gas its never long since there are 3 rows with 2 sides to fill up gas. There are a lot of parking spaces & I have stopped inside the shop and generally it is stocked with the usual snacks and drinks and their own personal menu. read more

Always have pleasant people there. I dropped a $20 and the manager returned it to me because another customer saw me drop it. I pay same for credit as cash. This is my fas station. Ps... sandwiches are fabulous!! Love my Wawa!!! read more

Love. Ok, look. I'm not one of those people who are in love with Wawa and get into deep arguments about why it's the best. South Jersey, calm down, ok? I still think that Wawa is just the same as, lets say.. a QuickCheck. I'll give you this- Wawa has the best iced tea. Yes. Nonetheless, I'm still excited that we actually have a Wawa up here. And the gas service was really great here. I was in and out in literally 3 minutes to fill up my tank and the attendants were really nice and friendly. At other gas places, it takes 10 minutes of waiting to get your gas. Good job. read more

I LOVE WAWA!!! I was so happy to see them start opening up in our area and started to do my happy dance. I only know of 2 other Wawa (Paramus and Kearny). I'll chose Wawa EVERYTIME over 7-Eleven and Quick Chek. It's ALWAYS clean, organized and the staff is super friendly. If I ever see a Wawa I'm the first person to say pull over there's a Wawa. OPEN more Wawas in Northern NJ...specifically Jersey City This location has gas pumps which is Awesome. The gas prices are pretty good. read more

Gas prices and all merchandise is perfectly ok. This review is about the older Asian lady that works there. Happened to me at least 4 times on separate occasions but twice today. I go to pay with cash for whatever I bought and she will purposely not give you back the coin change. She crunches up the cash slightly pretending that there are coins under it and gives it to you expecting you too put it in your pocket or something. I don't care about 12 cents or something small but today she jipped me 85 cents. How does she not think I won't notice 85 f*****g cents?!?!? Be wary of her. read more

I really like the coffee, stop in almost every morning even if it's a little out of the way. The Subs are fresh and made fast. The staff is always nice and accommodating. They have gas too at a fair price read more

I grew up in South Jersey where Wawa is omnipresent like Starbucks is too NYC. I LOVE Wawa. And I love that Wawa is expanding into North Jersey. Wawa... please keep growing in North Jersey. You're like home to me. read more

Okay - I know. I was too harsh on my last review of this place. I just really hate mayo and they've never made that mistake again. Sandwiches are fine, location is great. Gas is wonderful. It's a Wawa, what do you want? read more

Reasonable gas prices and a huge convenient store. Seems like the place where the locals hangout on weekends. Sandwiches are hit or miss, though I guess it all depends on how you dress it up. I've only ordered a handful, yet all of the ingredients appeared to be fresh. read more

Wow is all I have to say. A gas station with a convenience that deals up sandwiches that good?! Completely blown away and am fortunate to live close to it. It's a pretty typical Wawa but there really aren't many Wawas in North Jersey. They sell gas and they always seem to have some of the most reasonable prices in the area. It's a pretty busy spot as it's very conveniently located right off 280 so it's easy on and easy off. I will give this particular location major props for being open during Hurricane Sandy and, for the most part, always having gas. Yes, the lines were incredibly long but it was still one of the only places in the area open and operating. I was able to get a much needed fill-up here during the Hurricane. It's definitely a good and convenient spot. read more
