This Jersey Mike's is hit or miss. It's always best when you go in, order your sandwich, and watch them make it fresh. Online orders have been a different story. I've had missing items, incorrect orders, and sandwiches that don't meet the usual Jersey Mike's quality. The location is in an extremely busy shopping complex next to Chipotle, so parking can be a nightmare. When ordering in person, the store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is fresh. Military, police officers, educators, and students should mention it at the register for a discount. If you order often, download the app the rewards are generous, and you can earn free mini sandwiches fairly quickly. Overall, I recommend this location, but I'd stick to ordering in person for the best experience. read more

So we place the same order every time through the app for Shore Points (#14 The Veggie and #13 The Original Italian). The WO shop is consistent with sandwich quality. The bread and sandwich ingredients are fresh. Only once did they mess up our order, but I called when I realize it and they remade the sandwich - no problem. Pick up is easy. Only possible issue is finding a parking spot if you're trying to get one close to the shop. Otherwise, you'll need to park in the larger lot and do a frogger. read more

First time going to Jersey Mike's. The service was good: they tended to us quickly and staff seemed to have a good workflow. -big kahuna cheese steak: delicious. The jalapenos were not spicy but gave it a good flavor. -chipotle chicken cheese steak: the chicken tasted a bit sweet as if it had bbq sauce which I didn't expect. The chicken was juicy and overall flavor was very good. It's a bit pricey considering they are casual sandwiches but on the other hand they are larger than other sandwich places, higher quality meat and very good flavor. I've been here a few times the past two years. During this pandemic, they are open and taking phone or app order, or simply going in person to place your order. The staffs here are always friendly and polite. I never have an issue redeeming a coupon. Regarding the food, I always get a hot sandwich. My recent order, I got the cheesesteak. So delicious! It's a little pricey but definitely worth the money. They recently installed a barrier between customers and the staffs. They are definitely taking all the precaution measures to ensure everyone's safety. read more

Even when you pay extra for extra meat, the sandwich is anorexic. This location doesn't live up to the reputation of Jersey Mike's. I've been a loyal customer since there was only the one "Mike's Subs" in Point Pleasant. When they franchised, the quality dropped overall, but not nearly as badly as at this one. read more

I was starving and I happen to be nearby, so stopped in. Immediately I was impressed with the customer service. The owner, Jim, greeted me and offered a joke. The line was semi long, but the staff made my sandwich swiftly with a smile. I realized that Jersey Miles's Subs are also serving the Denver area, where I live. The deli and cheese is freshly cut to order, the way it should be. I ordered the Turkey and Provolone GIANT sub, and even sharing it with my wife was a tall task to finish. I would say a regular sized sub is plenty for two, unless you are a giant yourself. The sub was quite fresh, tasty and filling. This place feels more like a one off family owned deli than a franchise. Great place for sandwiches, hot or cold. It's located in the same parking lot as Whole Foods with ample parking. read more

First time to any Jersey Mike. Decided to try because see many yelper's enjoy other locations.. First I was going next door and seen this over in the corner so came here. Nice little eatery. Not a lot of choices but enough to be fulfilled and satisfied from hot too cold subs. Little bit of up best music playing in the air make this idea for after school or just lounging eating. I went with the number 17. Cheesey streak w/onions and peppers. Not my best sandwich ever. But definitely one of the better cheese steaks places I've had in North Jersey. Guys I wouldn't even bother ordering online. The staff here is so attentive and quick. I was in and out in about 5-7 minutes with 2 sandwiches. The place is small and I can see if you miss it in the plaza. It's tucked away in a tiny corner around the other side of Chipotle. I enjoy Jersey Mike's wraps; I haven't gotten anything else besides that. At this particular location I know for a fact they have the spinach wrap. They do have wheat and white, but I enjoy the green! Jersey Mike's is known for their hot and cold subs. To be real honest, this franchise can be a bit overpriced. At the end of the day, 'Subway' is just as fulfilling at a lower cost, they just don't have spinach wraps.The toppings are selective at Jersey Mike's, they have the basics; lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, banana peppers, mayo, mustard, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. The West Orange locations customer service is not great. I had an encounter with a cashier and didn't go well. I came here on a Thursday evening. There were 4 workers including the manager. The one who placed our order seemed to be rushing. It was my first time experiencing my order written down on a receipt paper. The one who took my order made my wrap with no problem. The issue arose with the cashier. She asked me what I ordered and what number. It appeared as though both employees didn't understand my order. After explaining my order twice now the cashier points and referred to the receipt. As I look at the receipt she showed me, it had a bunch of numbers on it with the name "American" written on it, she held the receipt up and asks me "is this what I ordered". I had no idea what American was supposed to mean, when I ordered a turkey wrap with provolone cheese. I'm the customer, why am I being asked what your colleague wrote down? There was a lot of confusion with the cashier. You have to teach the staff how to operate, or communicate among one another if you're using these paper receipts. I understand if it was a busy day or new staff, but I blame management. I honestly think this location needs a training session ASAP or you will loose out on business. The location already looks sketchy, it is on the side of the building by a dark alley. Also you have Chipotle located right next to it, your competitor. Parking in front of the place is bad. If there's no parking in front, it's dangerous to walk across the street with traffic.Its not worth coming here. To sum everything up, pros: fresh sandwiches cons: don't accept coupons and customer service is UGH. FYI, I heard you can order online at a discounted price, but double check with the actual store if they op-ed into the deals. I got a number 11 and I asked if it can be heated on the flat grill and I chose the white bread and the guy behind the counter recommended that I go with the rosemary parmesan bread as it would taste better with the heated meats. Glad I listened to him, it was one of the best Jersey Mike's sandwiches. The ladies who handle the condiments put the right amount of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, spicy mustard, oil, vinegar, oregano, salt and pepper. Great service and a good meal!! read more

Ordered via DoorDash (maybe that was a bad idea). Four of us shared 2 sandwiches as part of a larger meal. We started eating when all four people started saying how flat they tasted. We opened them up (they aren't big so we were 1/3 of the way through the halves) when we discovered none had any tomato. I don't know if they forget (aren't these kind of assembly line?) or they just ran out and hoped no one would notice. Or maybe they just don't care. I hate giving bad reviews. I really don't like doing it even at the best of times. With the pandemic causing so much trouble for businesses, especially restaurants, I want to be able yell from the rooftops how great a place is. Sadly, I can't do that for this Jersey Mike's location. First let me say, the food is great. Jersey Mike's is one of the most consistent chain restaurants when it comes to food quality. Service quality however seems to vary by location, and unfortunately the service quality at this location is simply not good. The staff is not rude, they're simply overwhelmed and under-trained when it comes to customer service. In this case I ordered the same sandwich I always do, and even left a tip which I don't normally do for take-out orders, but they seem like hard workers, so I figured they deserve it. Only after getting home did I discover they had given me the wrong sandwich. I know from the hand written ticket that the order was correct when I placed it, but somewhere along the line I guess my order got switched with someone else's, and because of social distancing requirements you can't watch them make your sandwich like you were able to do in the past. You just have to trust they get it right. At this point I'm upset because I just paid $16 for sandwich I can't eat, but I also know mistakes happen and it's good to keep things in perspective. What I did next was what anyone would probably do; I tried calling the store. I dialed the number on the receipt. No dice. They don't answer the phone. I tried three times. So getting a new sandwich delivered to me or a refund to my credit card wasn't going to happen. $16 is a lot of money to just throw away, so I decided to wrap it back up, get back in my car and drive back to the store. When I got there and explained the problem, there was no apology, no show of concern and no offer to make it right. The person at the register just asked if I wanted my money back. "That's it?" I thought. I asked for the manager. No dice there either. There was no manager in the store (or so I was told). I still needed dinner, so rather than leave and get a pizza (which is what I probably should have done) I chose to wait while they made it again. Twenty minutes later I was home again. I had the right sandwich, but I felt frustrated and unappreciated as a customer. In all honesty, I'll probably go back eventually, but it won't be anytime soon. read more

I'm a long-time patron of Jersey Mike's Subs at their various New Jersey locations. Yesterday I was attending a wedding at Mayfair Farms and couldn't help but notice the Jersey Mike's next door. I was in the mood for a snack, so walked over to order a half of the #2 sandwich (ham, cappacuolo, provolone). What really stood out about the West Orange store was its friendly and engaging counter people. They were quick to strike up conversations with customers. One female employee couldn't help but dancing to some current pop hit playing on the radio. The friendly customer service was a refreshing change from the business-like production line approach of some of Jersey Mike's other locations. Oh, the sandwich was fresh and delicious, and the dining room as clean as a whistle. I highly recommend this store. read more

This place is the only chain sandwich shop I will ever eat at. My friend and I stopped into one in South Jersey on his recommendation. Then this location opened up the street from me. They are very polite and you are in and out with your food.. I like the roast beef with provolone they have. You need to get their home made hot pepper spread. Its delicious. First time ever to this establishment. The manager was great and attentive as I would have expected. She took my order and told me that "the girls" would ring me up. I went to the register and two girls were talking. They didn't acknowledge me at all, no hello, not even really much more than a glance. She typed into her register and told me the price. Didn't offer me a meal or explain what I was paying for. I asked if the $14 price (wow) included a drink and chips. She then asked if I wanted a meal, and when I said yea, she pressed some buttons and told me the new price of $17(WOW!). I paid, they finished my sandwich and she slid it to me. Not even a thank you! Very disappointing. We deserve to be at least thanked for spending any money there, especially close to $20 for a sandwich and chips. My Last time giving this location a chance. The only friendly staff member , who has been there a while, is the tall gentleman. The rest are downright rude and nasty. So much so, i almost Walked out last night around 6pm. Multiple times I've left with the wrong order. It's not rocket science.
