Wawa first came to Orlando several years ago, though its roots are firmly entrenched in the Northeast. Being from the Northeast, I can honestly say that Wawa is a place that will forever hold a place in my heart. And that feeling is echoed by many Floridians, who have embraced this chain and called it a part of their home. What's not to love about Wawa? It is a gas station, but it goes beyond what a gas station is it shows what a gas station should and could be. Yes, they have a convenience store. What gas station doesn't? However, in addition to gas and the before mentioned convenience store, Wawa is most endeared for their sandwiches. These sandwiches are made fresh 24/7 and are definitely a step above what most gas stations carry. Primarily I would order an Italian sub, but I have also been buying their cheesesteaks lately. So, as far as sub shops go, this place is INCREDIBLE! The philly cheesesteak is probably one of the best I have had in a long time. I really like the computer screens for ordering, although they can confuse many folks that are not technical. Since this location is near the UCF area, there are plenty of technical experts around so things move pretty quickly. Their coffee is really good and they have all different kinds. If you get a sub, try the Wawa Tea in the refrig cases. It is very good. The cost seems a bit lower than Subway and FAR lower than many other sub shops in the East Orlando area. But the value is exceptional since the food is really good. On top of that, their gas prices are LOW and that has driven the gas prices lower at the other stations nearby. I have learned the value of WaWa for not only competitive prices on gas for my car, but for snacks, beverages, and even meal options any time of day for me. A complete filling station. Stopped in here recently and ordered a couple of holiday lattes, which we found just as good as the big name coffee store across the street at a fraction of the price. Same could be said for the sandwiches. High quality, low pricing. Want a soda, almost always fountain drinks are on special for a tiny price even for the biggest size. I stopped here on Sunday after dinner to pick up an iced coffee. I was surprised that they didn't have the bottled coffee most of the stores have, but that they had machines to fill cups. My friend and I were looking at things and many things in the fruit and yogurt area were bad, as in expired, wilted, and otherwise, visually unpleasant. That should never, ever happen anywhere, but especially not at a Wawa. In 8 years of living in Philly, I've been to more than a few of their stores and that kind of thing wouldn't fly. I love how convenient this place is. I don't have to talk to anyone to order. This visit I ordered a Spicy Turkey on Wheat and the bread was fresh and soft. In the past, my bread would be hard and not impressive. The Zapp chips are addicting, but a tease of a portion. My daughter ordered a Strawberry Banana smoothie. As I stood at the pick up counter, I noticed a sign for Pumpkin Cheesecake smoothie!!! Smoothies are not my thing, but pumpkin is. I go to Wawa about once a week or more. Love their subs and muffins. I've been to the one at 3000 Alafaya Trail twice in the past week and have received subs that were obvious they don't pay attention to your order at this location. Last week I ordered a tuna sub. They actually forgot to put the tuna even on the sub. Thought it was just an isolated oops. Went back to the same location today, this time they didn't put the bacon on it ($1.20) or the rest of the toppings I ordered. I was very excited when Wawa came to Florida, and rightfully so! This is the location I go to on my way to work, and I am always very impressed with the level of service and cleanliness of this location. A few highlights about this Wawa (and probably most Wawas in general.): 1) Cleanliness. This is the most clean gas station I've ever been to. Usually gas stations are pretty sketchy and are quite dirty. However, I am pretty impressed at the level of detail to keeping this place clean. 2) Really good fast food. The food looks fresh and tasty (unlike the typical image of a hot dog that has been rolling on the roller thingy all day long. You know exactly what I'm talking about ;-) ) Food is ordered via computers with touch screen, and by the time you are done paying for it, it is ready to be picked up at the counter. Also, they have really good coffee that always seems to be fresh brewed every 2 hours or so. 3) Free air pump. THANK YOU FOR THIS. Most times I stop here, I always remind to check my tire pressure, and if it's a bit low I fill up at their FREE PUMP. Gone are the days scrounging for quarters for them only to be eaten up by the dingy, beat up, air machine. Overall, I really enjoy this location (if you can't tell, haha). If you find yourself in the Oviedo/UCF area and need to fill your tank up or are hungry, go to Wawa. You won't be disappointed. read more

I really do enjoy Wawa. 1- As a woman I don't like to pump my own gas. I always feel like gas stations are dirty...I don't want to touch a thing. I also feel like you just never know when a criminal or idiot is going to come your way. I don't feel that way at Wawa. It's safe - it's clean and it's so much more than a gas station. 2- This location is brand new, so it's pretty spotless. There seemed to be a lot of staff working and everyone was very friendly. 3- The food is great! We had a meatball sub and chicken strips. First time at WaWa's by UCF was great! The menu system was user friendly and order was ready quickly. 10" sub for $4.95?! wahh?! AND it was delicious?! Many years ago I saw WaWa all over New Jersey. All I knew was this it was a gas station/convenience store. When word spread that they were coming to Orlando I didn't get all the hullabaloo so when I needed gas and happened to roll by I decided to stop. I like this place. Friendly, helpful service with more than your average convenience store. They have a selection of subs, sandwiches, salads, and snacks for a quick lunch as well as a deli and specialty coffee drinks. Nice! They also have a wide variety of your typical junk/snack foods, beverages (including beer and wine of course) and just about anything else you can imagine. The gas was a good price too. Switched stars to a four. I had gotten the meatball sub and meat was white??? Threw me off and not all that great. What meat did they use?? Drinks are now .99 so not .59 anymore. If you are feeding two just get one large sub and split it. Price too high per person and subs can fill you up fast. Price can get out of hand fast if you get a muffin, drink and sub. This Wawa is great. The staff is nice and attentive. They will help you customize your subs just the way you want it and they always ask if you need assistance. If the staff sees the checkout backed up they always call for more cashiers to help out. The coffee station always has hot coffee and they keep the area clean. read more

Stopped in here yesterday while visiting my daughter at UCF. We don't have WAWA in Palm Beach County so every time I come to Orlando I pick up a bag of WAWA coffee for my mom. We are originally from the Philadelphia area. She misses her WAWA coffee! The store is very clean. Fountain soft drinks were $.79. We also bought some soft pretzels which were pretty good but not quite Philadelphia- authentic but still enjoyable. The young man at the register rung up our purchases quickly and was very pleasant. The last time we were at this WAWA in January, we ordered sandwiches. They were great but the only tables are outside the store. It was cold that day so we had to eat in our car! I plan to stop here on my trips to Orlando as the cleanliness, prices, and WAWA coffee for my mom will keep me coming back! read more

Pretty much every Wawa is great. They're all clean and fully stocked. There's always so much to choose from (which is why I get way more than just coffee when that is originally my plan most mornings) so this is what I expect whenever I see that red Wawa sign whether I'm in Philly, Maryland or Florida...however, only this location has Ms. Susan! Ms. Susan works the EARLY morning weekday shift in the coffee area and she is the BEST! She always has a smile and a good morning for everyone. Who gives a quick stop "Gas Station" 5 stars? I guess I do. I am kinda stuck here for a week or two suffering from a wicked case of cabin fever. For my first time back behind the wheel my host took me to WaWa....Hell this is almost a super market. Clean, bright not clutteted I am still amazed. Evidently this store is pretty new and kicking the competition butt. Gas is just a tad lower than other stations, in the area lots of pumps to expedite quick in out. Once I filled up and cleaned the windows I just had to see the inside. That's where the real wow factor comes into play. No more poisonous nitraye dogs spinning endlessly. A kiosk to select fresh made to order items, pre cooked and other munchies. Fresh fruit, healthy choices, hot and cold drink island and a massive walk in beer cooler. If I had not been on meds I would have pulled up a case and spent a few hours working my way around. So if you ever find yourself in Oviedo check this place out. read more
