Me and my boyfriend went to this Publix on 3/21/26 at 11:30 AM and had such a lovely experience. A wonderful lady named Heda took our order and had a really pleasant conversation with us about vacations we'd love to go on. She was incredibly polite and friendly and truly made my trip. After that, my boyfriend got a coffee at the café where Silvia took his order and made the most flavorful and rich coffee he has ever had. Finally, when we checked out, the sweetest lady named Jen helped us and even referred us to the manager so we could share how great our experience had been. I highly recommend that anyone who goes to Publix stop by and see Silvia, Heda, and Jen. They're amazing workers who deserve recognition for all their hard work. read more

I go here often since it's close to home. It's always organized and even when it's busy the check out lines are never too long a wait. I love that they have a little cafe inside, which I definitely needed. The employee was the sweetest and made my coffee to order. Even though groceries can get expensive, I like to go for their bogo deals and if you sign up on their website you can collect points and a few dollars discounted off of your total. read more

I stopped in today with the intention of just getting something simple for lunch. I checked out their hot food and they had some fried rice and pulled pork along with a bunch of other things. I asked for a small order of fried rice and about the same of the pork. I also picked myself up a single serving, Simply lemonade. Both the rice and the pork were actually pretty good. Not a lot of flavor in either one but enough to enjoy them. I also added some Texas hot sauce that they had. I like a little bit of heat to a lot of foods. The only thing that was really disappointing was that when they filled up the small container with rice they didn't pack it tight and they didn't even fill it to the top. The portion I got worked out for me, but it would've been nice if they had packed it like other places too. I only looked around the store a little bit beyond that and it was pretty much like every other Publix that I shop at. A nice clean store with a lot of merchandise to choose from. They had a table and some counter space near the hot food and sandwiches where you could sit and eat if you wanted. As I was there around lunchtime, it was a little busy. I hope to try some of these options at other locations to see how it compares. For me it was a nice change and I was satisfied with my meal. Came in for fried chicken at dinner time. That's a mistake. Why would you have hot food available at dinner time? Romaine lettuce is empty except for one half rotten bag that someone put back?? Seriously this particular Publix deli is the worst run operation on the planet. Our orders are consistently wrong, and items we come in for frequently unavailable. Similar to other Publixes, but seemed a little smaller and older inside. Kinda felt dreary inside. Might need a interior/lighting update soon. Other than that, very clean/organized. Same foods as the other stores. Love the BOGO sales! I love that they offer paper bags and e-receipts in their app. I'm all for the little things that help the environment. #plasticSucks read more

This location seems to be the only one left with a full Green Wise section. Not sure why they are doing away with them at other locations but you'll find it here. It always is less packed vs others and the people are not as snobby. read more

Great Publix in a great location! This Publix is clean and has some of the upscale things (ground lamb, ground buffalo, specialty cuts of meat) that other Publixes in the area don't typically have. The employees are very helpful as well and new checkout lanes open up when lines get long! read more

I was at Publix around 4 pm of February 10 looking for a plan b .i asked one of the workers and they didn't even know what a plan b was and where it was located so I asked a different worker.she told me they sell plan b but they don't have any in stock. Me and my girlfriend was on the way out and two worker yelled that they was stealing cause we didn't buy anything.i felt disrespected as a black male as I'm leaving the store and being accused of stealing. August 2019. This past weekend I hosted a dinner honoring my parents in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. "Le piece de resistance" of the catered affair was to be a two-tiered layered naked cake topped with berries. I made the mistake of not ordering the cake from Publix. On the afternoon of the event, I was thoroughly disappointed with the competitor's version of the cake. (It looked to have been made by kindergarteners). Needless to say, I refused to accept the cake. With less than 4 hours until my home was going to be filled with dinner guests, I needed to find a replacement cake that was worthy of a fiftieth anniversary celebration. I drove directly to the Southchase Orlando Publix where I explained my dilemma to the bakery manager. While her own staff had too many orders to accommodate my last minute request, she immediately began calling the neighboring Publix stores to find a bakery with availability to fulfill the order. We hit the jackpot with the Lake Nona Creekside Store. The Creekside Bakery Assistant Manager assured me that they would have my cake ready within two hours. I'll have to admit that based on the competitor's cake, my bar was set pretty low. However, upon seeing the Publix cake yesterday afternoon, "impressed and elated" do not begin to describe my reaction. From the powdered raspberries to the perfectly imperfect layers of the naked caked, the bakery team hit it out of the park!! Both ladies were so willing to go out of their way to ensure I had the perfect cake for this special occasion. The cake was so well received by my family and friends, that outside of pictures of my parents themselves, it was definitely the most photographed. Kudos to both stores for saving the day! P.S. An invading army marches in lockstep across a bone-strewn plain. The earth shudders beneath iron-shod feet and broad, burnished shields. Steam rises from the horde, lightning crashes in the distance, and a chanting report can be discerned above the clash of sword on casque: "love to SHOP here. LOVE to SAVE HERE." The world shakes; all hope is extinguished. One sound rises above all others: "Love to SHOP here. LOVE to SAVE HERE. Love to SHOP here. LOVE to SAVE HERE." Ok. Now that we've got that out of the way... I don't much like that slogan, if you haven't noticed. It has the ring of a cult mantra, which might be appropriate for, say, Trader Joes, which has earned its rabid following. But Pubelix? Just... No. The whole identity of being the "nice" supermarket is dismissed by how not-nice it is in there. The sterile white, the fluorescent light, the elevator music. Think Sedano's but with white people food and prices multiplied by 1.5. What's "nice" about that? My main gripe, based on my experience here, are the prices. Namely, the produce is priced well above any comparable store. That should mean it's extra fresh, but a bag of Bolthouse Farms carrots for $1.59 instead of $1.00 at Winn Dixie doesn't really convince me. A shopping trip here will get you the same exact products as any other supermarket, but for an extra chunk of change. If the "classy" ethic is worth it to you, go nuts. I won't be. Now, there are good things about this (and most other) Pubelixes. It's clean. It's well-stocked. There is a lot of selection. Most importantly, the staff is really friendly. Creepily so at times, but friendly and seemingly genuine. I experience that at most Pubelixes, actually. I won't comment on whether or not they are actually a model employer since that's not what Yelp is for. But it's a plausible explanation. Long story short, it's a decent but expensive supermarket with a stupid slogan. read more

The slogan "Where shopping is a pleasure" is so true. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you can't find something in stock there is always someone close by to assist. The BOGO is my favorite part of coming here. The fresh produce, desserts and hot meals are great. read more

This Publix deli sucks. I've complained multiple times about advertised items not being available in store. Frequently my online orders have been late. If you order in person the service is miserably slow. Two days in a row I have not been able to get the sub I want because they are out of the proper lunchmeat. This Publix is not my most favorite store - many times I've been here & BOGO's are sold out. Also, I really have to watch the expiration dates, as at times they've already expired or are very near to expiration. Today I visited the pharmacy for a flu shot. I was basically ignored & not greeted by pharmacy staff in Publix's traditional manner. There wasn't anybody waiting so I was next in line for service. After waiting 20 minutes & not being seen or interviewed by pharmacist I inquired as to the wait time. Now being told she would be right with me - now interviewed & once again waiting while she's clearly doing other work. I again inquired only to be told she had been looking for me while I was standing almost in front of her the entire time. Very poor & unprofessional service staff. I have mixed feelings about this Publix. There a 2 ladies that work there that are exceptionally rude and always make me feel like I am bothering them when they "have" to check me out. I always spend minimum $700 and have spent $1400 before. I have a very large family to take care of and I would think they would be happy that I am spending that much with their company. There was an assistant store manager, named Jeff, that worked at this store and he has transferred to another store but, he is the most rude, inappropriate manager I have EVER come across. I stopped shopping at this location for awhile because of him! Recently, I have been having trouble with their Greenwise products. The meat has gone bad before the date on the package. I always store it correctly and place it in a cooler with ice for the very short ride home. I am really upset that I have lost so much steak and chicken and I not will buy these products from Publix anymore. There are a few baggers and customer service people that are very nice. Also, the bakery is hit and miss. There is one girl that is exceptional in the bakery. She always smiles and talks to us when we get a cake. She always offers to write something on the cake for us as well. Some of the other bakery staff frustrates me though. I have kids and they want the free cookies. If I brought all my kids with me that would be a disaster! So, I usually get a free cookie for all my kids but, now they refuse to give me cookies for kids that are not present. With as much as I spend I would not think a few cookies would kill them to give out! Also, they can be quite rude about the cookies. All in all I go to Publix because I detest Walmart and I used to love shopping at Publix. However, the friendly, customer oriented, climate has changed at Publix. I am searching for a place now to shop to meet all my needs where I don't feel like I am bothering them to check out. A small note about the sale items as well. The quantity limits used to be 10 and, was not normally enforced. I know there are extreme couponers that CLEAR the shelves so I understand the limits. I truly have a big family and need more quantities and I did not know about the change in limits. So, I have more than the 8 and the lady at check out was very rude about the situation. I did not see a sign on ANY of the products that said 8 was the limit. Also, I would assume if the flavor or sweet potato fries vs' tater tots, that I could 8 of both. No, she would not let me get 8 of each item. Fine, if that is your rules but, SOMEWHERE post this information!!! I got to the check out and was so embarrassed to have to put stuff back because I didn't know. What's worse your checker made me feel bad, made a scene, loud voice, and was really abrasive to me about the situation. I was not asking to speak to a manager or anything. I said yes, I thought it was 10 quantity limit. I asked her when the rule changed and she growled at me "It's been that way for a long time lady!" Ok, well I was just asking and I said that's fine just ring up 8. Another problem, my parents are elderly(forgetful) and sometimes shop and misplace their receipt. The items they buy are not always the right items and in the past exchanging without a receipt has not been a problem. Lately, they have hassled me about it. Fine, I take care of my parents and I will eat the cost for the few items they got mixed up but, just another example of the climate change at Publix. I really want Publix to go back to the way it was but, until then I will be looking to shop elsewhere. read more

The deli drags this store down to a 1 star. I have waited multiple times over 20 minutes or more. They are always understaffed and the supervisor with the neck tattoo obviously couldn't care less about customer service. Last evening I patiently waited as the one lady working the counter provided about 10 free samples of the items in the deli case to a couple while having a long animated conversation with them. After the couple took their one package of cheese and left, she proceeded to wrap up and put away all the sample products which took another 5 minutes. After she was done she said "someone will help you" and walked out! The supervisor boxing fried chicken said to the two sandwich makers "someone come over to the deli". There was a line 5 deep at the sandwich counter & very busy. No one came over. I waited. Now there was a line forming behind me. I thought after he had boxed the chicken maybe HE would assist but no. After boxing the chicken, he starts CLEANING THE FRYER. I said "is someone going to help us??" and he smirked, "someone will help you soon". This was 20 minutes now waiting. My suggestion is that there is a much nicer Publix 5 min from this one in Hunters Creek. If I'm paying Publix prices, I want Publix service. This location is worth avoiding. read more

I love how everything is made fresh and the exact date and time is put on each of the bakery items. The staff is always delightful and polite to you. I'm done with this Publix. It's as though the staff at this location has gone through a different training program than any other Publix! I've lived in Florida for 40 years, have shopped in hundreds of Publix stores and have never had such consistently poor service and actual rude treatment as I've had at the Southchase, Orlando store. I've even sought out the deli manager to let him know about a truly rude employee and he didn't even apologize. I think a clean sweep of management is in order! read more

I love Publix but this review is about the bakery in this particular store the cake decorator who is horrible out of 5 cakes I have ordered in this store I have had to return 3 she spells names wrong on b-day cakes she does sloppy work to say the least and she screams and gets loud and nasty with the customers, why is this woman still employed here? I had started to drive all the way to other stores for my orders, they finally got a new decorator I think her name is Becky, I have ordered and she has done more than wonderful on my cakes, she asks you to brings pics for her so she can try to make what ever you want she welcomes and input or ideas wow what a change in attitude for this bakery, so if you order make sure Becky does your cake you wont regret it! read more
