I ordered a veggie sub that included cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, Chesapeake seasoning and sauce, mayo, and garlic aioli. I ordered extra sides of garlic aioli and Chesapeake sauce. The fries looked good so I ordered those as well because they were wedges. It has been a while since I had that style. The food was ready by the time I left the bathroom. I grabbed the food, paid for it on a kiosk, and went back to the car to eat. Hubs went to use the restroom and grab a coffee. When I started to go through the bag, I realized no sauces were in the bag and sandwich looked less appealing than a prison sandwich. Hubs went back in for me to get the sauces and I was given ranch instead of garlic aioli but the Chesapeake sauce was correct. The food was just not worth the price or the carbs. I was no longer hungry but also still craving an empty satisfaction. This was the first place we came across after driving for a while with no civilization in sight. Next time, I will be searching for other options if I am in the same predicament. Maybe I went on an off day or maybe they are known for other foods. They are similar to the concept of Wawa but nowhere near the quality.

Bride got a steak fajita Stackadilla (which I will always pronounce like "Godzilla") and I got the Country Breakfast Stackadilla. Hers was loaded with steak, caramelized onions, fresh bell peppers, and a blend of cheeses. Mine was crammed with eggs, sausage, cheese and tots, and was so good that we both seriously thought about buying more. We'd made them combos ($3.50 upcharge) so we had sides of sweet potato waffle fries (excellent). She had a 16 ounce fountain drink and I had a 24 ounce house blend coffee from a machine that literally ground the beans and brewed the coffee right then and there. And it was really good. This cost us about 20 bucks for the gas and $20.80 for lunch. By the time we finished, I had already looked up all of their locations, and I am pleased to report that they have one just outside of Richmond! TL;DR- delicious, inexpensive food, cheap gas, and excellent service. And a car wash if you have time. Highly recommended.

What has happened to my favorite sandwich? We ordered regular sized classic Italian and my…read morefavorite, the roast beef and provolone, both "Mike's Way" which has vinegar and oil dressing plus all the veg. I asked for the pepper relish and the banana pepper slices on the side. What was made for pickup, however, were two soggy, sorry excuses for a sandwich. So much vinegar, all I could taste was vinegar. Now I love vinegar--this is a gal who has six kinds of vinegar in the pantry but I want to taste sandwich, not just the dressing. There was almost no provolone on my sandwich and minimal roast beef hiding in the crease. It looked scared; and I don't blame it. The acid bath was something out of a horror film. And of course the bread barely survived the deluge of dressing, soggy. And barely any crunchy water, I mean, lettuce or onions. And the pepper relish and slices were ON the sandwich not on the side as requests. The Italian wasn't much better, not enough lettuce and the diner, a hungry guy who is not as fussy as me, admitted it wasn't that great. Jersey Mikes of Middletown, do better, please.

Wish they had them out where I live! I walked in, and was greeted by my server Jennifer. Super nice super sweet lady, told me I could sit wherever I wanted and got my beverage for me while I browsed the menu. I typically get the same hash brown bowl, but I wanted to try something different and I ordered the Texas chicken sandwich with hash browns and country gravy. It was so good, I'm glad I tried it cuz now I can go back to my Norm next time hahaha! I asked Jennifer for some Louisiana hot sauce, and she gave me Tabasco hahaha but it was close enough! That girl on the flat top was whipping up delicious farw the ENTIRE time I was there. Poor kid needs to take a break! She was really hustlin'! Oddly enough, all the food she was making, I think was take out orders, because there is only one other couple in there besides me, but a few people came in and got food to go. This isn't exactly the cleanest WH I've been in, but I've also been in some pretty ratchet ones. But there is one employee there who wasn't really doing much, because they weren't really busy, and I noticed the waffle station was absolutely destroyed. Batter everywhere, I just think people should take pride more in what they do. Bar seating table top could have been wiped down, but other than those two things, excellent food, excellent people, and excellent experience! I hate this state, well the whole northeastern seaboard for that matter, but this visit made my stay a lot more tolerable. Thank you jennifer! If I do find myself back here, which I don't plan, I'll definitely be back! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
