Was satisfied with my recent visit to this Wawa location. Getting into this Wawa is a little bit tricky depending on which direction you're coming from. You'll need to enter through the back and follow the roundabout around past the Chik-fil-A in order to access it. This location was decently busy on a hot Wednesday afternoon. I started off getting gas which was decently quick and painless despite the extremely high temperature outside. Then I headed into the Wawa store to place my sandwich order and take a look through the aisles. This location had well stocked grab-and-go hot items like pretzels, mozzarella sticks and burritos, which I saw get restocked as I was waiting on my sandwich order. They even have essentials here like a travel toothbrush (which was great since I had forgotten mine on this particular road trip). Overall the sandwiches were well made, though I did receive banana peppers on this sandwich instead of the hot peppers I had ordered. I've been a regular at this Wawa for years and the Staff & Gas Attendees have always been extremely kind and friendly at this location! Due to its location, this Wawa has a tendency to be packed, both inside and out. The food is standard amongst convenience chains, and the coffee section is always well stocked. Decently clean bathrooms considering the amount of traffic they get. My biggest issue with this Wawa is that the air pumps rarely work! The hose is either cracked/ripped, the air compressor is too weak, or the pressure gauge is damaged. The one pump was so bad it deflated my whole tire and I had to put on the spare. Be warned not to trust the air gauge on the one "working" air pump as it consistently underfills my tire regardless of the temperature outside. I usually drive to another Wawa for their working air pump. read more

I frequent this Wawa a lot on my commute from Philly to Piscataway. The gas attendants are super pleasant and always cheerful which is nice when you are commuting. I want to shine a spotlight on the cashier, who I hope I have her name right as Ruth or Beth. It's a short name and I have an incredibly feeble memory. I was getting a coffee and showed her my card in the app for points. She said, "You know there is a coupon for $1.00 coffee in the app." I said, "Oh, well, I'm dim and didn't grab it so it's okay." Her demeanor of calm and friendliness relaxed by normal nervousness when she said, "Just swipe, you'll find it." "But a line will form." "Don't worry about it." I looked. A line was forming. "There's a line." Again, the picture of calm and her voice was soothing. "Don't worry about it." I found the coupon, she scanned it and I got my $1.00 java for my commute. She made my morning truly pleasant which is why I love stopping there. She helped me to have a wonderful day. read more

Wawas are usually extremely busy and this location right off of Rt 1 is especially manic as customers pour through the front and rear doors simultaneously. So, extra credit must be given for the stellar service, cleanliness and a coffee station that is continuously refreshed. I'm amazed that even during the morning rush hour and lunch peaks when construction and landscaping crews swarm the food station, service is swift with virtually no mistakes on their highly customizable offerings - astounding considering in the current era of chronic labor shortages, most service personnel require constant bribery to even show up. A terrific Wawa! One question however, will the free air pump ever be fixed? read more

I go to the WAWA on old Bridge turnpike South River, NJ. Everyone is very polite and friendly the manager James always comes out to greet us he pretty much knows who you are. And if the cashier gets to busy he jumps right in to relieve the lines. read more

This 21st Century Wawa is their design to catch up with the many roadside service areas springing up across the United States. Rather than being just a coffee/sandwich/snack/restroom stop, it has become primarily a gas station with an elaborate travel service component, much like Quick Chek and the many turnpike pulloffs now found on the NJ and PA pikes and nearby exits. It is a vast improvement over the much smaller convenience store concept that began this trend in the last century. It is helpful to be able to fill the tank and the stomach at the same moment. The staff at the pumps are well trained and friendly. This is especially important in Jersey, where drivers are not permitted do it themselves, and must rely on workers to get the job done. Of course, there are limits to the courteous demeanor, as they still don't wash the windshield, as was a common practice in days of old. The store continues the advantages of Wawa in food preparation. They brew varieties of decent coffee, and custom make sandwiches and hoagies via computerized order terminals near the deli. I do like their chicken salad packed with hot and sweet peppers. The prices inside retain a premium over what a local deli would charge, but think of the time and gasoline saved in not needing to go elsewhere for victuals. Yet, the price for liquid energy for the motor vehicle tends to have a small discount to more local stations. So, overall, they fill a need at fair prices. I work in EMS on the night shift. I'm one of those #HealthCareHeros. I drive around at all hours of the night to save lives. We don't have access to bathrooms in our ambulances. The store clerk locked the door in front of my face 5 minutes before closing. It was extremely rude, and even dressed in my hospital gear the clerk didn't care. I'll make sure to not come back to this location again and to tell other healthcare workers that this location doesn't value our services and we shouldn't spend hundreds of dollars on gas here or grab food here as they clearly hate healthcare workers. read more

Since chik Fila has opened this parking lot and way in and out of Wawa is a complete nightmare. I went there today and there was an accident on the traffic circle, traffic coming from all ways in and out of chik FIL a and Wawa, a homeless person asking for change next to a guy who whispered at me while trying to walk into the Wawa. Once inside I was pushed and then mocked by two teens who I then watched shoplift and walk out while I was waiting for my sandwich to be made. And no, no one saw them shoplift except me. I'm sorry to say I have to stop going to this Wawa it's a hot mess just getting into the parking lot much less shopping or ordering anything. Wawa is losing business because of chik FIL a. I went here once. They were closed. It broke my heart Stepped to the door. White young teenager looked at me as he sat on top of a counter and waved his four fingers across this neck back and forth signaling they were closed. I've worked plenty of restaurants,customer service , and retail to know what's it like to be closed and wanting to home. I waved my head in understanding and approval. Consistently screw up my order. Wawa is so over rated. Food is ok at best. Like the hot dogs however they are left in the heater too long often. I've only been inside the store a few times. This review is about the gas station component. It is rare that you find kindness, and courteous attendants in a job that requires you to be outside all the time. Every time I come to the gas station (and I do drive from hopewell just to go there) I'm always greeted with a smile and great service. Whatever kool aid you guys are drinking is definitely working. Went in to get food placed order. Went to get a drink machine was out of order. Went to get donuts. But no boxes. Paid for everything went to go get sandwiches and was refused was told I have to pay when I already did. Told her I did already then Was asked if I was sure I did. SOOOOOO disappointing! We were so excited to get a local Wawa. Been twice that the store was closed late night, which is an huge negative for a Wawa. Ordered hoagies four times, HORRIBLE each time, with the last attempt being the WORST. Sloppy assembly, stale bread NOTHING like what we are used to from Wawa, and the worst part, the lunchmeat was rancid. Threw away the entire sandwich and haven't been back since. Stop here every week for gas. Very few pumps ever open. It's ridiculous. Because it's New Jersey and you can't pump your own gas you have to wait. To avoid this, just get out and start pumping your own gas. read more

This location is just "OK" in terms my experiences in the store. Being a brand new location, I expect more but tend to end up disappointed on some level when I stop by this location and much prefer the other smaller L'ville location off Quakerbridge Rd. When the location first opened there were some issues that I chalked up to the managers having to learn how much walk in traffic would be coming into their store in order to gauge how to keep their inventory well stocked. Probably a month after the panini's were first introduced I tried to order 1, the person behind the counter advised they were out and that I would have to come back on Monday..not tomorrow, but Monday - and I was there on a Friday. My experience tonight made me want to post this review. It's Wed night about 10pm and not really busy in the store. A couple of things I want to order are not available on the touch screen, I then make my way to the coffee kiosk and both sides of the station are dirty, sticky with sugar and coffee stains -- had not been wiped down in quite a while. While paying for my order I ask the cashier for a bag and she says they do not have any!!!! At this point the store has been open for 10+ months and managing inventory is still an issue. I will add that I've had great experiences at the gas pump..the attendants are always courteous and pleasant. read more

This Was the most disappointing WaWa experience for me ever. I pulled into get gas, a patron in the car next to me was pumping her own gas(illegal in NJ) not a WaWa employee in sight.. she finishes pumping her gas an then leaves after she got her receipt out of the pump. Then An employee appears and starts pumping gas Into two other cars that are waiting. Never even approached my car I had even sitting for about 7-8 min at this point. He then returned to the first Vehical and finished their fill. Then back to the other vehicle. At this time I started my car and exited the WaWa without getting gas. I have to say the service here has gone way down since they first opened. It is Sad because we were so happy when then first opened. Yet now we are very disappointed. Your loss WaWa!!!!!!! read more

My car died while at this Wawa and it's probably the best place to get stuck on the road. The staff is super friendly and there's a restroom in this location. I ate here while waiting for a roadside assistance and all of their food is fresh and the coffee is hot. Highly recommend this location! read more
