Fast friendly service, the coffee and food is good and a quick gas stop to get in and out in the morning.

Very Disappointing Experience With Customer Service…read more I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience needs to be addressed. I'm a local business owner and recently moved to the area. I've been coming to this McDonald's fairly regularly because it's convenient to our new home while we're getting settled. Until this particular experience, I've generally received courteous and welcoming service here. I believe this location is owned by the Chapman family, and based on my previous experiences, I've always had a positive impression of their restaurants. Unfortunately, my experience on August 6th around 4:00 PM was completely different. My son placed a pickup order in his name, and we initially went through the drive-thru to pick up our food. Our family spent approximately $68 on that order. After picking up the food, we realized we had forgotten to order drinks. Since we're trying to reduce our soda intake, we decided to get water for the family instead. At that point, the drive-thru was very backed up, so I went inside to order the water rather than going back through the drive-thru. We went to the kiosk and selected the waters. When we reached the payment screen, we noticed that the water was showing as free. We did not simply assume that was correct. We actually stopped and asked an employee who was passing by, and she confirmed that yes, the water was free. Based on the kiosk and the employee's confirmation, we proceeded with the order. The problem occurred when I went to the counter to pick up the water. There was an individual there who appeared to be from the corporate office based on their attire and the way they were interacting with the employees. Instead of simply explaining any policy regarding the water, this individual spoke to me in a manner that was extremely rude, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. I was questioned about whether I had come inside just to get water without buying anything and was told: "We have people like you coming here all the time, getting water and not buying anything." That statement was extremely upsetting. I had literally just spent approximately $68 at this restaurant. I wasn't someone walking in looking for something free. I had already made a substantial purchase, realized we had forgotten drinks, and came inside because the drive-thru was backed up. The restaurant's own kiosk showed the water as free, and I even confirmed that with an employee before ordering it. If the restaurant has a policy that complimentary water is no longer available, I have absolutely no problem with that. Policies can change. I would have been perfectly happy to pay for the water or simply been told that it was no longer complimentary. The issue was the way I was treated. What happened next was even more concerning. The individual turned toward the staff and instructed them: "Make sure you take this off the kiosk so we don't have people coming here and getting any water. Take it off the kiosk now." They then proceeded to reprimand the staff for allowing customers to receive the water. I have worked in corporate environments for 22 years, and I understand the importance of professionalism, leadership, training, and setting an appropriate example for employees. If this person was, in fact, from the corporate office, I find the interaction particularly troubling. A corporate representative should be demonstrating the highest level of professionalism and customer service. They should be helping managers and employees understand how to handle situations appropriately, not creating an uncomfortable situation for a customer and reprimanding employees over something as simple as a cup of water. And I want to be very clear: this review is NOT about getting free water. I would have had no problem paying for it. I would have had no problem being told that the kiosk was incorrect. I would have had no problem being told that the restaurant had changed its policy. What I do have a problem with is being treated as though I was intentionally trying to take advantage of the restaurant when I had already spent $68, followed the ordering process on the kiosk, and confirmed the water was free with an employee. The phrase "people like you" was especially concerning. Statements like that can make a customer feel singled out, stereotyped, or treated differently. Businesses and corporate representatives need to be extremely careful about language like that and how it can be perceived by the person on the receiving end. I am sharing this because I genuinely hope the Chapman family and the appropriate management team look into what happened. I would encourage them to review the events of August 6th around 4:00 PM, including who was present, how the interaction occurred, and the instructions given to the staff regarding the kiosk and water. I have had good experiences at this McDonald's in the past, which is exactly why this incident was so disappointing. As a local

Maybe the business changed over IR maybe I'm confused, but I'm going with the Viva Mexico name. This little market is nothing special from the outside. Upon entering it seems like any other bodega with a selection of Central American and US brand chips, sodas, packaged snacks, pan dulce, and convenience store items. Hiding in the back however, is a food counter with some super-authentic, DELICIOUS Mexican food. Whenever I work at the old Kimball Hospital, I treat myself to a taco or two from here. Tacos are traditional street style served in a double soft tortilla shell, topped with cilantro and diced onion, and served with a wedge of lime and side of salsa picante (made from scratch hot sauce). Meat tacos are good, chorizo is my new favorite. Note - it's spicy, so those with mild-mannered tastebuds need not apply. There are other items available (burritos, platters, and quesadillas), but I can't get away from the tacos. English and Spanish speakers accommodated. Don't be afraid. Go ahead and eat. No seating so be ready to take-out.
