Very clean. Bathrooms were spotless. Made to order food was hot and done well. Coffee was fresh and tasty. Great place to stop.

It is unfortunate a service member stationed at DAFB was treated with total disrespect and lack of disregard. When this particular individual noticed his order was incorrect, he proceeded back to the WAWA to rectify the situation. At first, he addressed the lady, who made his order: one toasted and the other not toasted sandwich. The individual had asked the lady if she could toast the other sandwich. The lady informed him she could not serve hot food to EBT customers. Confused about what the lady was saying about having an EBT card and serving hot food, the individual asked the lady again if she would just toast his sandwich because what she was talking about did not pertain to him. The lady making the sandwiches stated again that she couldn't serve hot food to EBT card customers. At this point, the individual didn't understand & was confused more than ever as he left the store thinking he was being racially profiled. The lady, who made his sandwich, DIDN'T request his receipt upon returning back to the store, she DIDN'T ask how him how he paid for his food, she WASN'T the cashier that assisted him in the checkout lane, and technically IF he PAID w/an EBT card, she already served him hot food as one of two sandwiches was toasted. Therefore, the cashier should have noticed this when his food was rung up.  Because he was wearing a doo rag, timberland shoes, and black sweatpants, this individual felt as though she placed him in a group/category based on his appearance. Now thinking this situation was unacceptable, the individual decided to go back and talk to the Manager. He approached Manager, and explained the situation. It was at this point Manager, stated, "if it's not that serious, then why did you come back." It was at this point, the individual felt the Manager was not providing assistance, and/or showing empathy towards his situation as he was trying to explain why it was necessary to return. The individual was stating the problem and how this could be corrected. This is when Manager uses words such as aggressive to describe the individual. The individual was unsuccessful in getting his order corrected. He decided to file a complaint against the store manager.  Understand this, I know we are ALL going through trying times these days and we don't know what each other has going on in other people's houses. Just kindness goes a long way and being appreciative of others is just as important. I say all of this because customer service has fallen short. All of this could have been avoided if the lady making the sandwiches had just asked for the receipt if she felt he was an EBT card holder. However, she assumed, perceived, & judged  an individual based on how he was dressed and refused to give him customer service. The Manager totally disrespected, disregarded, and devalued the individual by saying he was being aggressive. Therefore, the individual mentioned how the Manager was treating him in regards to being a EBT customer, about feeling racial profiled, and the simple fact he is the customer who pay for his food to be how he wanted it to be. One thing is for sure, nobody likes when you tell them what they did wrong in a situation. At the end of the day, it's a shame how a fellow service member and dear friend has to deal with this. People need to understand, if you are going to be rude and unpleasant at work, then stay home. Good Customer service is truly hard to find these days. read more

I think most people fawn over food that they don't regularly have access to. While the locals may disagree (because they could stop there every day if they wanted), Wawa is an evolved species in the convenience store chain of life. To me, Wawa is the East coast version of In-and-Out burger. For starters, Wawa is a convenience store and a deli all in one. But not just any deli. At this deli, you don't have to yell your order or find out later that they made your sandwich wrong. You choose every ingredient from a touch screen menu. It comes out perfect, exactly as you ordered it every time. And this deli also has soups, chicken nuggets(which are amazing too), pancakes, waffles, along with healthy salads and healthy snacks. Hummus and vegetable plate? Yes. 10 different flavors of chocolate milk? Yep, even cookies and cream flavored! Fresh custom made salad? Ya, Wawa's got it too. And they'll make it for you any time of day or night. read more

I used to love this Wawa. I would actually drive past another Wawa and come to this location because they were the best. However, two out of the last four times I've gotten a salad, it has been unsatisfactory. Today I got one and it looked like crap, sloppily put together (not that busy today) and my chicken SALAD on top of my lettuce was room temperature (I was hungry so I opened it and ate some as we were leaving) Uh... HACCP anyone? That salad should be 32-41 degrees, someone isn't taking their temps and doing corrective actions. It's all fun and games until someone gets food poisoning... yes,I know what I am talking about as I am ServSafe certified. I also always order bacon and sunflower seeds on my salad and about 50% of the time they forget one or the other, once even both. It is frustrating to get home and discover this. So today, I pulled out my salad and inspected it before I left and the girl behind the counter had the nerve to roll her eyes at me. I hadn't even said a word to her, just making sure my order was correct BEFORE I left. This used to be the best Wawa in town..... now, not so much. The food is great, but current management just sucks the life out of the associates and the overall customer service. The remodel is basically lipstick on a pig at this point. The location has been better with past management, time to cycle out the GM again. read more

Love me some Wawa. The staff is always friendly, and it is always clean. Not always the case with the one close to Target. They make their own bread now but honestly I can't tell the difference. You can't get a better deal on a hoagie. Yes, I said hoagie instead of a sub since I am from Philly. They don't have the syrup that you can add into your soda like some other Wawa locations but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Best thing about Wawa has to be the coffee. Always hot, always good and cheaper than Dunkin donuts. read more
