This is one of those old school Wawa's that aren't totally corporate looking. But that also means they don't have amenities like a public bathroom. The place is also small, so if you order a sandwich, you'll need to strategically find a place to stand where you're not too close to other people. There's no designated place to line up, so people will just be in the middle of the aisle. Tiny parking lot, but I can't imagine it gets too busy. The bread the used for my sandwich was bad though. I have never before had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with such rude, appalling, careless behavior from the majority of employees and one specific manager. The majority of the staff here are clearly here just for a paycheck and it shows. Food wise - I've had missing items on orders, specialty hot chocolate that was cold and barely filled, been told a soup I order daily was "dumped" for the day even though it was available on the touch ordering screen. The final unforgivable straw was yesterday when I came in with an emergency (I only live a few blocks from this location) and the "manager" was cold and reluctant to help. I was panicked and desperate. I had a dead cell phone and no means of contacting anyone for the emergency I was facing. The "manager" without even really checking if she could - just told me she "could not help me" and went on her way. A young employee seemed more concerned than this "manager" did. The "managers" attitude about the emergency I was in was absolutely abhorrent. I visit this Wawa every morning and after the attitude and lack of compassion from this certain "manager" - I will NEVER be giving this location my business again. This location especially the one "manager" needs to be looked into. I'm not the only one who has experienced unpleasant unfortunate incidents with the majority of the employees carelessness here and I'm sure I won't be the last. Definitely avoid this Wawa! read more

Went to the new Wawa on Lanes Mill Road on Saturday at 5:00 for coffee and was disappointed to find only 4 coffees open out of about 10 and the coffee area was disgusting and sticky. Check out was fast and pleasant. Think I'll go back to my old Wawa on Newtons Corner Road that one is always meticulously maintained and has many coffee choices. read more

The counter people are VERY friendly...well, 95% which is SUPER!!. It is often busy because it is just a couple hundred feet from exiting the NJ Pky, exit 91... and so is the parking lot is congested ...even so, the parking lot (actually the people) seem(s) to have an extraordinary sense of courtesy, despite the traffic. I hear they bought the adjacent lot and are going to expand and sell gasoline. (I hope they enlarge the main building as it is rather small.) It currently has two port-o-johns outside which helps sometimes. Check your deli order as you always should before you leave (a sub was missing something I had ordered); but the subs are decent! I never bought one outside of an Italian deli or pizza place, and I was surprised...(but don't expect real provolone...even the pizza places won't put that on your sub...too costly). There is a free ATM (I think all Wawa's have them), as well as a lottery machine. Having a free ATM is super! Good marketing move. I was able to use my smartphone to pay for my purchase (I have an android and unfortunately do not remember the app I had used.) read more

I typically do not take the time to review convenient stores, but I've been frequently this location so often lately due to my busy schedule I decided to weigh in. This wawa is a community more than a convenient store. It's been here for over 30 years. It was a thriving business when my parents moved to Brick decades ago and is still quite the hustle and bustle of the town. This wawa is small, but they have the basics. I recall my mom asking my sister and I to take a WALK to this wawa during a number of snow storms growing up. It was quite the walk, but whether it was bread, milk, sugar, or even vanilla for baking it was there. The donuts are particularly yummy too. I remember my dad slipping us a few extra bucks to get some. They are still there! So are those warm breakfast sandwiches/pretzels at the counter. The staff is extremely friendly. There is one cashier I recognize from when I was in high school. That said, he's been there for years. He and all the cashiers are extremely pleasant. They also work fast. This wawa is located RIGHT off the park exit (91) so people are always coming and going, whether they are locals to Brick or just need some coffee and keep driving. The sandwich crew and coffee crew are on point. Fresh coffee, hot, and they never run out. They make conversation with you if you attempt, or leave you alone to decide whether you want the new "peru reserve" or that pumpkin spice which we all love. HA! The sandwich/deli crew is FAST. I've never had to wait long, despite there being a line. They almost always get your order right. I can't recall having to go back in and asking them to remake a sub, etc. This is quite impressive for the volume of customers this location gets. The customers are also always quite pleasant. I've had random conversations with people while adding some irish cream to my coffee or standing on line. I've had several gentleman offer to buy my coffee when I was struggling to find change and worried about holding up the line. People are always holding and opening doors for you. That is rare these days and very much appreciated. A few downsides, but improvements to come. The entire strip where wawa is located was torn down this past year or so to make room for a new parkway south entrance. ALL of the stores were bought out, relocated or closed, EXCEPT wawa. Basically, the parkway exits on and off are all built around wawa.... which I think is a true testament to how central it is to the area. I remember fearing they would tear down the wawa when they were doing all the construction and delighted it was still standing and OPEN the entire time! The parking lot is currently jammed and you need to drive CAREFULLY. However, they purchased the parking lot adjacent (behind the old rice king). I'm not sure if the intend to add a gas station or not, BUT, it is nice to have the extra space. I'd knock down this wawa a star because of the craziness of the parking lot, but that does not seem fair due to the fact that it's just the location. Plus, the extra lot now is a great improvement. Whether they build a gas station or not, I don't think it matters. There are plenty of places to get gas in the area. Just drive carefully, as one always should. Wawa is quite safe, too. It is open 24 hours but I've never seen anyone loitering. Brick police are in and out of wawa all the time, too. I avoid sketchy areas, this is not one of them. This wawa is old, small and compact, but it has all the basics. The staff is outstanding. The customers seem like family. I always walk out having an interesting conversation, a hot cup of coffee, and my favorite: one of their yummy salads. Super fresh. I recommend the cobb ;) Fantastic. I love wawa. I lived in the South for 6 years and Sheetz has nothing on wawa, and does not come close to this location. Stop on by!!! read more

this wawa is really good. there is a very creepy man who works here and has for the past almost 2 years. every day 2 years ago i'd go here before work and he'd always ask when i get off or call me pretty. which is weird because i was 14 and he was at least 22. i've recently been seeing him there again and he just creeps me out and says just creepy stuff to me still. there plant based options aren't plant based because every single one has either egg and cheese but at least there trying with the plant based patty. read more

Might as well revamp this too. Here we go! This is one of the much older locations that has been around for a really long time. It's actually smaller than the one that I usually frequent a lot in Avenel. This location doesn't have a gas station or a free air pump. The parking area is small and tight. Unfortunately I have to remove one star for this revamp due to the parking area reason. Despite the location being small, I was still able to maneuver around. They carried water, various sodas, ice creams, milks, juices, and fruit-flavored drinks. They also carried various potato chips and candy. Finally, they had an area for yogurt and prepared snacks in a "cooler" area. Of course, we can't forget about the self-serve coffee area with an additional iced coffee dispenser. They also had the deli area where hoagies and breakfast sandwiches were prepared. Specialty coffee drinks were prepared there as well. The deli and specialty coffee items had to be ordered from the touchscreen. Sometimes when I visit my relatives in the area, we stop here to grab something to drink. During the frigid weather, we grab a specialty mint mocha that's topped off with whipped cream. During the hot weather, we either grab an iced version of what was said before, or a mocha mint-flavored iced coffee from the self-serve dispenser. All of that tasted great, especially with the whipped cream on top of the specialty drinks. So tasty! The staff members here were always friendly every time we were here. The shelves here were always organized, too. Finally, the store's always clean. The location itself is perfect for those who want to grab something to eat or drink before hitting the Garden State Parkway, NJ-88, NJ-70, NJ-35, or the beaches. Came in on Monday November 4th, 2013 around 8 AM for a 6 inch Breakfast Shorti with Scrambled Eggs and Cheese for $4.19 with ketchup, mayo, peppers, and onions and it hit the spot. After opening the Breakfast Shorti --- I was rather impressed with the massive amount of food prepared by Mrs. Patel! She was spot-on. I have been going to this wawa for years. I must say the past few each has been terrible, tonight tops it where i need to post something. There was probably about three people in there and i came to get a blt sandwhich. First the sandwhich was completely not what I ordered, and while waiting the chef explained to the manager that the whole sandwhich is supposed to be toasted. Needless to say the manager said who cares and proceeded to hand me a blt with only bacon nothing else on a toasted bagel. This place is trash I will bever be returning. read more

#handsdownthebestwawaaround I just recently started coming to the area because my best friend loves here & just had a baby so I'm here I'm alMost every day during the week, I drive an hour and this is my first stop off the parkway, and let me tell you I'm blown away , the customer service is out of this world no matter what time of day you happen to go in, every single employee has a smile on their face and are beyond friendly, they go above and beyond . I've never walked in somewhere where every single employee greets you with a smile , even if they aren't involved in the transaction they still smile and greet u, they actually like to talk to the customers and get to know them , and are genuinely interested in what u have to say, what really amazed me was the second day I went in jamie S said to me do u want the vanilla in ur espresso or on the side. The fact that she remembered my drink order after 1 time was really sweet and it made my day, anything you ask is never a problem and they never give a hard time or attitude . Along with jamie s, Stacey , Allyson, kat, nick are the definition of customer service, they are all phenomenal and this wawa in brick now has a forever customer, I actually feel like a friend when I go in there because of how they engage, how are you how's your day how's the baby . Very convenient to the Garden State Parkway. Came in for a sandwich - service was fast, food was great as expected from a Wawa. Grabbed an iced coffee too. Location clean but based on a quick walk around the store, did not see restrooms advertised which would have been nice as we were on the road heading home in holiday traffic. read more

My friends and I unfortunately walked into this poorly stocked wawa tonight. Leaving feeling ashamed. The service has left a scar on our dignity to say the least.. The sharp glares the cashier gave us as we walked in stabbed us, and left us practically bleeding. My friend (we will call him Charmekka) got a slurpee and we got some protein bars and a bag of True North™. Slurpee was watery and tasted like flat soda. As Charmekka leaded us to the register the cashier unleashed a dark vortex of hate and we had to fight it off with the power of light and friendship. Like some real Sailor Moon or Rainbow Bright type stuff. She didn't even laugh at our jokes when we were getting rung out and thought I was trying to steal my bag of True North™. Which I would never do because those sweet granola clusters saved my life (see other Yelp review) but anyway, I'm just really disappointed with the poor service, cold coffee and curdled creamer I was forced to use. That woman should be fired so this Wawa can shine like the beacon of hope it is for the community. Definitely NOT letting the children go here anymore read more

Hello Charmekka again, here to share another bad experience with the community. as a long time resident of Greenbriar, the grandkids and I frequent this wawa and always walk away with a salty taste in our mouth. and that's only if we get lucky... this wasn't one of the lucky times. we finished watching jeopardy reruns and decided to go on an L before desert. my girl Sheryllynch rolled up in her 1965 neon yellow ford pickup with a closed bed. you know she got dem rims too. I was with my 2 grandkids Helen and claude then we headed off to wawa for a wine game and some mocha monster (even though my doctor tells me not to drink them anymore since I'm 78). they've been doing construction around the wawa for weeks now making me concerned about public safety. as we walked to the door a man opened it for us and shot an evil grin our way.., concerned for the children I went first, the man barely hesitated to kick my cane right out of my hands and laugh as I struggled to pick it up. the employees inside payed no attention to my struggle and ignored the tears of my grandkids. Sherryllynch didn't hesitate to start boxing the man as we were inside grabbing our things. some pretentious b!sh assaulted my 2grandkids just to grab herself a skim milk. again ignored by employees. at the register I brought up the fact we were assaulted in the store twice and the cashier did not want to hear it. he ripped off my wig out of frustration!!! we Ieft without paying for the blunt. my grandkids were raised right so they were already outside finishing off that guy with sherrylllynch. but out of nowhere his homie rolled up and spit on sherryllynch!!! I quickly turned on the car and picked them up quick as they were fighting, we drove over the construction rubble as we sped off. Helen and Claude rolled up that wine game and as it was sparked we got a flat tire!! it was a a nail or something from that gosh darn construction!!! had to drive back to Greenbriar with the tire sparking the whole time... all 4of us curled up In my bed and cried ourself to sleep. we didn't even get desert after that L.. why wawa, WHY..
