I drove all the way here to get the beyond meatball sandwich. The place had more people in there than I expected but got everything I needed in a timely manner. The place was clean and put together. This location also has a gas station. They had different choices of the beyond sandwich but only like 1 full vegan choice. You can also customize a sandwich as well. It was pretty good but had a tangy aftertaste from the marinara sauce. The price wasn't too bad either. read more

Okay, now can we say AWESOME. I don't know if it's that this establishment is fairly new or if it's just plain awesome?!? It's greatly lit and feels clean when you walk in. I'm usually a Quick Check patron (ease of access on the way to work), however, I may start to make a bit of a detour! Pros: -Plenty of parking -You can gas up while you get your morning cup of joe -Establishment looks super clean (weird, but even the air seems fresh lol) -Selection of items to buy is astounding (I was in awe and kept walking around unsure of what to buy lol) Cons: -Located on a busy street (However, there's a side street entrance and exit for the non-thrill seekers) read more

Wawa - It's back!!! - Gas Stations Near Me - Avenel, New Jersey

Ok, this is my go to place when we come back to NJ. The Itailan sub is great and always spot On. Well tonight they ran out of onions? Not sure this is possible when you can go around the corner and get an onion from the grocery store? This isn't something they just ran out of as it was in the computer. They also ran out of other things but I didn't want any of those things. The service was very good and the sandwich was still very good. read more

I went yesterday during their "Grand Opening" day. We got cheap gas there, and the attendants were very friendly. They actually had a lot of gas pumps there, plus a free air pump as well. Inside the store, we were warmly greeted by the employees. They were very nice and patient. The store itself looked big and clean, and had a lot of snacks, baked goods, drink options and more. Their self-serve and specialty coffees were delicious. The location is very convenient for those like myself who have to travel on US-1 and NJ-35 in the Central Jersey area. I definitely will be back for more fuel and coffee. Cheers! read more

Walk in to this Wawa trying to get a coffee and I see and big sign "ANY SIZE " coffee $1 ... but I only cups available is 12oz and 16oz .. and I asked a guy who brewing coffee no size 24 oz .. he said no .. but he gave me a nasty look Then I bought 2 bagel with "Extra" cream cheese but the cream cheese look less then regular order This store really low in budget.... Really disappointed read more

You need to set up more then one air pump station. I recommend it please. I wait in line for 10+ minutes. And service it!!!!!!!!!! read more

This is a smaller Wawa than the one about a mile down route 9. I like coming here because the employees always recognize me and it's in less of a busy area, so I know I can get in and out quickly. It's also where I come when I need air in my tires, because the one on route 9 by the parkway always has a line for air. The only issue I have with this location is they're not as well stocked, or tend to run out of items more often than the other one. Not ideal, but whenever I need to go up route 9 for any reason, I head to this Wawa. read more

Wawa - Gas Stations Near Me - Avenel, New Jersey

Been to this Wawa a few times when going to work.... One was to get gas... A few other times was to get coffee and to use the atm... No complaints.... read more

I love you Wawa. Your subs are better than most fast food chains, your make your own coffee station is quick and simple, your bathrooms are well kept and the service is great. Stay great. Love you Wa Ps. They sell quick breakfast things in the morning, the turkey sausage on a bagel is BOMBBBB, they also have mac & cheese platters, quesadillas but the sandwiches and subs are the most famous to try. read more

Wawa is in a league of their own. Incredible hoagies and a diverse selection of other products and beverages. I like to stick to the Wawa brand. Their double Dutch chocolate milk is insanely good. They don't make it in a size other than a pint. That is because it is sooooo good and doesn't deserve to be compared to other types of milk. One of my friends told me it's like drinking ice cream. Either way, Wawa employees tend to be some of the coolest people on earth and they always open two or three registers when lines get too long. Their system works and it is paying off. I must spend 30% of my spendable income here. read more

Not a very good experience today. Just got a sandwich about an hour ago and marked a special order, the guy never asked me what it was.. I noticed he was making mine and asked and let him know I had a special order he looked at me as if I bothered him and then fixed it for me. I went to pay and came back to get my sandwich asked for a side of the cherry pepper relish and the horseradish the girl standing there didn't know what I was even talking about as she rolled her eyes at me walked by the dressings and said "ok what do u want" in a not so nice tone. The sandwich tastes good but was the attitude really necessary? I'll go to the one by Walmart in hopelawn instead for now on. Customer service is everything! read more

I don't like reviewing places like this one but since I have been checking in here every other day for one reason or other--might as well. This is a brand new wawa store that opened about a month ago; prime location off route 1 with plenty of parking. The reasons I visit (or anyone should stop by here): Great coffee (for a $1 for limited time), free Air for your car, cheap gas, great sandwiches aka hoagies and just best convenient store compared to 711, Quick Check..etc. The place is very clean for now & well maintained. The folks who work here are friendly. As I mentioned above, they also have a gas station here which offers pretty cheap gas compared to other gas stations in the area. The big plus for me: they are open 24hrs so I can get decent late night snack after night of drinking! read more

I had hoped that the customer service would be better after not stopping here for 6 months. Nope. They are still rude, nasty, and barely speak to people that aren't regulars. I'm trying to pay and am getting ignored so the cashier can have a conversation with the previous customer. Um, I might have things to do ? Multitasking, I guess they don't know thee. All these other glowing reviews ? Ignore them, they are from people that live in the same town and have all their lives. I'll continue to visit the ones in Lawrenceville and Hamilton close to home, but this was the last time at this lousy location read more

They put chicken on my cheese quesadilla. I'm a vegetarian. My fiance` didn't catch it until we opened it after bringing it home. Clearly says cheese on the tag. Thanks for ruining my dinner; you get one star because you can't read, and i'm hangry. And when I called to try and bring this to their attention, they had a busy signal on the phone line that they advertise, for about 10 minutes straight. It's practically 2015- get call waiting for crying out loud. read more

This Wawa is in a prime location on Rt 1 North. Easily accessible from south going traffic by way of the light on Smith Street. Full service gas station with a large amount of pumps. Wawa will always have a special place in my heart. Amazing coffee, quesadillas, hand made beverages, cream cheese stuffed pretzels, breakfast sandwiches, and customer service. Unfortunately I have moved away from New Jersey and visit wawa every chance I get (even if it's a 2 hour drive). read more

Do u guys not know wth an order is?? When someone orders something u don't give them the wrong damn order plus expect them to pay still when u got the ENTIRE Order incorrect. Whoever u got staffed there needs to be retrained and learn how to do there job. This is the 2nd TIME I have ordered via uber eats and AGAIN u fuck up my order , how hard is it honestly?? If I order 2 drinks then give me 2 drinks NOT 1. If I order a specific sandwich why the hell cant u do it right?? Don't give me something else u don't know if someone has food allergies if I say no damn onions NO ONIONS!!!! And then u expect me to pay that?? Yeah no. Had to freaking speak to uber eats for a damn 2nd time for a FULL REFUND. U need to get ur shit together. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! read more

Tuna fish sandwich from a gas station? YES! oddly one of the best tuna fish sandwiches I've ever had.

I love this wawa. The store is new and clean. The people are friendly. The subs are delicious (and cheap right now during hoagie fest). And gas is cheap. I live close to a quick chek but would rather drive farther for a better deal, better device, and a better sub. read more

Definitely a good wawa. Very clean and neat (it's still new). Customer service here is great. I love the frozen beverages here. I love that the air pump is free to use to fill the air in your tires. Some places charge for that. read more

Pretty much your standard Wawa. The interior was very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and service was relatively quick at the hoagie counter. The cheesesteak I ordered was delicious and I would happily order again. The prices are very competitive and don't hurt the wallet. There is plenty of space for parking and a good amount of stalls for gas so you don't have to wait for other cars to finish fueling up. read more

God I love Wawa, but this joint particularly more. The sandwiches are off the chain, and they offer free air for your tires. You can't find that anywhere! In the history of sandwiches they only had one bad day. This new black chick they hired literally made my sandwich like a quesadilla. I was like...man is this a sandwich or a quesadilla? She had the audacity to tell me that's what it was supposed to look like. The other ladies were so nice and felt so bad for me they made me a brand new sandwich and made sure it was the way I wanted it. read more

Wawa is life...I'm really not kidding. I drive 15minutes almost every day just to go to wawa for gas, coffee, or a quesadilla, or beverage. Service is usually good, but food and beverages is always good. -Beef and cheese quesadilla with bacon, american, cheddar, steak, and pepper and sour cream. AMAZING -Mint Cookies and Cream Cappuccino. PERFECT -Sweet Cream filled pretzel. YES. literally. Just do it. -Coffee, the irish creamer is amazing and so are the coffee blends. If you ask which regular is the freshest they will let you know so you don't have to worry about almost cold coffee -Iced mocha mint coffee. YUM read more

When ever I'm in Nj I have to stop for wawa coffee I always stop at this one on the way to the Harley dealership nearby. It has to be done ! Friendly staff and amazing coffee and sandwiches and super clean. But that's all the wawa's I don't have time to review them all .... Or do I ? Either way they would all get 5 stars from me for the ones I visited never had a bad experience ! read more

good place for coffee and soft drinks, good choc croissant, great gas, huge parking, clean

Subs were fresh and delicious. Very healthy choices. Also ordered a mango smoothie which was fantastic. Great alternative for fast food.

Bring back the warm cookies!! They were delicious as with the sandwiches and hoagies. Should expand menu a bit more and it

It was a snowy night in Avenel on Dec. 9th 2017. Since I was in the area for work, I thought I'd stop by the infamous WAWA's to get a hoagie. I ordered my classic steak cheese via the computer and I went to pay for it at the counter. By the time I got back to the other counter to pickup my hoagie, the lady was wrapping my sandwich up. This entire transaction was about a minute and 30 seconds. There's no way the sub is fresh within that time. This was the nastiest steak and cheese I have ever had. The onions tasted old, like they were sitting for hours. This was a truly disappointing experience. I can tell you that I will never eat there again. The meat was warm instead of hot. I'm pretty this sub was old, but there was nothing I could do by the time i ate it. No thanks Avenel...Jersey proving again to be the armpit of the United States. read more

I always get the vege sandwich, jalapeño cheese doodles and wawa peach iced tea! Delicious.

This store is amazing. The staff is always so friendly, especially the manager. The food is always very fresh and the quality is miles ahead of its competition quick chek. Though I wouldn't really call it competition because Wawa is so much better. The food is also inexpensive where the quick chek up the road gets way too much for a sub or wrap, especially when the food isn't half as good as Wawa. I love this store and it's about time Avenel got a Wawa! read more

this store is filled with staff willing to go above and beyond for customers

I would give it 0 stars, but have to give a star to post. Horrible experience. Gas lines at every stall. I pulled behind a customer getting gas. He finished, paid and then put his car in park in the gas stall and got out to go into store while walking right by my car waiting behind him. Gas attendant watched the entire event and said/did nothing. Then when customer came out, he had a confrontation with the waiting police officer. After customer was told by Officer to get back in car the gas attendant felt the need to tell the customer I was cursing him out while he was in the store. I never said a curse word, I did beep my horn at the attendant and told him to go get the customer to move his car. I would love for management to pull the videos. After gas attendant told customer I was cursing him out, customer left car parked in stall and got out again telling Officer he was going to confronr me. After he left gas attendant would not wait on me, I had to wait for another attendant to assist me. Horrible that their employees would incite violence and confrontation between two customers. read more

I started going to Wawa as soon a it opened and was VERY happy with the employees, food, gas prices. Twice in July I noticed I had double charges for gas. I checked with my bank who denied me being reimbursed for $40 worth of gas I did not purchase. On two occasions in a day or so following the purchase of gas I was charged a second time. I do not know if it was a glitch in their system or if someone took my card number and bought additional gas. I've since stopped going to this store, started using BP for gas and Quick Check for little odds and ends. read more

i went in and ordered a sub and when i went back to my car and opened it it had lettuce instead of spinach on it. i went in and asked for it to be fixed and the lady Darinda handed it back to me and said "f*cking a**hole". i turned around and looked at her and she tried to play it off like she was making food. i said excuse me? then just kept my cool and left. read more

I must say the gas attendents are amazing but as for the inside of the store, never again. The first time I went in, I guess there was a very excited manager at the register and he proceeded to announce every single item aloud as he scanned and placed them in my bag which I thought was a little over the top and off-putting. Today was the second time I went in and a cashier? named NICOLE came to relieve another girl and was extremely unprofessional. As she was checking out the woman in front of me she was having a conversation with a manager about whether it was okay to drink and have ICEE's on the job. She never said have a nice day to that woman, hello to me, or have a great day to me either. That was the nail in the coffin for my times going to that WAWA. I will go back to the Quik Check a little up route one from now on. For a new store, I expected MUCH better customer service. Never again. read more
