Not such a great experience today. Very difficult to find a parking spot. Circled 3 times to find one. Went inside and the entire cold drink section was roped off and not working. A heads up would have been nice. There were options of cold bottles Sodas but I wanted a fountain drink or an iced coffee. Not a great way to start the day. read more

I remember all the excitement when Wawa came to Florida. I also remember thinking "Who in the hell would get deli food from a gas station?!" But, I was converted for a while, and lunch was the reason for my stop today. The Good: great variety of snacks, drinks, etc. to choose from. The self check out is efficient (I don't know why more people don't use this when I am there - are there THAT many people buying smokes?!). The coffee bar is awesome with the variety of coffees and accompanying creamers, sweeteners, etc. Although, I didn't fill up this time, the pumps usually always print out receipts (which my company requires); so it's nice to not have to go stand in line just to get one. I also appreciate that they have ethanol-free gas for my motorcycle! The Bad (and the basis for my 3 star rating): The inside was pretty dingy, particularly the bathroom (time to repaint the doors!). The veggie sandwich I ordered was sloppy, and messy to eat. And, for Pete's sake, how can we be in the south and places are dispensing pre-made, low quality tea. With a great coffee bar, Wawa everywhere should be offering brewed ice tea. read more

Wawa has certainly expanded its presence throughout Florida and that is certainly good news for Floridians, but for Floridians who relocated here from eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it was bringing a piece of home down here to the Sunshine State. Wawa is so much more than a simple gas station. Yes, it features a multitude of gas pumps offering competitive prices and I applaud them for offering air for your tires from an air pump that does not require a payment. Should be common sense, but most gas stations have decided that they can generate a few more dollars by charging people to put air in their tires. Wawa goes above and beyond in customer service by letting people get air without a surcharge. But for me and I would hazard a guess that endears Wawa to most of us is the food that they offer, mostly their subs (what they call hoagies due to their original locations). These subs, er, hoagies are freshly made 24/7 and many, myself included, have ended an evening festivities at a Wawa grabbing an end of the night snack in the form of one of their subs, hoagies, or whatever you want to call them. They have both hot and cold sub/hoagie things, as well as other foods like breakfast sandwiches, bagels, bowls, etc. I also have always liked their pretzels, available at the cash registers. Oh, speaking of their food, keep an eye out for Hoagiefest, where they offer any sub st a discounted price. Truly a good deal. So, yes, I recommend Wawa. I would almost climb a mountain to scream its praises for the four winds to carry to the far planets of this world (perhaps even going so far as to reach my home state of New Jersey). It was the day before a big lotto pay-off and I stopped in here to buy a ticket. To my dismay, they had an automated machine to purchase Florida Lottery tickets. And it only took exact change! It was really hard to figure out how to get the bonus numbers and all in all, I found the machine not intuitive or user friendly at all! I should have gone to Publix! The staff must have seen me struggling but they were fairly busy too, so no one stopped an helped us out. This location is the one I always HAVE to stop into for gas and coffee. The staff here are so hard working. I had to write a good review because I had wanted mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce from the self-serve shelf. They had ran out of the small marina cups so had the deli pour some of the marina meatball sauce into a bowl instead. Hot piping goodness. While I waited to check out, an older gentlemen with food allergies and cultural preferences to not eat pork was being given a comparable coupon for his meal item when the only selection for the discounted food was pork-based. This is a decent WaWa. It's busy, as most of them are. It's located right next to my favorite car wash which is super convenient. Right now it's Hoagiefest so all regular hoagies are $5 and shorties are $4. I do enjoy their specials. Make sure you download the app to get extra savings and earn points for rewards. Tomorrow is free coffee day which they do annually (and I always participate in!). Gas prices are usually comparable to other local gas stations, although my Sam's Club across the street is usually quite a bit cheaper per gallon. I did have an issue with a cashier not giving me back my change, but the manager fixed it right away without wasting time so kudos to him. There's a good selection of coffees, fountain drinks, and convenience items. And any size fountain drink is 99¢ which I like. read more

Seriously, anyone who doesn't "GET" the hype around Wawa, just walk in! It's the cleanest gas station/convenience store you will find! Wawa brings a lot of childhood memories. I always find an excuse to come by this location since is near where I live. I really dig the Egg White/Turkey Sausage bagels and their coffee is excellent! Their gas prices are very competitive. So WaWa is a great one stop shop. Grab some gas , a hoagie, a coffee and on your way. Like your typical convinience store they carry the same general drink, snack junk food and beer selections. I love WaWa though because they stepped up the conivinience store food to a whole new level. Sometimes I come here just for the food. They have these screens you order your food from and it gives you a ticket to pay at register. No waiting inline to order which is great. By the time you get back from paying your order is ready. Coffee bar is also nice, with great selection of flavors or blended drinks. Try the meatball hogie its delicious. read more

I love Wawas, but this one is awful. Every time I go here, there is something else wrong. Today, after chasing down the coffee server, we had to wait, AGAIN, for decaf coffee, and the flavored coffee machine was out of order. Then, they were out of most Sizzlies, and the ones on the shelf looked old. Next, we get to the counter and there is a looonnnnnnggggg line. It took a good 5 minutes before they opened another register. The place was filthy, and the area outside is disgusting, and REALLY needs a good power wash. Obviously really poor management! There's TONS of computers to make your order for a sandwich, tons of choices for side dishes too -- watermelon cubes, hummus, different sizes bags and brands of chips, macaroni salad! Hot and cold wraps and panini and sandwiches I think I could go here every day for months and never eat the same thing twice!! The shelves are kept well stocked, the coffee station clean and well stocked, and the staff prompt (if not a little short with people.) Main reason why it's only three stars is because I had a very simple un-toasted turkey sandwich with American cheese and lettuce. When I bit into the sandwich, the American cheese still had the white paper on it that it comes on. That simple sandwich and they couldn't even bother to take the paper off? I had to go through and take the paper off of every individual piece of cheese -- and I ordered extra cheese! So I probably won't order a sandwich from there anymore because it doesn't seem like they put a lot of care into making them, even if it was good after I took all of the paper out. We basically lived here when we were moving in as they were clean cheap and had plenty of food and water (and a beer fridge, yes!) Been several times for subs, which i can say are definitely better than subway but probably not as good as publix. My housemates eat from here probably too much, but i think they've had everything on the menu without complaints and the pretzel bites are teeny tiny bits of awesome with cheese.. the only thing i really have left to try are their soups, but come on.. it's june in central florida, it's too hot for that! Only complaints have nothing to really do with the store itself, the parking lot is often a mess from the plenty of through traffic and no one seems to pay much attention to the stop signs..and as someone who checks her MPGs every fill up, i seem to get just a smidge less when i fill up here. Check'em out for their cheap gas prices, the good food and the seriously ridiculously friendly staff and pick me up some lobster bisque i'm dying to try it! read more

The newest Wawa is located on the corner of 441 and Wekiva Springs Rd. in Apopka. The grand opening was just this past week but there was little to no fanfare. We stopped by, as our first Wawa experience, one evening for dinner. Yep, dinner at a gas station. This is Apopka right? We'd heard so much about Wawa that we were all looking forward to checking it out. The ordering system is pretty straight forward. There are several computer touch screen around. Just step up, follow the instructions to place your order, then take your receipt to the register to pay. It took a while to get our food but it seemed like the employees were still learning the ropes. We got subs and a cheese quesidilla. None of which was outstanding by any means. In fact, I'd put them right along with Subway, of which I'm not a huge fan. My turkey ranch sub seemed pretty bland. My husbands chicken philly had the most outlandish colored orange sauce I've ever seen. The cheese quesidilla was picey at $4 for just cheese. I think that people have fond memories of Wawa from up north but as a Floridian I'm not sure what the big deal is. I'll give them a few more tries (I'd like to check out their coffee and smoothies) but so far the Racetrac up the street has them beat! read more

I came in to get a sub....ONE sub. I waited for 40 minutes. I'm giving it 2 stars because they were sure to say "sorry for your wait" to everyone.... however, 40 minutes is unacceptable. If the people making the subs spent less time bickering amongst each other the process may have been faster. read more

This place serves me so well because first of all... It's a block away from my home. I like that they have hot food for you. Not just cold items. This store is open 24 hours for your convenience. The people there are all nice and do their job very well. I always get in and out easily. No problems there. read more

I love WaWa, it's different from other gas stations. Everything is cheaper (including gas). They have great coffees and iceies, and not to mention the fast food counter with delicious quesdillas and sandwiches that you order on a digital screen and they call you when it's ready!
