It was the most interesting haircut I've ever had and my hair is the smoothest it's ever been thanks to the unique way that he cut my split ends (he glided his scissors over the top of my hair to cut all those little split ends that stick out everywhere). Jerry was so proficient he made the job look easy - I KNOW from (many disappointing) experiences that my long, thick hair intimidates MOST stylists. Excellent establishment! Been looking for a salon and stylist that I could have full confidence in and believe I found just that here in North Carrollton. The Owner's passion for the profession is apparent in his dedication to the salon. The stylists are personable and truly listen to your request and work through any wishes you have. I have thick long hair which posed as a problem for other DFW salons. I'm relieved to say that it is no longer an issue now that I found Waves & Ripples. I came I'm at 11:30 with no appointment and they were able to get me in at 12:30 . I got a wash and cut by Brian and he did a good job. He's from Scotland which is pretty cool. After washing my hair he cut it and put milk shake leave in conditioner in my hair. He dried my hair and my hair was so soft. This is the best haircut iv ever gotten. The hair cut was $50. I also bought a wet brush and the milk shake conditioner. I would recommend you come here because you get a good haircut. They also do waxing services here. read more

Chanel is THE BEST! Having had several awful cuts over the past few years and not being able to find a stylist who I felt comfortable returning to, I'm soooo happy I found this place! I was immediately greeted and offered a beverage and everyone there was very courteous. Chanel was super sweet and patient with me, as I was scared to cut off so much hair (about 8 inches). Amazing! NEW High end salon with passionate and well educated stylist that will make you feel awesome. They offer your basic cut, fantastic coloring and color corrections (even speedy root touch ups!) and styles as well as Brazilian blowouts (this freaking crazy nice treatment that defrizzes and smooths and straightens your hair for up to three months! PERFECT now that it's getting warmer!!) gel-nails, wigs, makeup, EVERYTHING. Fantastic about getting you in same day or the next. They have a retail selection as well ranging from purses and bags to trendy jewelry and then of course hair styling products of the best quality. This is definitely one to check out. The owner is personable, and is always quick to offer a glass of wine. It's easy to get a walk-in appointment, but unfortunately it seems like they really push the stylists who don't have a lot of business. The two I've been to did not cut my hair like the photos I took in, they seemed to just trim the same style I had before, even though the photos were very different from my current cut. And it was over-priced. I wanted very natural highlights once and got a LOT of VERY blonde highlights so that I walked out a bleached blonde instead of having just a few nautral blondish highlights. They don;t seem to ever listen to what I want, and one time I complained to the owner but did not get a reply. (Update: I did receive a reply later.) The prices seem really high for what you get. One of the two stylists they kept putting me with was very friendly, but both seemed to have a problem carrying on professional conversations and I knew inappropriate details of their personal lives the first few minutes. All I wanted was to thumb through a magazine and get a good haircut, but these two stylists seemed to need an audience. One time a dog was running around, which seems kind of unprofessional. Some of the other stylists looked nice, though. read more

Such a great experience here! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I walked out with what I wanted. I was very specific with the look I wanted to achieve. I saw Brian. Told him what I wanted and it was not simple. I asked for a asymmetrical inverted bob..for starters. Then I showed him the look, different ways I wanted my hair to fall, how short I wanted one side, etc. He went in for the cut. I was going from long to short. I've done this before and the outcome has been me running home and locking myself in the bathroom (no joke). Not this time! It turned out fabulous! He went in cut, stood back checked it out and did his thing! It was evident he enjoys what he's doing and that is a bonus for the client! So glad I trusted him, it totally paid off! read more

I decided last minute to get my haircut while my husband could watch our kids. It's something I don't always get to do. I called, and was able to just pop in. I was a bit unsure how it would go. Would I like the stylist? Would I feel comfortable? Would my hair have just the right amount cut off, or would I lose way more than I wanted? Well, let me just say this...I have never found a salon before (be it a walk in great clips place or a high end $100 per haircut sort of establishment) that really made me feel both comfortable and very happy with my haircut. Brian was wonderfully friendly and did a beautiful job with my hair. I will be using them from now on! I am surprised more people don't know about this place. I am so thrilled that I found a place I am comfortable going to regularly! I'm really looking forward to it again. read more

This place is horrible and lie to me. i came to their store and told them that i need a perm for waving hair and showing them a picture to make sure they know exactly what i wanted. The guy Michael Goldberg said yes, yes, she would make you look beautiful. And after almost 3 hours later, the woman Chanel Abeyta gave me a very curly hair and she a greed with me she was wrong to listen to her instructor and still charge me 130$. The freaking stupid out of date owner , Brian Lannan tried to tell me that he has 50 years experience, he would help to correct his staff's mistake. And what he did was like ''sh...'' . Just make my hair look worst and worst. I have to wait a month later to fix my hair at another hair shop. Then i came back to them and showed them what is the perm then they asked me ''Where did you do that? Thank you to show us''. Freaking stupid and lie people in this store. They are the first white American people to be lie and cheating my 130$. It was happened about 1 week before New year of 2015. read more
