I went to Wave salon and spa for highlights and a cut. My highlights were done by Madison and my cut by Christie. They were both amazing! I was so happy that I recommended the salon to my daughter. Unfortunately Madison was out so my daughter had an appointment with Bianca (recommended by Dan the concierge as being amazing) and when she arrived she found out that Christie was sick so Bianca would be doing her cut. First she waited an hour. Then everything went to shit ! Bianca doesn't know how to do highlights.. she did them backwards creating a grid pattern all the way down and going way back from the roots... making very uniform orange stripes! My daughter had a Thanksgiving party... She had asked for very white highlights and that she had all the shades of color... and especially very orange areas... She asked her to lean over the sink... and put bleach on her! then dried it without rinsing, burning her hair ! just a disaster! an incompetent! then cut her hair without much art and dried it at full speed, wanting to finish it as quickly as possible... and specifying that she wasn't very satisfied with her result but that my daughter just had to use purple shampoo to improve it... and above all no apologies! and all this while charging her $300! to die for! when she asked for an explanation, she learned that she had been billed for a toner that had never been used, a treatment without having asked her opinion and for such a horrible result! You must run away from this Bianca!!! It's unacceptable! Having Dan's cell phone, I told him what had happened with my daughter, telling him that not only was the work horrible but the price was unacceptable! That he had taken my daughter for a pigeon... He called without ever apologizing, saying that he would fix the problem himself... I asked him to refund this deplorable service that will take months to recover with damaged hair and to fix. He answered either one or the other! What a lack of professionalism! The first thing to do would have been to apologize, to acknowledge this dirty work, to reassure and to find a solution! My daughter asked for a refund and went to Za Salon this morning. They were shocked to see that all the strands had been done in the wrong direction, orange all over the roots... They had to redo everything very carefully as best they could to repair... without touching the parts that were too burnt so as not to lose the hair. My daughter stayed 4 hours and paid $170! I will never go back to Wave even though I loved Madison and Christie because the attitude of the owner is unacceptable... making people pay bills without detail... with underqualified employees... what a shame! Now I understand better why this salon is empty... read more

This salon is top tier. Dan, the Head Concierge, called me back within two hours of reaching them. He sent a follow up text and left a voicemail. When we got a hold of each other, we talked for ten minutes to discuss budget, anticipated results, how long the appointment should take, and more. He is so warm, inviting, transparent and loving. They were able to get me in the next day with the lovely Bianca! When I arrived, they were waiting with smiles and excitement. During the first hour, we discussed different approaches, timelines, expenses and much more. Bianca and Dan were such a pleasure to spend time with on Christmas Eve. Now, for the process. The other stylist there that day, Jacob, helped brainstorm approaches to get me as blonde as possible that day. Bianca and Jacob worked together off and on to help me achieve the best results. They were so funny, inviting, relatable, non-petty/catty, and I felt at home. AND I received the results I wanted!!!! I was there from 9:30 am - 3:15 pm and never once thought that it took too long, nor did I feel I was a problem client. They were wonderful, patient, knowledgeable, and I felt over-the-top taken care of. I recommend them so highly and I will be back in a couple of weeks for a different type of service. They are exquisite, and treated me like family, and for that I thank Dan, Bianca, and Jacob. I look forward to spreading the word through text and word of mouth!!! I recently visited this salon for the first time, and I was impressed! I needed a last-minute haircut, and I was thrilled to find an appointment available on a Sunday, which is rare for salons. Dan greeted me with a warm smile and an abundance of positive energy, making me feel instantly welcome. His personable nature and enthusiasm were truly uplifting. He gave me a tour and explained the variety of services they offer, showing that there's something for everyone. The salon itself is inviting, with tasteful décor and impeccable cleanliness--clearly well-maintained. Madison cut and styled my hair. I shared my preferences, and she suggested some subtle changes that I absolutely loved. Despite being typically shy, I found myself chatting with her comfortably throughout the appointment. I have been in search of a place in St. Aug for *good* threading services that was open during my availability for quite some time. They're few and far between, often with a long wait time for an appointment. Not at Waves though!! They're open literally 7 days a week, 9am-9pm. You send the owners a text, and they will slide you in a spot between scheduled appointments if there's an empty chair. The owners' dedication to client satisfaction, the talent of their stylists, esthetician, and massage therapists, has me coming back to this full service salon for more than just threading now! And talk about an atmosphere! Incredibly welcoming, happy, peaceful, CLEAN, and fresh! LOVE, LOVE this salon/spa! Best hair cut I've had in years! I typical go to higher end salons and stylist but Christie takes it to the next level. Today I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Jake. Absolutely fantastic experience! Jake is a master when it comes to his craft! He did a full head of highlights and low lights. Took my breath away and made me feel like I was ten years younger. He is very knowledgeable and helpful when you ask questions. Jake not only did my hair but also my two children. My lovely appointment this morning only took a few hours. I did have a lot of complicated things done like a haircut, shampoo and conditioning, and then a blowout. Also, I had to have my blonde hair color repaired. My previous stylist was using cheap products (I assume) because my hair went from white frosted blonde to orange and brown.
