Carry your meat to the car (which helps with screaming kids) and always remember who you are. The meat itself is amazing. My partner is a raving hippy so for her it has to be 'organic'. Me, I don't care, as long as its red, dead and juicy I'll eat it. But the different sorts of cuts and marinates really spices up our barbies and makes 'us' look like 5 star chefs! Mmmmm....meeeeeat.

There's lots of marinated / ready to cook options, and the fridge holds speciality packaged products and incredible hams. But what I saw when I walked in was the childrens drawings on the wall, the certificates of appreciation from local community groups and the butchers greeting customers by name. Give them a few days and they'll do specialty requests (boned turkey saved me a lot of effort) and they are great at making recommendations. If you live in this area you really shouldn't be buying your meat from anywhere else.

Our experience of the quality of the meat itself is that it is probably some of the best we've found on the northside of the city and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. In particular the lamb that we've purchased has been exceptional. I quite happily stock up here and feel like I'm getting good value for money and supporting a local business in the process.
