As a family run business, the service reflects this. It's not too much trouble, as other Yelpers have mentioned, for the team to help you carry your shopping to the car. You get a choice of bag or box and there's a small section at the front of the store perfect for stocking up on slightly blemished produce for smoothies or juice. I most recently bought a bag of pineapples for $5 that have been well used in smoothies this week and even a chicken dish for dinner. There's also a small area for organic and gluten free flours, coconut oils, yoghurts, cheeses etc. All in all Charlie's is a one-stop shop and great for a weekly produce shop or for the one-off "I've run out of..." type of stop in. If you're not keen on driving to Everton Park, they also have online ordering with a flat $5 delivery.

There's a small selection of dairy-free cheeses, yoghurts and ice creams, as well as other vegan food options. We decided to get something to snack on from the cafe section. I chose a falafel which, after reading another user's review, I realize I should have asked if they were made that morning because it was cold (which I wasn't expecting) as well as soggy. Unless it was freshly made, I wouldn't recommend it. My sister ordered the banana "nice-cream," which was sinfully creamy and somehow still 100% dairy-free. Even the chocolate drizzle on top fooled me! We also got a few of their smoothies, all of which had the option of being organic (for an extra charge) or regular. Overall, it was a fairly pricey but deliciously healthy mini meal. There's a lot of hype to this place but I think it's well-deserved - worth a visit!

I would definitely suggest buying one of the special $2 curry paste block things. They are AMAZING! It's a shame they put an English nutrition tag over the instructions on how to use but you can peel it away. But yes best way to make incredible home made Japanese Katsu style curries! They do some great organic products and have some decent prices on Japanese frozen and chilled products (like various tofu). They intermittently have fresh vegetables but if you are a rice eater then the bulk quantity bags are definitely worth the money! The couple of staff I've seen there are fantastically friendly.

There are dips, meat, breads, and cheeses to choose from to go with the very nice and very fresh fruit. Though it can't compete on a size scale with larger chains of fruit sellers and the likes of Coles and Woolworths, this little place has some great stuff at really excellent prices. A ridiculously large of behemoth strawberries only cost me $6 and at the rate I go through strawberries, that's exceptional value. Their produce is fresh and a really great alternative to chain stores if you like supporting local suppliers and sellers.

Don't worry, there's still rows upon rows of sumptuous produce for you too, I was just a little over-excited to see such a large variety of allergy-specific foodstuffs. This deli is huge, and it's easy to get lost in aisles of towering cheeses; pasta sauces; ready-made and ridiculously healthy meals; gourmet ice cream, gelato and sorbets; and olive oils. Seriously, there are so many varieties of olive oil, it's hard not to believe you're in Italy. But the best part? The huge selection of gluten-free muesli (yes, there is the Byron Bay's own Brookfarm Muesli [though exceedingly expensive it is outrageously delicious]) as well as dairy-free gelato and the gluten-free pasta. And it's not just the spaghetti which is gluten-free, it's everything from squid-ink pasta to tagliatelle. As for the deli section WOW, I love love love it. The antipasto selection is vast and all super tasty. I am not someone who likes olives, in fact I can be found discretely trying to spit them out, however the olives from zone fresh are delicious and you can find me fighting for the last one! Definitely try the stuffed olives with brie and sweet chilli. You can also order platters from zone fresh. I have ordered some for this weekend so i will report back. The butcher section is also fantastic. The meat, poultry etc is all delicious and great quality. You can get some handy hints from the butchers for recipes for dinner. I also love the oil selection in zone fresh. My husband is a chef so likes to experiment with different things. This store is a cave of treasures for him to create culinary delights. Don't expect to get things cheaply in zone fresh but do expect the best quality and service.

Tonnes of parking downstairs and a BWS on the way out to reward yourself for going shopping instead of getting Maccas (again) with a bottle of Pinot or cheeky 6 pack.
