I mean, how often have I decided after 6 that I want something from Woolies on the weekend? Often (on account of my love for snacks). And you know what? They're open until 7pm. But that's just weekends. Weekdays they're until 10pm. TEN PEE EM! That's fantastic. Also the staff aren't intrusive, and it's a good sized Woolies so it has everything you need. Parking isn't difficult and it's not overcrowded. All in all a good woolies. I suppose the only thing that has stopped me from making it a 5 start shop is the fact that the staff aren't fantastic. They're not bad either though. So you know, if you're around near the airport I'd definitely make it your grocery store!

Zoom out to 'Skygate', 'DFO', whatever you wanna call it, and Woolies is there for you. 24 hours! I'll admit, it's a bit out of the way, but it's not really that far. Watch the signs though, it's easy to end up in the wrong lane and on your way out to the airport, the Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast.

My better half gets so impatient with me, because I'm known to turn into a slack-jawed, drooling, indecisive-zombie-cheese-charcuterie-fiend. He inevitably makes our choices ;) Yes. Things like milk, bread and like staples are more expensive if I've got to make an emergency dash. But they open at 6am and close at 7pm. Every single day. It's worth the convenience...and goodness knows I love me some predictability! The staff are the icing on this tasty, tasty cake. If I had to pick one reason it would probably be Home Brand vs Black and Gold. But honestly, Nundah Woolworths - can you please train your staff up on their customer service skills? Two examples: Telling the checkout girl that her hair clip was nice and receiving and eye roll in return. No thank you. No verbal response at all. Disgusting. On a different occasion a lady next to me had a 'staff assistance required' message on her self serve checkout. She asked the female staff member (different person to the first girl) for help and was ignored. Her young daughter asked for help and was ignored. I, who was standing closer, raised my voice a bit and addressed her in my school teacher voice. Honestly, if I need to address you in a school teacher voice for you to do your job then you're not in the right career. I'm sick and tired of terrible service at places. But this Woolies does have everything you need. So get in, get out, and don't expect quality service.

It's also next door to a butcher which is super convenient. There are all the fruits, pasta's, cheeses and sauces you could hope for. Plus it's a pretty convenient location, on the way to the city if you're going out and need to take anyhting. I didn't notice that they cut their own meats or cheeses, but once again next to a butcher so you may have that sorted there. The staff are friendly, the shop was easy enough to get around, and I was able to buy some fresh flowers out the front. All in all a nice place to visit and next time I feel like a nice tapas plate I'll be going there.

(I'll post the photo) However, some dairies are expired (that's why they are quite cheap), so check the best-before dates! The staff, esp cashiers, are friendly. It opens 7 days a week. The building has a big parking space and other shops (fishmonger's, cafe, bakery, bottle shop, hair salon, etc.).
