Over the years, with one kid who was born with craniofacial defects and another kid who has sleep issues and large tonsils, we've seen many ENTs. This is when her entire demeanor changed. She refused to send an order for the scan, even though my insurance covers it and said that she would know exactly what she was dealing with during surgery! She didn't consult with my prior hernia surgeon nor did she order labs. I have been sent a bill twice for $364.00 (palpation consultation) due to an error with their billing department as my insurance covers the entire service. I would not recommend this business.

She explained my situation and was told I could be seen as a cash-paying patient, so an appointment was scheduled. On the morning of my appointment--just a few hours before I was supposed to be seen--I received a call from the office informing me that they had only then discovered I have a MemorialCare HMO. I was told that because they are contracted with my HMO, they could not see me as a cash patient and that I would have to go through my primary care physician for a referral. I explained that I was happy to pay cash, but I was told that wasn't an option. My frustration is not with the physicians. It is with the office staff and the scheduling process. Insurance verification and referral requirements should have been addressed when the appointment was made--not a week and a half later, just hours before my visit. ENT appointments can already take weeks to obtain, especially when you're dealing with ear pain, hearing loss, and a clogged ear. Because this wasn't handled properly from the beginning, my care has been delayed, and now I have to start the referral process all over again. As a chiropractor who has owned and operated a healthcare practice for many years, I understand that mistakes happen. However, this was a preventable administrative error that caused unnecessary frustration and delayed medical care. I hope the office improves its scheduling and insurance verification process so other patients don't have the same experience.

Staff is rude and lacks any semblance of empathy. When I showed up for my appointment for a CT scan I was informed there were no techs at work that day. Mind you the week and day prior I received emails and texts to confirm the appointment. At the desk they told me that they had been calling everyone with CT scans scheduled to cancel appointments but I never once received any form of contact from them. Mind you this location was not close to where I live and I only scheduled here because my neurologist recommended the company for the sake of cost and because this location was the only one with openings to get a CT scan done before I move out of the area. The lack of care, empathy, and integrity shown by this company is utterly unacceptable, unprofessional, and inappropriate. I will NEVER come here again and will NEVER recommend them to anyone for fear of people I care about being treated just as poorly if not worse than I have been treated. On top of all that, while waiting in there lobby I witnessed the front desk girl, I believe her name is Crystal, tease, mock, and make fun of a customer as he expressed frustration about them never sending out his test results regardless of how many times he keeps trying to get them to do so. This place is vile, unprofessional, and so undeserving of business from anyone. DO NOT EVER go here to have anything done and DO NOT EVER trust anyone who claims this place is good. Another note, if you see a positive review about this company, be wary as many look blatantly scripted and written by staff to boost their ratings and feel like a mockery of the feelings of mistreated patients. I made an appointment with them month in advance. I had insurance authorization as well as doctors order. Called them multiple times to make sure everything was in order and we were all set for our appointment I was guaranteed that we were all set and nothing else was needed from me. Waited for this appointment all month and 3 DAYS before the appointment this chick calls me and tells me they don't take my insurance. Like B*tch where were you all month. Why was I ensured everything was good to go. You guys even had insurance authorization. Wt f is this place. Is this a joke to you? Get your shit together. They are contracted with radnet and a formal complaint was also sent there and BBB for further further investigation of this foul play by this company. I have been going to this office occasionally for years. I actually walked in telling my mom, I don't like this office, and they have bad reviews. BUT!!!! Today was AWESOME, entire staff gracious and appreciative to all patients. They were very informative to all and gave details to where else they could go, if their office didn't have a particular test available. When I arrived, I began removing my jacket, watch, and jewelry simply to be cooperative. Derrick immediately became confrontational and started raising his voice, saying, "I already told you that you don't need to take off your watch and ring." This was not someone being direct or having a bad day. His tone, body language, and overall demeanor were aggressive enough that the interaction felt genuinely and completely inappropriate for a healthcare setting. I walked in calm, respectful, and friendly as I always do and was treated with open hostility from the start. Patients should never be spoken to or treated this way. Professionalism and basic respect cost nothing. Update: Upon the unbelievable interaction with the tech on Friday, I spoke with Shari the patient coordinator at Crown Valley Imaging and ask for a copy of my report once it became available and it arrived today Monday. Dr. Chang reviewed my sleep apnea test with me over two months ago, and together we selected a CPAP machine. Since then, I have heard absolutely nothing. After multiple follow-up calls, I was repeatedly told that the delay was due to my insurance company not approving the equipment. When I contacted my insurance directly, they informed me they could not authorize something that had never even been submitted by the office. On top of that, the patient portal constantly has problems, making communication even harder. Sleep apnea is a serious medical condition, and delays like this can directly impact a person's health and quality of life. Patients should not have to chase down basic medical follow-up or discover on their own that paperwork was never submitted. My advice: pick up copies of your exam results and consider seeing another pulmonologist.
