If your band is borderline big time then do not see them here. The upstairs spot is the place to go. My wife and I say Flatland Cavalry in 2023 here and it was maybe 60% full so we had a lovely time. Fast forward to 2025 the place was packed with young (less than 25) year olds. My wife and I were hit with rocks from the gravel floor three times of course security couldn't figure out who it was. Then after we were hit twice with drinks that were thrown we decided to leave and don't think we'll be coming back. read more

Saw a fantastic outdoor concert tonight! Gov't Mule did not disappoint. The weather was perfect and the passing trains added a fun element to the experience. Parking was a breeze and free. Plenty of fun food and drinks in the area prior to the concert. We chose reserved seating and I was glad to have a seat if I wanted it. The entire venue is relaxed and there was plenty of open seating and room to stand in large or small groups. Alcohol prices weren't terrible and they ticket price was well worth the experience. read more

I am so disappointed in this Venue. The Lines to get in were not organized at all. Then I am told that my vaccination wasn't done long enough ago. After reviewing the bands statement it was written that negative test OR proof of vaccination but NOTHing about a time restraint of said vaccination. read more

We went for a concert and it felt like they were under staffed. I don't think the restrooms were ever checked because the trash was over flowing, floors were covered in paper towels, No paper towels to dry your hands and no toilet tissue to use. read more

DISCRIMINATION. LACK OF EMATHY. FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE APPROPRIATELY. BAD BUSINESS MODEL. This business lacks general understanding in how to properly communicate to guests attending their shows. They state you MUST visit all social media platforms, not their actual biz website (so why do you have it) to gather all necessary information regarding attendance to their shows. This is unacceptable and not how you run an event based business in today's day and age. We were discriminated against for not having proof of vaccination. We were denied entry to Incubus because come to find out proof of Vax was a requirement for entry. NO WHERE does it state on their actual website procedures for attendance, or we would have come prepared. I was told by Brandon their manager during my call today, that i needed to click on the Incubus event for full disclosure on procedures and protocols. How? Incubus wasn't even on their Event Calendar. Instead he kept referring back to we purchased from a third party, and how were we to know? We had tickets to your venue. We did our part to find out more about the Wave venue after purchasing our tickets from the first ticket seller when we found out about this concert. This was our first chance to attend and we were so excited. But failure to provide ANYTHING on their website regarding COVID and their protocols ended with us being told NO, YOU AREN'T ALLOWED IN without proof, in front of hundreds of other attendees. We had masks and follow cdc guidelines without fail. But it wouldn't be enough because they needed proof. Unfortunately COVID is spreading to those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated. And to be discriminated because we didn't know we needed a Negative Test or our Vax card to attend -- appalling. Apparently these "requirements" are left to the bands discretion and the Wave is "private". Private meaning they get to determine who is worthy and who is not, WITHOUT physical communication I guess. Just visit every other avenue they post on, unacceptable. HAVE YOU BEEN DENIED ENTRY BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T KNOW?? PLEASE SPEAK UP! WE KNOW WE WEREN'T AND HAVE'T BEEN THE ONLY ONES LEFT DISAPPOINTED, EMBARRASSED OR DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. CALL AND LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD. Apparently we are the ONLY ones ever having called to file a complaint on the matter. OR LEAVE YOUR OWN REVIEW! So others know what to expect from this business. So. I totally understand the staffing issues many places are dealing with. However at the Musiq Soulchild concert last night the wait times to get a drink were completely ridiculous. Businesses adapt during these trying times, and Wave has yet to do so. I missed an entire opening act's performance because I had to sit in line waiting for drinks. Close to 45 minutes. If you can't provide a full service bar, then maybe you should discontinue cocktail service completely. Just served beers and seltzers. Waiting more than 5 minutes for service is bad. 45 minutes for service should get your establishment shut down. So, it's better to not provide service at all if you can't do it correctly. read more

Yo! This place has $15 mimosa buckets & their breakfast is so good! It's definitely a must to check. They don't have a wait stuff to take your orders you'll have to go to the bar. This place is low key but with good company it's so much fun. Kids are welcomed from what I was able to see. read more

Very limited seating, even when featuring bands that appeal to the more "middle aged" crowd. Not everyone can or wants to stand for 3 hours. Drinks are very expensive. It's really a very nice space, both indoor and outdoor, but the management needs to realize that the set-up should be different for more mature bands vs DJs and heavy metal. read more

It's a terrible venue. The sound quality is terrible. The drinks are watered down and over priced. The staff was more worried about drinking on the job then doing actual work. The staff was very disrespectful to the band that was playing. I will not be going back. There is also an issue with kids up on the railroad track. They will throw rocks down at people that are outside. One person had to go to the ER and get stitches when a rock hit him in the face. Again security didn't seem to care and didn't do anything to warn others out there or try to get the kids off the track. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Gov't Mule Concert was the best outdoor concert...I have seen in Years! Tonight we had a little wind 80 deg weather. Great Band with the train track beside the venue passing by at least 7 maybe 8 times and the conductor's would chime in with the band with the train horn...it was so cool! read more

Such an amazing venue! Very unique, original, and unlike anything Wichita already has. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the drinks are great. The events that have been booked have been impressive so far. I am excited to see what Wave has to offer in the future. With an inside and an outside stage, this a must see venue! read more

Wave is just what Wichita needed. They bring in a variety of quality music and the place and staff are great. Have seen multiple bands there since it opened and plan on seeing many more. read more

I loved this place. It was smooth getting into the venue but still felt safe and secure. The separate area (bar and restroom) for the pit customers versus standard admission was absolutely worth it. I'd go back if ever in the area again. read more
