Awful! Don't waste…read moreyour money! One of those times you legit wish you could give 0 stars. We purchased through Groupon. Our class (my two friends, my husband, and me) was supposed to be with the owner, Dan Miller. He was unbelievably rude. I've never been treated like that. My husband and I use N95s in public because I teach high-risk kids and because we don't want to get sick, either. He asked if we masked because we were concerned, and I said we were not sick but masked because I teach high-risk students and don't want to be the one to make a kid sick. My friend and I went to the bathroom before the class started. When we returned, people were filling out paper waivers. I said we had done one online and he said he also wanted a paper one. Ok. We signed and handed it back and he started being so rude to my friend because she didn't put her email and phone. She took back the form and added it, but apparently below the line where he wanted it and he started BERATING her for not following directions (the spot in which to write was small and she missed it and wrote in white space). He was, quite frankly, abusive. He then turned to me and went off about how we should return when we were not sick. I said again we were not sick, but we always masked because I was a teacher. He then repeated how he didn't appreciate us coming sick, and really started insulting me as I tried explaining, for the third time, that I wasn't sick and hadn't been sick in five years. It was so unpleasant. I've never been berated like that by a business owner or employee. We left. He threatened he was going to make sure Groupon wouldn't refund our money. I mask to protect myself and others, especially my students. But, from reading reviews, it isn't just that he's opposed to masks; he's just a massive jerk all around, especially towards women.

This is a very hands-on class and it can be a little challenging, but there are many different piece selections you can choose from. Would definitely try again. Austin was our instructor. He was great.

I did my first on a groupon with a group of…read more3 friends at Fox and Hound in Cleveland and a second at Game (a bowling alley) in Euclid. The canvas, paint, aprons, brushes, etc are provided for whichever session you schedule yourself for. When you go to the Paint Nite Cleveland website, they have the instructor and the painting that they're doing, which bar or location it's at and the difficulty of the painting. Choose whichever floats your boat. When you're at the event, you're walked through it by the instructors step by step. If you want to change a color during it, go for it (I've done it twice). If you have questions, they answer it. Tons of fun and you walk out with your work of art. Side note, look for a groupon or living social deal, so worth it. If you don't have one, look for a code online. I haven't paid full price yet!!

The location was cool in the enclosed patio at this jazz restaurant in Cleveland Heights. Parking is problematic but there is valet for 6$. The aprons were not in as good condition as my experience at a wine and canvas event. I did not really care for the break about an hour into painting or for the photo session after the activity, they just prolonged the outing but without the focus on painting or artistry. But I think its a great girls night out kind of event. I had trouble coordinating a large group and next time I wonder if I call directly it may be easier. The groupon deals make this very affordable and I just noticed yelp also offers 35 perc off as well! I would try it again for as a group outing. I liked the final product.

Wow! I am so smitten with Lakewood Art Studios! How did I, lover of all things handmade, not know…read morethis was here?! I was taking a yoga class at nearby Puma Yoga when I randomly noticed Lakewood Art Studios and decided to wander in. What a pleasant, pleasant surprise. Lakewood Art Studios is an artist collective, education and event space in Lakewood. I'm spitballing from memory, but they feature maybe 30+ local artists. Think the most unique pieces of jewelry, art, greeting cards, ceramics and other odds and ends thoughtfully curated in a gallery. You constantly have things to explore and no two things are the same. For me, buying handmade local artisan goods is my weak spot. Seriously, take all my money now. They also offer a variety of classes ranging from photography to portrait drawing and a comic book club, all held in the small classrooms in the back of the shop. This is a pretty special place. I was in a bit of a rush when I visited, but I am already planning to go back out to Lakewood to specially spend more time in Lakewood Art Studios appreciating all the one-of-a-kind pieces. I'll come here to discover new artists for my collection or buy stunning, original gifts for friends!
