They had complimentary fruit and coffee/tea available. I did not buy anything from their snack stand, but it was fully packed with all those travel favorites. A unique option about this hotel is that it had a grill and firepit on their patio. We just had to get the all clear from the attendant to use them. We stayed in a 4th floor king room that had a full fridge, stove top, dishwasher, work knook, and mini couch. The bathroom was spacious but there was not a tub and the toilet seat was a hard close so that caused some noise. The bed was comfortable and sheets/towels in the room were very clean. The tv was semi smart so you could log in to Netflix or Amazon prime if you wanted. Breakfast in the morning was standard continental: cereal, yogurt, breads, sausage, omelet, waffle, potatoes, and breakfast sandwiches. The staff was there cleaning and refilling the items so everyone could enjoy This hotel is accessible, but the doors were very heavy (which is great for safety).

I really appreciated having a suite with accommodations, including a fridge, dishwasher, desk and TV I could plug a computer into. Made spreading out and doing work a breeze. (I was in what they call a one bedroom so the bedroom is separate from the living space allowing me to have a colleague stop by and talk shop without being in a bedroom, which would be weird.) The staff is really friendly and helpful. Like, all of them. And they have a small conference room as needed. The place stayed busy with groups in and out. Has a nice outdoor seating area, including grill space and fire pit. The only change I would make is that the front patio allows smoking, so not being a smoker myself, it could sometimes be less pleasant if there were several people smoking at once. But more often than not, that was not the case. It would be better if there was an area mildly segregated from the main seating imo. My colleague was not a fan of the loud traffic noise in his room. You can ask to be on the side that's not noisy, although I am not bothered by that myself so it wasn't an issue for me. I will say it is very loud (on the traffic side) if that's a thing that bothers you because it's a 50 mile an hour road and there would be trucks using brakes or blowing horns on occasion that I heard when I was getting up for one reason or another at night. And (at least to me) a surprising number of people driving Hemi's or show mufflers. They actually provide earplugs next to the bed, which is a nice touch for those who are bothered. (But if you are, just ask when you call or show up to be away from the roadway or sleep with earplugs or headphones.) Breakfast buffet was the standard Marriott type spread, much better than the average in terms of freshness and attentiveness to temperature from staff (full disclosure, I don't eat breakfast so this is my observation when I would go get coffee). I personally liked the coffee (for hotel coffee, mind you), my colleague not so much. I did try to walk to some of the nearby restaurants to get a little fresh air and can tell you this area is not made for walking, so I would not recommend that. Felt like I was taking my life in my own hands at that point.

Room was clean and well maintained and the coffee shop is lovely. Beautiful and safe area. On one day of my stay, I used the gym and afterwards needed to use a restroom. The restroom was extremely dirty, so I went to the third floor where theres patio was planning to use the restroom. A man (apparently Jeff) in the elevator continually asked why I was going to that floor. Being a solo female traveler, I ignored him. He kept badgering and asking if I was using the restroom or the patio. I politely ignored his questions. I used the restroom and planned to go back to my room shortly, and the man was still waiting in the elevator and asked "Did you just use the restroom? You know the restaurant isn't opened so you aren't allowed to be on this floor. Why did you use the restroom?" His tone was rude and aggressive. I was so disturbed that he watched me enter the restroom and waited to confront me afterwards. I firmly said to him "I'm a grown woman and I'll go where ever I want. Please don't speak to me again." And he walked away. Initially, I did not know he was an employee so I reported to the desk thinking this was a concerning guest, and they said oh that's Jeff like it was funny. Technically that floor is closed but his delivery was off. I let them know I was unaware of the restroom closure, there was no signage, and the gym restroom was filthy. Additionally, I am a young woman so why is an older man waiting to interrogate me and watch me enter the restroom? It's not like it's his job to provide security to the ladies room. This interaction was uncomfortable and I really hope they take this seriously as no woman wants to feel like an old man is watching every step they take when they're in an unknown place.

Even little things like the rounded diamond signage being staggered in placement feels congruous and shows an attention to detail that could easily have been missed and excused. But it wasn't. Can you tell I really liked it? The only thing I thought was off was that there wasn't a single piece of art in the rooms. The staff were all top notch! Friendly, helpful, and even kept their cool when the computer system went down during check in. They took care of everything. The hotel meets right up to a parking garage and your fees are waived. There is plenty of shopping and dining in the area within walking distance as well. It also appears that more construction is going up in the adjacent lots, so hopefully this place will stick around and maintain its upkeep. A member of my party who is not an IHG member was asked which floor they wanted and was given a ground-floor room. Yet I was not asked about my preference at check-in. I understand preferences are subject to availability, but I expected more consistency and more attention to member preferences. More concerning, on the morning of checkout, I was told checkout was at noon, but around 9:20 AM someone knocked and then used a key card to open my room door while I was in the shower! The only thing that prevented entry was the interior latch. That is a serious safety issue. I do not know who attempted to enter, and an occupied room should not be accessed before checkout while a guest is still inside. This needs to be reviewed as a room security issue.
