As much money as we raise for the fundraisers, they should have some sort of staff navigating traffic at least before school.

I grew up with older siblings and they always looked after me in elementary school and I wasn't sure how I could provide that for my child. To my surprise, my kindergartener is friends with the 8th graders! The school does a wonderful job teaching the older grades to look after the younger ones and is such a great relief that this school is anti-bullying and safe environment!! In addition, I've looked into other local private schools in Westchester and this school has no wait-list, much more affordable and is not at all far from the Westside:)

Ever since Ms. Luna became the new principal a lot of good changes have happened. She truly has made a difference. From creating the valet car for dropping off students in the mornings to having the after school program STEM where they create robots and compete against other schools. This motivates students to be involve in activities. If parents don't have the time to take them, they manage somehow to find the time to take them. I appreciate the effort! As far as teachers they're all have been great teachers! Just to mention a few Ms. Rodriguez, Ms. Castillo, Ms. Torres, Ms. Rosas, and Ms. Reedy. They've done a great job in teaching my daughters. Good amount of homework given. Field trips have been great. My daughters have been happy so far. Office staff, not the greatest but they try their best! I believe they can be better and more organized. I understand it can be insane speaking to over 50 parents a day just with 2 staff members. The school nurse is on point. Always calling me with any issues when my daughters go to the nurse's office.

My kid was in distress & the other parent wasn't supposed to enter the school per court order. Whole time I was on the phone with a friend who recorded everything & teacher voice is heard talking to both of us near his classroom. Conflicting his written statement to the court that the other parent didn't come inside the school and wasn't being disruptive. I was going through false accusations from other parent & I notified the school about conflicting statement & they said they will stand behind the teacher even though on their paperwork they noted they told him about the court order weeks prior. Just FYI to other parents.

I understand most parents work and have other children to take care of, so do Teachers, they have their own families, professional trainings, their lesson plans, the last minute changes due to district demands, however they make it their priority to serve our children and hire the most qualified teachers. My daughter has been in Brightstar schools since the fifth grade, she is now in 10th grade. She has been challenged so much in her classes and also encouraged by her teachers. Nevertheless the teaching and encouraging does not end at school, despite my busy schedule, I am the most influential person and the one with full responsibility to continue forming a part of her education. Consistency and persistence with love is a must for us parents. BSSCA has continued to fullfill my expectations as a parent. They encourage our children go far beyond their own expectations by offering AP classes at no cost to them. They award trips to high achieving students at no or minimum cost, unlike other schools. Of course no school is perfect, but BSSCA and their staff are there to address the issue and resolve the matter in a professional way making sure all parties are heard and involved. The staff is competent and caring. Needless to say my daughter has blossomed and continues to achieve each year. There have been bumps along the way, but with an appointment to address the issue, the staff is more than willing to handle the matter in a professional way. Personally I am so thankful to the way Principal Ms. Bonilla and Mr. Pappas have handled my concerns in the past, promptly and professionally. Also connector Ms. Alvarez has exceeded my expectations. This schoool is small and this makes the admistrators more aware of any situation that may arise which helps keep our students safe. This school is now my daughter's second family. She continues to Thrive!!
