Light House Marina, a family business, will get my business in the future. Todd, the owner and chief mechanic was thorough and explained in detail all that needed to be done, including some custom body work, and mechanicals. They also sell valvetech gas, which has the additives in it for extended fuel life. The cost for parts was spot on with what I could purchase on my own, which I appreciate the minimal markup, if any. I got very lucky, and they were able to get me in the same day for the mechanicals, and done quickly. The price for labor seemed reasonable to me, as my work required two people. They were also able to accommodate me bringing the boat in off the water, and on to one of their trailers for the work. Just a really nice experience all the way around. After…read moremany failed attempts, they have finally gotten the motor to run -- but the boat will only move forward. It won't go in reverse, which means it still isn't usable. When I called back about this, I was told that their job was only to make the motor run, not to make the boat drive. That response says everything about the service department here. A boat that can't go in reverse can't be launched, docked, or operated safely, and being told that isn't their concern is unacceptable. My dealings with the service department, and with Tanner in particular, have been consistently frustrating. I've been more than patient through repeated failed repairs, and I still don't have a working boat. I would strongly caution anyone before relying on this service department.
